We are hoping for a 2 BR at BCV for 3rd week of June 2011. Do you think it could be available?? If so, is there a view / area I should suggest? We will have 2 teenage girls with us and my parents. Thanks:goodvibes

I was able to book a 2 bdrm at BCV for our Spring Break. We're actually doing a split stay between THV/BCV. When I called, they were wide open. All 3 categories on 2 bdrm were available and I felt very lucky to get a 2 bdrm dedicated. I personally requested a view of the quiet pool. I have heard the second floor has the biggest balconies, but I didn't request that. I figured the broader my request, the better chance I have of getting it. I think you'll be OK, but make sure to call on the first day of your 7 mo. window. Good Luck!:goodvibes

I think the 3rd week in June is fairly popular. However, if you call exactly at 7months, you may be lucky enough to find a reservation as someone else is switching from BCV to another resort. Good Luck!

I can't speak for June, but we just booked a 2BR at BCV at the 7-month mark for the end of May. We had no problems at all. Good luck!

I called member services a few minutes after 9 in the morning on October 21 and was able to book a dedicated 2BR at BCV for our stay May 21-28, 2011.

Just piping in to say good luck! We will be there at the same time 19th - 25th. We have a 2bd dedicated booked with 2Q in the second bdroom. Now ofcourse I booked right at my 11th month so I didn't have a problem. We will be down there with 2 teenage girls. If it isn't available waitlist!

As long as you don't plan on the dedicated two bedroom villa with two queen beds in the second bedroom.

A full week may be a gamble, but it is likely that you can pick up most of it and waitlist for the rest, which if you do it right at 7 months there is a good chace of it filling. There have been some nervios months, but in the end I have always gotten what I wanted at BCV in June by booking what I could and waitlisting for the rest.

Made my reservation at the 11 month mark for a 2BR with 2 QU in second BR at BCV for the second week in June. The original reservation was only for 4 nights because I was "saving" some points for a waitlist that I was hoping would come through for a trip that we just took at BCV Oct 7-13. The waitlist didn't come through so when we got home I added 2 more nights to our June reservation with no problem. The CM said there were plenty of 2 BR/2QU available. Last week I changed our reservation to a dedicated 2BR (1 QU & 1 sofabed in the second BR) because we are really hoping to get our request of a first floor pool view and there are no 2 QU in second BR on the first floor. Anyway, to make a long story longer........there were plenty of 2 BRs of the new catagory that I chose as well. I agree with the other posters though that you should call at 0900 at your 7 month mark. Keep us posted as to how you make out. Good Luck:thumbsup2

I know it's not for June, but I was able to get May 21-31, BCV 2BR, 2Q in 2nd BR last week at 7 months. I called pretty soon after MS opened each day, but had no problems adding on each time until I got all 10 nights. This includes the Memorial Day weekend, which I was a little bit worried about, but it all worked out fine.

I successfully booked at BC a dedicated two bedroom and a studio today at the 7 month mark for the first week in June. I called right at 9:00 and the CM said they had 2-2 bedrooms available at that time. Good luck!

we are really hoping to get our request of a first floor pool view

My wife and I will be in a 1 bedroom at BCV Feb 10-13 2011 without the kids to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We've never stayed at BCV before. A first floor pool view room sounds like fun if it means easy access to the hot tub. I assume you can go straight out your room to the pool/hot tub (i.e., you don't have to use the hallway)? Can anyone who has liked staying in a first floor BCV pool view room tell me more about it?

You can access the pool area from your patio but you are really not suppose to. You will have to walk through the landscaping.

Be very careful if you do this, there are snakes that can rest in the shrubs.

We had a first floor pool view and I hated it. Very loud all night and the lights at the pool are very bright. I felt like I was in that Seinfield episode where Kramer could not sleep due to the bright sign.

Also people borrowed our patio chairs for a party at their room and there is no privacy.

I would not do it again.

You can't lock the patio door from the outside. And each patio is surrounded by shrubs, so you really can't go to the pool from the patio.

Sammie and Deb & Bill, Thanks for the quick responses -- that's just the sort of info I was looking for. I think I'll avoid the first floor pool view if at all possible. Cheers, Carl

It can be done -

In 2007 we were able to book at the 7 month window a 2BR for 8 nights for the last week of June into the beginning of July; we were up on the 5th floor overlooking the pool; we had 2 balconies - one off the master BR and a bigger one of the living room.

In 2009 we were able to book a 2BR for 4 nights at the 7th month window;also in July. This time we were not overlooking the pool but we were able to see the fireworks at EPCOT from our balcony.

We preferred the pool view better.

As former posters have stated, there are low shrubs in front of the patios at the sliding glass doors. Depending where your room is, the shrubs vary in density. If you look at the room layout on www.ParkInfo2go you will see where the 1 BR villas are located. Rooms 108 and 110 are closest to the hot tub but the shrubs are thick there and you wouldn't be able to walk directly out to the hot tub and pool from your patio door. You also wouldn't be able to see your patio door from the hot tub. Our favorite rooms have been 136 and 138. We always use the patio door to get to the pool and hot tub. The hedge is easy enough for me to straddle without disturbing the bushes and I'm 5'2". (also the smallest one in my family) I'm also CRAZY about flowers and gardens and would NEVER disturb the plantings. Just ask my kids. When they were growing up, it was an automatic "out" if someone kicked the kickball in my flowerbeds. We LOVE the pool view and are dissappointed when we don't get it. I doubt that it will be noisy in Feb. It may be to cold for most to swim in the pool. Oh, but that hot tub would be heavenly. Enjoy your trip!

Just so you know, in case you missed the discussion a child was bit by a water mocassin retrieving a toy from the shrubs at a Disney resort. Please be careful. Pgymy rattlers also like to rest in the shrubs.

Plus if they intended for you to go through the shrubbery, they would have installed some stepping stones or a path through the shrubs. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.
