3 Generations! 2 Resorts! 10 Days! DxDp! 3000 Pictures! - Saying Good-Bye!

I love those Mickey ice creams! Scared I'd lose my little guy in the crowd, maybe a visit when we are not there in August. My 2012 trip DH doesn't know about yet ;)

OK Heather,
I'm REALLY going to start to pack. Just started some :laundy:

Ok....I'm in agreement with Amanda. You might want to wait until Brian is a bit older. It's really kinda hard to keep your eye on them. Chasing kids is no fun!!!:scared1: Give him a couple of years and he'll have a blast!

Packing update??.....popcorn::

Oh, that looks like so much fun!!! Wonder if it is only during the summer months? Would love to take DGD in late October!

Love your pics, Heather...kids are soo cute...grandparents look so happy! Oh, and the way you frame them - is that from photobucket? I have to learn how to do that!

I'm still catching up...must go back to read about your arrival at CR. :)

(Pack? Did someone mention they still need to pack? Heck, you have DAYS to pack!!!:rolleyes1:dance3:)

Thanks!! I know that the BBQ is seasonal, but not sure which months it is closed. I'm guessing that it would be the colder months. Your DGD would LOVE it!!! And yes....I use Photobucket...very easy:thumbsup2

Great update, Heather! Love all the pictures, as usual! I wish we had been able to stay for the finale when we had taken Reid last December. Little turkey - running away from us! :headache: Maybe we'll go back soon while he's still little & actually get to see the ending. I can't wait to hear about breakfast at CRT. I've always wanted to go there just to be eating in the castle.

Even though CRT is a meal with princesses, I think Reid would still like it. Both of my boys love it!...no lie! Y'all should try the BBQ again in a couple of years when you don't have to keep your eyes glued to Reid:laughing: Faith was like the perfect age!

Hi Heather! You have a lovely family. :goodvibes

It took me a little while but I found you... subscribing. Now time to start reading...:surfweb:

Thanks, MAGIC....glad to have another RC follow along! :yay:

Reading all your reports and loving them..my husband and I and our 5 very EXCITED:yay::woohoo::rotfl::yay::woohoo: children are heading to Disney on Friday!!!! Thanks for sharing..you have a beautiful family!!

It runs from March through December. But they only do it like 2 days a week - Thursdays & Saturdays, I think. I know when we took Reid in Dec. 2010 it was on a Thursday.

I do think Reid would enjoy it. He knows who pretty much all of the princesses are. But, he does get VERY shy around girls. :rotfl: I do have it on my list of possible ADR's for our Oct. 2012 trip. I'm not sure if I would do it for breakfast or dinner. Any thoughts?

I wouldn't mind doing the BBQ again. Even though it hasn't even been a year since that disastrous moment at the BBQ, I would probably even go ahead & take Reid now. He is a million times better at listening than he was then. Don't get me wrong, he isn't perfect at listening, but he is tons better. Isn't amazing how much they can change in a matter of months?

Can't wait to hear what you thought of CRT for breakfast. We did it 2 weeks ago. I'm interested to hear what all of you thought. :)

:laundy: Packing? DD6 is ready, and I promised we would REALLY get going tomorrow.

I'm jealous of the unlimited Mickey Bars.

I only ate one....promise:rolleyes1

Thanks so much! Hope y'all have a fabulous trip and safe travels. Maybe the crowds will be low for you since many of us have started back to school.

We've done breakfast and lunch....I enjoyed both, but like getting into the park early to get pictures and be in Fantasy Land at ropd drop.

Just wait until 2012...you'll see a huge difference in the things he enjoys at Disney compared to what he liked on your past trip....and you're right...the listening part gets MUCH better.

Backyard BBQ looks so much fun!

Loads of fun:thumbsup2....very high energy to say the least!

Did y'all like it??? There are always mixed reviews...many times because of price.

Hmmmmm............that doesn't sound promising:rolleyes1

Early Morning Magic Kingdom
Cinderella’s Royal Table – Part 1
Day 9

When I woke up, it hit me….this was day 9!!! Yikes!!! Our trip is ending…..always a downer, ya know. But then I realized….we’ll be back at some point.

Once again, a beautifully clear morning! Not a cloud in the sky! The view from the CR Tower is just awesome…you can see for miles!!

IMG_6552.jpg

This picture doesn’t do the view justice, but there were tons of hot air balloons floating through the sky….quite beautiful!

IMG_6551.jpg

Needless to say, we were anxious to get downstairs and start our short walk over to the MK.

DSC_4436.gif

I’ve probably said it 1000 times during this TR, but I’ll say it again…the walk to the MK is soooooo convenient and really a nice tranquil walk.

DSC_4438.jpg

I know it was a bit early…like 7:30am…but I was surprised that we basically had the sidewalk to ourselves. Guess everyone is asleep!

IMG_6559.jpg

This is a view I will never tire of seeing!!!

IMG_6562.jpg

It’s always strange to see WDW asleep….no buses….yet!

DSC_4440.jpg

The GF was looking oh so spectacular across the Seven Seas Lagoon….I’m REALLY wanting to make a return trip there.

DSC_4441.jpg

We arrived well before 7:45am, and there was already a line forming for early entry. I was quick to take our place in line so we could make a mad dash to the CRT:rolleyes1

DSC_4452.jpg

They let us in around 7:50ish. It’s always funny to see other people like me…..walking really, really fast….trying to be first in line. Then I think to myself…..do I look and act that ridiculous??!! ....the answer....YES!

So what’s going on here???? Not sure, but WDW was obviously shooting some sort of film/video. If I wasn’t in such a hurry, I would stop and ask.

DSC_4454.jpg

IMG_6572.jpg

One thing that we did stop for was a picture!!! Not gonna miss a photo opportunity!

Photo0079FourBySix.jpg

Photo0074FourBySix.jpg

And who can say no to a picture of the castle???!!! How many of these shots do I have?!! TONS! And I can assure you that on the next trip, I’ll be right back in this same spot!

IMG_6574.jpg

DSC_4459.jpg

Thought I would try this new editing tool on Photobucket...not sure why BlueMoon is sponsoring it….but it adds something different with the castle.

DSC_4458.jpg

One day I’m going to make a later ressie for breakfast and just meander around Main Street & the Castle area. There really is tons of interesting Disney memorabilia to see. The picture below is one of the things that I would like to check out with more time....I didn’t realize that all the murals tell a story.

IMG_6588.jpg

Ok….time for check-in at…..

DSC_4460.jpg

I’m getting hungry! We were hoping that the wait wouldn’t be too long. The hostess was more than polite and sent us right in to have our pictures made with Cinderella....talking about quick!!

IMG_6591.jpg

Faith has been looking forward to this meal for days! She loves CRT!!!

DSC_4461.gif

And if you think Faith was excited….believe it or not….so were the boys!

DSC_4464.gif

They were very ready for breakfast and for the princesses!....yes, the boys were extremely anxious for this meal, too…..they remembered how much fun they had last year when we had lunch at CRT.

DSC_4466.jpg

We were basically some of the first to enter the restaurant and were given a fabulous seat with a wonderful view!!! I could not have been more pleased!

DSC_4472.jpg

Stay tuned!.....more to come with CRT Breakfast….Part 2!

Thanks so much for the update - your castle pictures are great! I don't think you can have too many castle pictures.

No kidding, right!?! I should go back and count my castle pictures...they probably all look the same! But like I said....when I get the chance, I'll be right back in the same extact spot flashing more pictures!

Love all of your pictures....as always! I can't believe that wonderful view y'all had from the table! I can't wait to hear how breakfast was. It's on my list of possible ADR's for next October so if you give it a bad review, I'm not booking it. No pressure! Just kidding....kind of! :lmao:

I did want to ask you if y'all have ever done the character breakfast at OHana's? For our quickie get-away in December, I wanted to book just one character breakfast. But, because we're only doing 2 park days, I wanted a 1st thing ADR. My 1st choice would be either 8am at CP or 7am at CM. But, since neither one of those are available (as of right now), I've booked OHana at 7:30am on our MK day (our last park day). But, I've heard so many mixed reviews of it that I'm trying to decide whether or not to keep it. Of course, I'm also stalking the Disney reservations online for CP or CM! :rotfl2:

We used the dining plan, so the price didn't bother us. We considered it a must do for our princess loving DD4 princess:. We were seated 20 mins. early:thumbsup2, our server was awesome, but the food was just ok. I honestly would have rather been having benigets at POFQ. I had also read some people were disappointed with the character interaction at some places. I found that here as well as CP, 1900, Akershus, and Chef Mickeys that the characters kind of fed off of DD's energy. At 8:20 she was a little low-key, so they didn't spend a ton of time with her which was perfectly ok with us. I guess overall the food was the big disappointment here. What did your family think?
Love the family pics. Those are great!:cool1:

I love the castle, it brings tears to my eyes:worship: My friend at work said one of her friends is "one of the Cinderellas". That's the coolest! All my sons enjoy hamming it up with the Princesses :lovestruc Your family pictures by the castle look fantastic :thumbsup2

I'm really curious as to what they were doing on Main Street!

Wish I knew...should have asked someone! I could kick myself now for not.

We had a great experience at Ohana for breakfast! My kids really enjoyed it...food was good...character interaction was great. I haven't read any recent reviews lately, so not sure what the negatives would be. Why not try it?! If it's horrible,...never go back!

We really, really like it! Since we were on the dining plan, we didn't notice the price all that much either. I would certainly go back with no hesitation.

Thanks!! How totally awesome would that be?!! Cinderella!

Do y'all get the Photopass? If so....we'll all be expecting a family picture to be posted:thumbsup2

In regard to the early entry for ADR's, how early will they let you in? I managed to get early breakfast ADR's for nearly every park, and all of them are five minutes after the first available time. (For instance, I have an 8:10 ADR at Crystal Palace.) Should I expect being told to wait a few extra minutes while others are let in behind me, or is it likely I'll be let right in if I'm in the 15-20 minute window?

Another great update, as usual! I truly love all of your photos--especially the one of Walt and Mickey in front of the castle. :thumbsup2

Thanks so much!! You'll be able to get in the park when it opens for ADRs with no problem at all. They have never actually checked our times at the gate. If you have an ADR at Akershus, just make sure you allot enough time to walk there:laughing: It took us a good 15 minutes....and for some reason, I'm thinking EP opened earlier for those of us with ADRs than the MK did. You're smart getting those breakfast ressies:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 So nice to be in the park when it opens!

Hope y'all have wonderful mornings in the the parks!
Heather

We have our photopass :goodvibes I plan to be diligent in remembering to take pics for my RC family.

Ok, don't laugh, but....um, I've already changed my mind about doing breakfast at OHana. :sad2: Even though I got the 1st possible time of the morning (7:30), I started worrying that we wouldn't make it to MK for RD. I'm stalking the Disney reservations online & I'm hoping & praying for a 7am Chef Mickey's ADR or 8am Crystal Palace. Let's hope some pixie dust comes my way! :wizard:
