Hope this can help someone. My travel dates don't fall during this time but it may work for many of you!

Found this on another board. You can get a $25 off code to use for travel between September 8, 2011 and January 30, 2012.
Blackout dates apply November 22 through November 29, 2011, and December 15, 2011 through January 2, 2012. If any portion of travel falls on a blackout date, the discount will not apply.

I used a similar promo from the visit Florida site back in the summer of 2010 and I did go to FL but I had some extra codes that I passed on to my IL's in Phoenix to fly to Omaha and they had no problem using them. When you read the terms and conditions there is no mention of FL only. Worth a shot!

I haven't had any problems with viruses from this site in the past or now, but then I'm also on a Mac?

I used it previously as well, but it was for a flight to Florida.

I had no issue with the virus program. Took me right to the page, on the visitflorida website. I also remember the promo from the last time, and there were no issues with it back then.

Trust me, I know any time something happens, because I'm not an admin on this computer, so I get a pop up warning.

It says in the details it may take up to 7 days to get the code. I do remember when I used it in 7/2010 that it took awhile and I had thought it wasn't working until they surprised me in my inbox several days later.

As for good deals in my experience the closer you are to traveling, especially within 2 weeks the prices skyrocket! I'd skip waiting for the codes and book ASAP! Do the blackout dates fall in your travel time?

I have 2 of these codes to share. I signed up but didn't realize the date I needed to book was blacked out. They are blacked out Dec 15-Jan 2. Anyone flying outside those dates and before Jan 30, PM me and they're yours.

Thanks for the info! I already booked awhile ago but our departing flight leaves at 9am and I wish we had the last flight... I feel like I am losing an entire day.... Just hoping is all...

I've noticed on Southwest, the price doesn't jump until within a one week window. You might get lucky and find a decent rate (either first flight or last flight out). I was able to change a flight to a week later for only $10 more the last time I flew.

I'm flying Dec 14 and Jan 4, just outside of the peak holiday prices.
