3/22 Magic cruisers

Late seating for us also. It was all that was available, but I think it will work out best for us as we're Pacific Time also.

We have the late seating.. and that is what we prefer.

We go to the show, come back and relax a bit, and then head off to dinner. My folks went to Palo's last cruise, and while they were glad that they did, they said that this time they stay on the scheduled dining rotation.

It's a yucky blustery day here near Chicago... looking forward to our cruise even more!!!

We have late seating as well. We had it last time and it worked out very well. We had a snack before the show and enjoyed relaxing over dinner (no need to rush because someone would need our table later).

I have to tell you that we're having the most GORGEOUS weather here in Portland. Record highs and beautiful sunny skies for the 2nd week now. Of couse, Sigafoos was right about the skiing being lousy. And, our forests will be on fire this summer as our snow pack is non-existent.
Sorry, I just had to brag- we normally don't see sunshine in Oregon in the winter.

Hi everyone,

My husband and I will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. We will be without any children, although I do love Disney and watching children's reactions to all that Disney does for them. Are there anyother young oldsters out there going on this cruise. We are going to have the late seating for dinner, and this is our first cruise also. I am so excited, I can hardly stand myself. This forum has been great though, answered alot of my questions. Hope to meet some of you on the 22nd.

Hi, Mowanda,
I will be traveling with my DH as well as my 3 kids (8, 5, and 23 mos.). My DM is traveling with us also. She's going to be sharing a cabin with my 8 and 5 yr olds (she will be the one who looks like she needs Valium after spending a week with those two!) :earsboy: :earsgirl:

Hi Donnadavid,

Thanks for responding. I know how your mom will be feeling probably, as I have five grandchildren, ages 3 to 7. When we all get together, even though I love them with all my being, they do ware me out. I hope to meet you all on the 22nd, and if your mom needs to just talk to someone without children around, she is more than welcome to converse with us. I can;t wait for this trip!!

At least that 10/18 post isn't on top of our post, but it's definitely time for a BUMP! :sunny:

I agree! We need to be on top! I still need to finalize a few things this week that I have been putting off. I have to book a ride from the hotel to the port Sat morning and reserve a car for after the cruise. I don't know which one we will use either Avis or Budget. Also need to pick the company for the trip to the port, I'm going to check Youride, they have the cheapest price on their website. It shows 80 for a van and other companies show over100 so I will check it out. The excitement is growing!

MY HUSBAND AND I WILL BE THERE, WE WERE ON THE 1/18 CRUISE, WEATHER WAS COLD IN PORT CANAVERAL AND IN KEY WEST ONLY 60 THAT DAY, MISSED CASTAWAY CAY AND WAS ONLY IN THE 50'S THAT DAY, SO HOPING THE WEATHER IS BETTER THIS CRUISE

Welcome Bengals! Our last DCL was 1/00 and it was too cold. We should have warm but not too warm weather in March.

Kim, I used Yourride last March for WDW and it was a good experience. We're renting a car from Avis and dropping it at the Radisson (since we're staying there the night before the cruise.) Picking the car back up for our day at WDW. I got a mini-van for about $55 (MCO to Radisson) and $75 (Radisson to MCO) through Costco.

How about that weather on the East Coast! I hope everybody made it out for their cruise last weekend.:smooth:

DonnaDavid
What code did you use for the mini-van? I used a code from Costco and it was over 100, we also need a mini-van. I think I will call Youride I just know how excited I will be Sat morning and don't want to have to go get a car. We are staying at a airport hotel the night before so we would't need the car until morning.
Kim

Thanks DonnaDavid, I will try booking through Costcos site. I also thought that a diiference in the times we want to keep the van on Sunday would make a difference. We fly out at 5 Sunday so I want to keep it until about 3. We will be getting in a little late that night(11:00pm) so we will be tired Monday morning but it gave us more time in WDW so we will suffer. Actually I will probably take the day off so once everyone else goes to work and school I will sneak a nap:p

We dropped to page 3! Am I the only one checking this site morning and night? We are down to 30 days!! YEA!! I think today I will go shopping for summer clothes, yes I know its a horrible chore but someone has to do it:p . I feel very lucky to have the mild weather we have after watching the news reports fron the east, I like snow but digging a car out of it doesn't sound like fun!
Kim

It's like a spring day here (Calgary, Canada) The sun is shining and I'm going to go look for some summer clothes too. It might be a wild goose chase (February is not usually a good time to find summer clothes in Canada!) but I'll have fun. Maybe I'll go to Chapters and look at picture books of the Caribbean! I can't wait. This Saturday it will only be 4 weeks to go. And to think that I started my countdown timer at 295 days........

I live in Delaware, and we have a mountian of snow here!! Really makes thinking about the cruise that much more exciting. I can't wait to put my swim suit on and lay in a deck chair on the Magic. I went shopping Friday night, before the blizzard, and bought a disney shirt with a nautical theme, shorts and a disney sleep shirt! I was thrilled to find these disney themed clothes at our local K-Mart. I hope to meet many of you on the cruise, would be nice to have a time and place that those who wanted to could come and have a little meet and greet time. Four weeks from Saturday and counting!!

Okay, Sigafoos, I'm still here. It is disgraceful to let the Fall cruisers get ahead of us (you know how I feel about those 10/18 people. Now they're replaced by the 11/8 cruisers!) Unfortunately, my beautiful Oregon is being ravaged by a terrible budget deficit and I'm agonizing over where I can go to get my children educated. I would much rather be cruising the internet for cruise info than school info.

I think it would be great to get together sometime on the cruise. Maybe sometime Sunday we could meet for a mini-Dis meet at sea. :)

We'll be there, too!!!! It will me, my DH and DS (7 years old). We had originally booked for June 7th (my 40th birthday), but we got a great Florida Residents rate for Spring Break. We also had to change to the late dinner seating.

A big 3-22 welcome to our latest addition disneyfreak1! Our cruise is finally filling with DIS cruisers. Well here we are down to 29 days, can you believe it. My shopping trip yesterday was a bust. Never go shopping with your 18 year old DD beacause when she tried on the same things I did it just never looked as good on me! Its like looking in a mirror and seeing how I looked 20 years ago, sad:( . But the good thing is we like the same things so I don't cringe when she picks out clothes! Oh well we had fun, this is her first year at college and although she comes home at least every other weekend if I want to see her more it is easy all I have to do is say I'm going to the mall, want to come? and she magically appears!:) Its is the opposite of DS15 if I want to talk to him the fastest is to pm him on his computer in his room!
