2017 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival: August 31, 2017 - November 13, 2017

Has anyone been able to update guests on their F&W reservations? I booked my demos & seminars over the phone, and they didn't ask for the name of the second guest. All my reservations are showing up in MDE, but when I try to update guests I get an error message. Not a huge deal, but would be nice if we could both see it in our MDEs instead of just me.

if you are booking PFTS, you need to CALL for reserved seating or wine view. Online can only book guaranteed seating. (Guaranteed - seats at a group table with other parties, we don't know how they assign because this is the first year for it - reserved, a reserved table for your own party, Wine View Lounge the special seating and a few perks that the other categories don't get.)

I linked all my F and W some show up others do not. So I copy and pasted everything, made a copy and will take that with me.

So according top the person I just spoke with everything has been loaded and there are only 30 seats for traders sames - I was not able to get 1

was anyone able to book a seat for TS today?

I've talked to 5 different supervisors between Tuesday and today. All supervisors Tuesday showed 30 slots booked Tuesday. They pulled the list showing when each reservation was booked, not just looking at open slots. Not sure how people booked 9/27 today. Cast members are still telling me the event only seats 30. Really hoping they open more slots...

That would be pretty mean (and unprecedented) if they let them book all of the spots before general booking. They usually hold about 10% of the seats for AP/DVC/Golden Oak and the rest opens on general booking day.

I still see it online but without a time to select

Where do you see the Flying Fish Signature Dinner online? I couldn't find it and no other signature dinners are online. I see the Chefs Table, but that is not the signature dinner.

From the thread, sounds as if some events are still not loaded.

I booked for the 9/27 TS today. I have a reservation number, was charged and it is showing up in my MDE. 2 seats-for my husband and I. Booked at 10:54am (just checked last call to WDW-FEST.)

This is how mine were last year and this year. Never ended up updating guests and it didn't cause any problems. My name and # of guests was all that seemed to be needed.

I believe at least one pp reported booking it a couple of pages back.

Agree but they pulled the list of bookings on Tuesday and the guy counted off 30 for the date I'm after. That would suggest they didn't add any more today but people have been able to book! I don't know what's going on.

enjoy it is a really good event - I tried any of the dates and was told no seats - sounds like you got in at just the right time

Full capacity at Sam's is only about 50 and they are likely seating below that. 30 sounds correct but they should not have sold all seats to prebookers. My guess is they didn't since some were able to book today.

What a cluster duck today! And Tuesday honestly. They told me full Tuesday too and I got right in. I don't think they were entering my AP #.

I'm hoping that's the case (that it's not loaded) and keep refreshing. I went in through the dining portal, searched for 10/26 at 6pm and it comes up in the list of unavailable restaurants as "Chef's Tasting Wine Dinner at the Flying Fish". When you click through, it shows 10/26 selected but no times available to pick from the drop-down. Now that I read the description, perhaps that *is* the chef's table after all? I've found signature dinners in past years using this method, so when I saw that, just assumed it was the F&W version.

Talking to another supervisor in guest services right now. She checked the bookings for my date and said all 30 slots were filled Tuesday. Either I'm getting a lot of bad information or they didn't save slots for the 9/13 event for regular guests to book today.

Yeah - there are very few seats - I had seen it listed as 45 at one site, most others say 51. The 51 seems correct.

Sounds like there should be a few more than 30 to me - as I mentioned earlier they only blocked off the surfboard seating last year, but maybe there are a couple of high tops they remove as well so everyone can see - but that does not sound like Disney to me - if the can fit a few more in they would

You could have gotten bad info on Tue, when a CM wasn't able to book you then...? Not uncommon (sadly) for them to say it's sold out -- all spots filled -- on early booking day, even though it's only the early booking slots that have been filled. At least one pp WAS able to book a TS event today... suspect that wouldn't have been available if ALL slots really had been made available on Tue.

The Chefs Tasting Wine Dinner at Flying Fish is not the same as the Food & Wine Signature Dinner. Chefs Tasting is something the restaurant does on a regular basis. I've done it a few times (before the refurb, I may have to do one soon)

I don't know if I have ever been able to book the Food and Wine Signature dinners online. If you can book them online, it's likely the restaurant's own dinner and not the Food & Wine event. Food & Wine signatures are only available by calling. If you book that chefs tasting online, you will get something different from the signature dinner. I'm guessing that if you want the Food & Wine event you have to call to book it.

Guys remember when the tastings (Sushi, Sake, Sashimi, scotch tasting at UK, Coral Reef, etc.) were $35pp? The Deminars were FREE? There was a FREE beer tasting (UK and near AA at one point?) PFTS was $75pp? They had the Spirited Ball at AA? That would be $300pp today. :ssst:

That's what I figured, but my OCD is causing it to really bother me. I guess I'll just have to learn to live with it.
