RC friends...you're gonna be proud! I'm attempting a multi-quote of 9!!!
I love how serious Faith was taking everything! Adorable!
What's her favorite princess?
Totally depends on when you ask her! She likes Snow White...that's who she was last year at BBB and for Halloween, but she likes Belle, too.
Speaking of the Intrior of CRT - when did it change from King Stefan's to CRT?

I also wonder how much the Interior changed. I remember the Prime Rib at King Stefan's - pretty good if my memory will go back to 1986.
As GrandParents we love CRT and would diffinately do it again with the little ones, especially girls - Just Magical ! ! !

rincess:
Here's the answer to your question, Dad....found this info on the web...actually kind of interesting.
Cinderella's Royal Table, formerly known as King Stefan's Banquet Hall, is a restaurant inside the castle. Located on the second floor, guests can take the circular stairway or the elevator to this royal dining room, where the younger guests are "princes" and "princesses", while the adults in the party are referred to as lords and ladies. Walt Disney Imagineers had originally wanted to give the restaurant a regal name, and since there are no well-known characters from "Cinderella" that met their criteria, they instead took a little dramatic license and chose the name of Sleeping Beauty's father, King Stefan. The name was changed on April 28, 1997, in order not to confuse tourists. If you look around the elegant restaurant, with its stained glass windows and medieval décor, you will notice more than forty coats of arms on display. Each of these is an actual family seal, and represent some of the many people that played a major role in the design and construction of Walt Disney World, including Roger Broggie, Sr. (Imagineer and railroad aficionado who aided in the design of many attractions), Marc Davis (animator and theme park designer), Roy O. Disney (Walt's brother), John Hench (who designed the castle), Diane Disney Miller (Walt's daughter), Dick Nunis (former Chairman of Walt Disney Attractions), and Marty Sklar (Imagineering vice chairman and principal creative executive who worked alongside Walt Disney).
What a wonderful start to the day! I REALLY want to have breakfast at CRT just once! I loved all of the pictures....especially the ones with Faith & her wand. How precious!!! Can't wait to hear what all y'all did!
Y'all should do it before Reid is too big! He would really enjoy the princesses talking to him and making a big deal about him 'slaying a dragon'!
DH and I also got the egg plate at CRT. Sounds like we should have gotten the french toast! I totally agree that it was a really cool experience, and I remember when my grandparents took me there for lunch almost 30 years ago. I'm sure if we get back to WDW while DD is still princess crazy we'll be back to CRT. I am wondering what the new restaurant at Beast's castle will be like though- might make the decision harder
I've been wondering the same thing!!! You can bet we are gonna try it. Somebody told me it was going to be a quick service during the day and TS at night....who knows.... MK needs another TS restaurant for sure.
I'm back from lurkdom. I know, I know, it's Day Nine. I have gotten so off schedule what with being in FL almost 3 weeks and creating the WL thread - are those legitimate excuses?
Despite my extended Strickland-TR posting absence, your TR is still
top notch and I'm sad that "our" trip is almost over

. CRT made me a little sad, too because DD12 is not even remotely interested in it, (not that she ever loved princesses). I "threatened" her last trip and told her that we'd be going to CRT not for her, but for DH

. I wonder what impact the opening of
Be Our Guest will have on CRT reservations?
Happy Friday!
Hmmmm....I can't imagine why you've been absent

...WL Thread, CR Thread, RC Thread, a trip to WDW.....no excuse, KOOK....

I haven't been on any other thread this week except for this one. So much catching up to do tomorrow morning!!!
I'm REALLY anxious to see what this new restaurant will entail. Surely it will be at least equal to CRT. I have a sneaky suspicion that ressies will fill up quickly for a while. Will your DD want to try it or not? I'm wondering which princesses will be there
To answer your question , yes I did have all my ADRs made but .........I am seriously considering changing the night we planned on going to MNSSHP and going to the 3-D Dessert Party at Epcot, and doing kMNSSHP another night so there I was checking ADRs to see what is available if I should switch things around and that darn Disney site goes all wacky on me
I rebooted and came on the DIS and it is not me it is the Disney site
Any who ha, you posted the second half of CRT while I was posting last night since it is there now
The meal at CRT sure has changed, not the food so much I guess but in how things are now done. Back when we went(dragged my two DSs ages 9&19, it was King Stephans Banquet, You know I do not even remember other than the servers any male character???
Cinderella was the only princess, no photo package, although she did visit each table and you could take pictures. No wands, no swords. We went back our second year too for Breakfast, first year was Lunch or Dinner not sure but I do know we had the prime rib. My DH asked for a beer and the server in this very athorative vice said " There is no beer in the Magic Kingdom" To this day when I think about that it makes me laugh.
Your pictures came out wonderful CRT is certainly someplace you have to go at least once if not more than once.
What's the 3-D Dessert Party??? Sounds interesting!! I have to laugh at the prime rib at King Stefan's....it brings back many memories. When we were kids, we ate there and had prime rib....the next night we ate at LeCeiler and I had prime rib...the next night....I had prime rib. I'm sure my dad remembers that. No lie...I had prime rib 4 nights in a row...not sure why!
Y'all are going to have a great time at MNSSHP....I'm gonna miss it this year

It's so much fun!!! Hopefully you can get your ADRs taken care of. We ate at the Wave last year before the party...surprisingly good!!!
oh I loved this update. I have never eaten at CRT. I really thought I would never get there either...with having 2 boys and all. I even contemplated taking my goddaughter on our next trip so I could use her as an excuse of why we should eat there.

But now I think I can sell it to the boys because they get swords. I never realized this before. Oh Im sure they will go for it.
I know they will love it once they are there. Ryan my almost 7yr old gets very shy around pretty girls so hopefully he will be grown out of that by our next trip. It will be pretty funny if all the pictures are of me and the princesses while my boys just sit and watch.
too bad faith didnt get her wish. She looked so precious. the one of her with her eyes closed making her wish brough tears to my eyes. You could just feel the magic in the picture. So cute.
Disney brings out the Magic in all they do! I get teary eyed at any WDW fireworks show, especially Wishes!! It's funny to listen to my kids say their prayers at night....they always pray for Disney World

Guess the Magic continues with them at home. Y'all should try CRT at least once...play up the whole "you get a sword" thing. It worked for us
Heather,
Jasmine has been there. She was there when we have been. I can ask my DH to verify that - I know he remembers

Faith's expression is priceless

My DD, who will be 14 when we go next June, picked CRT as one of her must have meals. She loves the french toast sticks. When you posted the prices from All Ears, all I could think of was $44.00 french toast sticks

lol!
Luckily a couple of my coworkers are big WDW fans.
So I can talk Disney at work with people who understand.
Thanks again for taking the time to post this TR.

It is so enjoyable (and informative).
Amy
REALLY??!! I so wish Jasmine had been there!! It's so hard to find her. She wasn't at Akershus last year, either. Each time we've seen her in the parks, the line has been ridiculously long!!
I'm cracking up laughing

at the $44 french toast sticks!!! I've never thought about that....the things we do for our kids! If I told some of my friends what it cost for CRT, they would think that I've lost my mind! You're lucky to have friends at work that enjoy Disney...most of the people that I'm surrounded by at work constantly laugh at me

It's a joke now....'how many times will Heather go to WDW this year!'
I love the CRT pictures. We did Askerus, and the kiddos LOVED seeing all of the princesses. Each DD has a different favorite. Faith is TOO adorable, I love the "wishing" pic...I take myDisney wishes pretty seriously myself
Apparently your Disney Wishes are coming true! 2 trips within months of each other!!! By the way....how's the packing coming along???
