23 days, yeah! No Magic Bands...boo!

I watched this thread for a few days, and ALMOST called Disney, however...I got the email on Saturday Nov 8 that our bands had shipped for our Nov 28 arrival date! I've been tracking them, and they are set to arrive today! I hope everyone has a magical time on your trip!!!

Same here..got email Friday night for our 28th arrival. Unfortunately tracking has not updated at all for me on the usps site.

We are at 19 days but we leave in 18 days. At this point I'm almost hoping we get this message - if the bands get shipped at 10 days there's a chance we won't get them in time.

What I was trying to get across was that Disney CMs seem to be making this stuff up as they go along. When you call at 20 days out and say you haven't gotten your bands, they tell you that bands don't come until 10 to 15 days before the trip. If someone else calls at 28 days out, wondering why their bands are still processing, that CM will likely tell them that guests get their bands at three weeks out. It's a moving target and that's just absurd.

I completely agree.
It is evident from the information everyone has posted that there is no set timeframe that they use to process/ship the bands since people arriving the same day may receive their bands weeks apart. I am sure the CMs are just being told to give guests a random date that will placate them and make them feel reassured that their bands will be shipped "soon"

Just got off the phone with Disney. Our bands were indeed on hold for a name discrepancy check! They are supposed to ship Wednesday, which is 17 days out. Cross your fingers for us!

I heard that the recent delay is due to them now issuing & shipping out CM BANDS... What GREAT timing for them to issue CM bands during holiday travel!!

I arrive at Disney on Dec. 8, but my last day to receive mail at my house is Dec. 4 because we have other vacation plans prior to Disney! I need to have time to decorate too, so I hope there aren't any hold-ups with our bands!

We got a notice they were in the mail at 20 days out for our Nov 29th trip. I guess they no longer overnight them because it said to expect them in mail.

Our trip was in April. A couple of weeks out and we still hadn't received our bands, so I called and was told they would be waiting upon arrival, which they were. Funny thing is, they showed up in my mailbox in July,

Mine just went from "shipping soon" back to "being personalized."

This after the CM told me (yesterday) they were being released for shipment.

I'm not getting them until we check in, am I?

No blinging the bands...sigh.

We are set to arrive on 11/16/2014 and I personalized our bands when I made the reservations back in September. I would check the website periodically and it would state that they were shipping soon and that I should hurry to customize them. I spoke to a Disney CM on 11/8 and they said the bands would be shipping that day but after looking in my mailbox yesterday I found that wasn't the case. After 2 phone calls to the CS people at Disney it was found that my bands had not been created, they were not able to give me an answer as to why. I was then told that my bands would be waiting for me at the resort, which to me is unacceptable.

The reason I chose to stay at a Disney resort in the first place was for the bands, I have been reading articles about them since their inception and thought they were so cool and could not wait. Now I find out that my bands will be waiting for me at the resort. This has really upset me a lot, I had plans for decorating the bands and making them glow in the dark and now this is gone. I am sure for some that the bands are not a big deal but this truly was a big deal to me.

In the end I was told that they were going to expedite them to me before we leave on Sunday, but it isn't a for sure thing. >

Seems like they still have some things to work out in the creation process.
Our last customization days were last week. We have two sets of bands because we have a split stay.

I just got the shipping notice for the second set, which is the one we need before Thanksgiving (family get together from both sides of the country - we're decorating the bands over Thanksgiving). The first stay, for which the status is shipping soon, starts in 25 days.

I would call them. We just got ours and we arrive 4 days before you. Wishing you some luck!

The USPS must be walking our bands to us. Our tracking says they were picked up today in Tennessee but won't make it here to North Carolina until NEXT Tuesday! Oh well, I'm just glad they are on the way!

It seems like they are shipping around 18-20 days out right now, but some people have found they have a "hold" on their band order for various reasons (i.e. names don't match), so I'd call and just make sure you don't have a hold and then if they haven't shipped by 18 days out, I'd call again!
