23 days, yeah! No Magic Bands...boo!

I sometimes wonder how they work. We got our bands for 12/8, but not 12/6. My sister got her DME tags last week for 12/9.
 
Just received my second set of magic bands last night for our split stay, arriving 11/30.

11 DAYS To go!!!!!!!!!

Our first shipping notice said they wouldn't be here until November 19th, but just checked shipping status, and we are getting them today!! Woohoo!!! :) :cool1:
 

I check in on December 21, hopefully, Disney will take into account shipping delays during the Holidays.
 
I got the shipping notice yesterday, but just checked and they are still in "preshipping" according to the tracking number. I still have over two weeks, so not worried. Actually, I probably would have preferred just picking them up at the resort if that were listed as an option.

They were just delivered...wow, that was fast. Shipping notice on Wednesday, delivery on Friday.
 
We're at the 20 day mark and ours still show the "check back soon" message. I called and didn't get very far with the agent. "Be patient, you have time."

I think that was my first time ever calling Disney and not having my question answered for me. :\

We're at about 22 and I had called Wednesday because of my upcoming trips. The agent said he'd expedite. They still haven't shipped, so I called again. The person I spoke to said she'd send an expedite email, but told me they might not see it.

This has been the most frustrating experience I've ever had with Disney. They know their hotel capacity, they know their occupancy patterns. They should have the magic band "factories" match that, so that once personalization ends, they can ship within a few days.

Also, there seems to be no order to it. We have our 24 days from now bands, not our 21 days from now bands.

At least if we have them 4 days before we go, I can get my husbands decorated, and mine partially done before we go.

Mine shipped right at the 20 day mark I believe, if you don't get a notification by Monday, I'd call back. Did you ask them to check if there was a hold on the bands, or did you just say they hadn't shipped yet?
 
I have 3 sets. The first set shipped the day after my last day to customize. The other two still haven't shipped. I called Disney yesterday to ask if there was a hold on them and there was. It was because the names I made for the bands didn't match the names of the people they were linked to. Of course, neither did the bands that have already shipped and arrived. Today one set of bands has changed to "Your MagicBand order is being personalized. Check back soon for shipping details." and the other set is still "Act Quickly! Your order my ship at any time!"

Ours shipped this morning, our 20 day mark. I hadn't called, but was going to today if they didn't ship. Hopefully everyone who is still waiting will have them ship soon!

I'd say to give it a couple of days and call back, if you get the same response, ask to talk to a supervisor. I also saw one tip earlier in this thread (I think), that suggested choosing the option for support with the website, because that brings you to the IT CMs instead of the regular customer service CMs.

Try the on-line help. It takes a while to get someone, and their responses take a while, but they were helpful for me.

I think it helps to call back and request for the IT department rather than the customer service. Also, I would suggest to be upfront with the cast member and tell them that you would prefer to receive it at home (rather than the resort) and to ask if they could go ahead and expedite your MagicBands anyway! The worst they can do is say no, and you'll be back to square one, but there's a chance that they'll say yes. Hope this works for you!

And don't count on the expedite for anything. An IT cast member told on Wednesday he would expedite the bands - they still haven't shipped.
 
Ours arrived yesterday for our 11/28 arrival.
Not sure how they figure out when to send what.
The ones for 11/29 and 12/6 arrived over a week ago.

So our bands were customized with nicknames and that was one of the concerns with why it might be held up but I'm guessing there was no issue as it seems like they are pushing them out at 20 days out now which is cool, I just wish they would say that's what they are doing now as us vets that have stacks of bands and received every one of them at 29 days out it is a little nerve wrecking lol.

I wonder if it's the time of year? Those of us coming in early December are right after the Thanksgiving rush. Maybe if we were going in early March or something they'd have shipped sooner.
