2018 Resort Reservations

You can always book 499 days in advance you just have to call. Currently that would cover until 7/29/18.

2018 rates will be released this summer sometime. When they are, the on-line tool will be updated to book within the 499 day window.

I think next year's rates/seasons and online booking are usually released some time in June, although there may have been a recent year that was a little later. I remember once a few years back when room-only rates came out but it took a while for package rates/booking to follow.

If we call and make our booking for January 2018 and only put a deposit down, will we still get the current room rate (should they go up in price) for our entire stay? Or will we be re-priced is the room rates go up?

If you book before the 2018 rates are released, you will be booked at the highest rate for 2017 for that resort/room type. Once the 2018 rates come out, your reservation will automatically be adjusted to reflect the new rates (whether you pay just the deposit or pay in full at time of booking).

Yup. That's what we did. Booked the GF for a week at current rates and hoping the military discount rates come out at 40% off in the fall. Otherwise, Ouch!

Hmm, I just booked by phone directly with Disney for January 2018, and the rate is definitely not the highest for the room type/resort compared to 2017.

I think they already have rates for (some of?) 2018 - they just have not loaded them online. At least that's what the CM said...
