23 days, yeah! No Magic Bands...boo!

Do the shipping notices always go out in the wee hours of the morning? I'm very frustrated - while our second set is shipped the first is not. My schedule between now and when we go is nuts - if they don't arrive here by next Wednesday, I won't see them until possibly the day before we leave (I go to San Diego next Wednesday through Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend, and the next morning I go to Boston for a business trip - probably getting home in the afternoon of the day before we get on a 6am flight to Florida).

Just an FYI - I put nicknames on both my kids bands and that did not cause them to go on hold. They were not typical shortened names either. Like my daughter is Natalie and her band says Nat-Boo, which is what everyone calls her. Nicknames should not cause a hold or a delay.

I called Disney again yesterday and they said it was too late to send out the bands, so they should be waiting for us at the resort. I do plan on bringing some things to try and decorate but our trip is so jam packed that I am unsure if I will even have the time to do anything.

I did have an issue with my name on our original reservations and I wonder if that is what put a hold on our hands. I ended up speaking to a customer service manager and they comped me for the inconvenience and disappointment I experienced.

I got my notice too! It's as if floor supervisor Goofy finally realized the Magic Band machine was unplugged.

Woo! That makes me happy to hear. 3 of us just have our names but my dd 6's name is 10 letters long and wouldn't fit. So had to give her a nickname. Was starting to worry. As a side note... 10 letters is the longest for Disney personalization (just got her a sweatshirt) but the MB only go to 9, I think?

I decorated ours in just an hour or so with temporary tattoos and clear nailpolish with glitter. The clear nail polish dries pretty fast! I used a color nailpolish on one of them and that one dried slower, but still would be dry enough to wear in like an hour!

I don't know if either of you have done this, but do check the actual tracking link. Our email said they were shipped parcel post, and MDE says the 15-17. However, the USPS site says they were shipped 2 day, and will arrive tomorrow.

I'll update you all tomorrow.

As promised, here's the update - they did arrive today.

I called about the first set, told the cast member if they didn't arrive by next Wednesday I wouldn't see them until the day before we leave, so he offered to expedite. Hope I'll get the tracking email soon.

I got the shipping notice yesterday, but just checked and they are still in "preshipping" according to the tracking number. I still have over two weeks, so not worried. Actually, I probably would have preferred just picking them up at the resort if that were listed as an option.

Marking the thread so I have access to the phone number in case we need it. I have about a week to wait before I call and check on the status myself. Though if I can't get them till we check in that's ok too.

That's what I went through last week. First phone call I got a cm who cheerfully assured me that I did not need them, and they would be waiting at the resort. Makes me wonder if they are trying to save the cost of postage and that nice box they come in. Next phone call I was on hold for nearly an hour with IT but did get the hold released and now have the bands safely here.

Maybe saves them postage but not the box. The ones at the resorts are in the same boxes

We received our notice 20 days out. Received the email notice that they were shipped on Saturday and they arrived yesterday (Wednesday), so shipping wasn't too long especially given the fact that there was no postal service Tuesday due to Veterans Day.

We received our "shipping" notice 20 days out! I did chat with a CM about five days ago, and he said they were usually not shipping until 14 days out, but ours will be coming earlier than the 14 days.

After reading this whole thread I think I should wait til next week to call when I'm under 20 days, but if anyone would like to share their thoughts I'm listening.

We leave 12/5 and have two separate reservations. One for my Mom and I and one for my sister, brother in law, and their DD9 and DD4.

I've been planning everything and have access to MDE accounts for all of us. The MB order for my Mom and I says: Act quickly! Your order may ship at any moment.

My sisters family says: Your MagicBand order is being personalized. Check back soon for shipping details.

I customized all of them at the same times; and there are no name differences. They all have our first names. Should I be concerned about the different statuses?

Yes- actually MDE says we should have them between the 14th - 16th. The USPS site says the 18th. I'm hoping it's wrong but as of this morning it still just says the package has been picked up.

Our bands arrived today!! Quicker than USPS estimated!

I called about my magic bands at 19 days out. The CM told me he didn't see a problem with them but would put in a notice that I acquired about them. That night I got a email that the problem has been resolved and they are on their way. I'm at 16 days out, hopefully they will be here soon.

I'm coming down to the wire on getting them in time to not have to take the nail polish on the plane and decorate en route. If a cast member told me he was going to expedite it at about 4pm EST yesterday, does anyone have any idea when it will actually ship?

At least I'll have one set decorated, as those have already arrived in New York and will be brought to Thanksgiving.

Just received our first set of Magic bands yesterday (for our November 27th arrival)!!! They were shipped on Nov. 7th.
