3 Night Dream - 02-03-11

Glad to have you going with us! I am so excited! Not excited enough to really stick to my diet but excited. I guess I will be going shopping to get some clothes soon.

I'm right with you. I over indulged during the holidays and many of last spring and summer items are a bit snug around the middle and backside. I'm getting myself to the gym but I'm lacking willpower in my eating. I'm probably going to have to hit the mall to pick up a few things, I can't stand for my clothes to be to tight and I want room so I can enjoy all of the food on board. :)

We got our Docs for our 1/30 cruise but I don't really expect to get them for this one since I just booked this past Sunday. I'm just thrilled I'm done to single digits in my countdown!! :woohoo:

Well, so far I have lost 4 lbs of the holiday weight but I don't think that will be enough so I too will be hitting the mall this weekend. I can probably do another 2 by next Friday but then we will be at the Parks so I'm sure it will come right back !

I got our docs a week ago I suppse - and we had already chosen our room when we booked so unless we get dusted we know where we will be sleeping :)

HI just booked yesterday evening and am so excited!!! I read the entire thread and have not seen anything about trying to meet on the ship or FE gifts. or maybe I just missed it I was reading very fast and scanning the whole thread, perhaps to excited to concentrate, lol.
I will be with husband, a 7 year old and a 10 year old, and my sister in law.
:wizard:

It has been a quiet meet thread ! Welcome to the cruise :o) My dd is 10 so maybe they will meet up in the club. I am sure my Cate will be trying to get into the Edge though since her bday is Feb 21.

My teen has a similar issue. She is newly turned 18, and wants to check out the new teen area, but isn't willing to give up her newly acquired adult status - I.e. Palo & Serenity Bay!

DS won't be 11 till late June and he likes all the kiddie stuff--He is always with DD and loves to be in the lower age group unless of course there playing WII in the other room then he joins in. He loves to do the Flubber in both age groups. It's always a challenge to keep up with the schedule and changing him from one romm to the other. But we make it work. Can't wait what the Dream schedule will be!

We had 10 inches of snow last night and of course school is canceled for today but all is good because we will be on the Dream in 2 weeks! That's all I could think about while shoveling today.

wow - we had some snow last night but just enough to make the morning commute icy... so ready for some sun !

MY 6B GTY is a 5A! Yea we r right near the forward elevators. dowside to the upgrade is the room is right off the stairs and a little more forward than i like but also better than being all the way in the aft. Best part about it is I WILL B ON THE DREAM. I cannot wait to get out of the frigid cold of ohio.

Thanks! I am sooo excited to check out this ship and get out of the figid cold for a few days....now I wish i could do a B2B cruise...lol! Looks like the ship is gonna be full? Should be interesting. The cruise B4 this one looks light all categories still available. wonder why? Happy cruising!

Just to let everyone know that don't read all the messages in disboards....
I got an email from my TA yesterday about the horrible accident that occured on the highway to Port Canaveral. A tanker collided with a pickup truck killing two.

They are saying the eastbound part of the highway (getting to the ship) could be closed for more 3 weeks. The current recomended detour is to go south, thru Cocoa Beach and back up. It must be closing one of the last bridges you need to get to Port Canaveral. This will definately add to your time getting to the ship.
It has been a while since I've stayed in Cocoa Beach, but I'd guess the detour would take an additional 30 minutes.

Here's a link to the information, which contains additional links to the news and disboards thread:

Jeff.

Very sad. Thanks for the heads up. Praying for the families.

I've asked friends sailing this week to give me an update on the time it took to get to port.

More worried about catching the flight home than getting there.

Single digit dance for the flight down.:banana:

Oh swell. I didn't even give that a thought. :( Maybe the detour to Cocoa Beach is in order. I think the trip out will give a good idea of how much time it will add to the trip.

There is a new thread on the detour:
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2641250

From what I've read, the overpass for the main road (Rt 528) from Orlando to Port Canaveral is being totally repaired and will be closed for weeks. The detour for getting to/from Port Canaveral is to go down the exit across the road and back up the on ramp.
I'm sure it will add some delay, but not like having to take the long way around.

We'll be driving to the port, so I've been monitoring those threads.

Good thing there isn't a shuttle launch that day or I can imagine there would be quite a backup. ;)
Jeff....

We will be driving from Disney - dropping MIL off to the airport on the way - we will have plenty of time I am sure as her flight is at 12ish ...

is there an actual dis meet on board the ship? is there more than just like 6 dis people aboard the Feb 3 cruise? :cool1::banana:
