We always went to 'Ohana for breakfast, never for dinner. I had no clue how popular their dinner was until I started to DIS!
Ed really wanted to try Ohana on our last trip but the only ADR that kept pulling up was for like 9:00. Way too late to eat dinner, especially with a 3 year old. But, it sounds delicious & we'll (hopefully) eat there one day. Sorry about the crappy service. But, at least it sounds like y'all were still able to enjoy y'alls dinner!

We will be eating at 'Ohanas for the first time in October. When I showed DH pics of the skewers of meat, he wanted to go there. I can not wait since I love the Poly, went there one year for the Aloha dinner show.
Thanks for your honesty. Hearing about your experience with the server makes me feel a little better about not being able to get the Ohana reservation![]()

Isn't it good?!?! As I was working on the post this afternoon, the pictures were making me sooooo hungry! I could eat my weight in those dumplings and bread/butter. Funny though...there are people who hate Ohana's foodBut then, I guess that's with any restaurant. Do y'all go there on every trip?

Hopefully your service will be betterAt least the food will be good
And if you like bread pudding, then you'll be fine...that's basically all I go for
I'll be anxious to see how you like it. Let us know!
I have never gone to Disney without going to dinner at Ohana's. Its my families favorite restuarant! Seeing your pictures brought back great memories! Will be there in 27 days!![]()
Started reading your TR yesterday and finally got up to date. LOVE your pics. They all turned out so well
Thanks so much! My dad and I love making pictures...wish I had time to take a photography class. Just not gonna happen at this point...3 kids with 3 activities leaves little time...as you know, right!
We have never stayed/eaten at CR, just took the monorail through it, but this next trip we are planning on eating at Chef Mickey's with the kiddos. So, my question...where at CR is that metal MM head you took pics at?
The Mickey is outside near the pool area...when you walk out the doors, you won't be able to miss it. It's a great spot for a family photoAre y'all doing breakfast or dinner at Chef Mickey's?
Looking forward to reading more
Glad to have you follow along! Have you decided where you will be staying when you return? So many choices!!!
Heather, Pop (aka Yellowbellow) and Ma Hopie,
Thanks for the replies
Grandparents are special in children's lives.
My DS wants to do the PL when we go next June. He'll be 11 1/2 then. I'm glad that other readers mentioned their children loved it and they were around that age.
I think DisneyDoc5's DS was around 12 and enjoyed it (I think I remember that)
I showed my DS your review of the PL and he was all excited!
Did your children get hot in the costumes?
We'll be there in early June (if everything goes as planned).
Can't wait to read more of the TR

i have gotten behind so i need to catch up but im so excited to try ohana this time. It will be my 1st lapu lapu!
You'll have to take your family there on y'alls next trip...do you think they would like it?
Fantastic TR! We love to camp and thought about the FW cabins, but we know that a double bed is not going to to work for DH and I. I never thought about one of us in the murphy bed, great idea!
Can't wait for more![]()
Oh its on my to do list. I know my dh and my father will love it. They are big meat eaters. Im not sure so about my kiddos but hopefully there taste buds will change by then. I am hoping to plan dinner so that we can go out and watch wishes and the water pagent when we are done eating.

The Poly
I've never stayed at the Poly but it is definetely at the top of my list when it comes to resorts I want to stay at. I am in love with Hawaiin theming and hawaii everything, it just includes so many pretty flowers and colors. I was at the movies with my dad last week when an ad came on for the DVC Hawaii villas, I asked him when we were going but did not get a positive response
I feel like I am always the first person responding to your posts! I think we are always on the Dis at the same time.
