A good idea no matter what. FWIW I was waiting at the finish line, in full view of all the finishers, and I still missed my son crossing the finish line for the 5K at Star Wars last weekend. Let alone being in the mash along Main Street hoping to see one person in the crowd!

Well that stinks that you missed him, but I can totally understand why. I plan on buying the memory maker, so I will probably rely on it for pictures anyway. You're so right, she tends to be directionally challenged so I am afraid her attempting to get from the hotel, to Epcot, to the monorail, to the Magic Kingdom and then again in reverse will probably be too much. I am normally the one who gets us where we need to be and she just follows along. I am also sure with the hundreds of thousands of princesses it will be pretty hard to spot me anyway.

I found out the bus hours the hard way....and missed the bus by a half hour to get to magic kingdom on Marathon day. Had to go to Animal Kingdom to see my boyfriend instead. The rest of my group at Magic Kingdom had no idea where I was and I felt so bad! I should've checked the night before but I was so upset about the half getting cancelled.

So I was telling my mom my mistakes and how to see me at the finish line for princess.. and she's like.. "I know how to ride a bus...I can get there without instructions..." ooook then.... Something tells me I won't be seeing her at the finish line though...

Yeah, when we wanted to see my BFF during the Princess half we tried to get on the very last bus at about 10 to 5 and they'd cut the buses by then. We ended up splitter a cab with a few other people from Wilderness Lodge to Magic Kingdom - thankfully the road we needed to use hadn't closed yet.

Well, now that I know my knee can work as needed bc of Star Wars, it's back to salvaging the training plan.

Alas I got new shoes yesterday, with more to them than I like (Nike Free is generally as much shoe as i can deal with; I'm a minimal shoe person at heart), hoping they would be good as my knee improves. Nope. They are like little prison cages on my feet. And I thought "fresh foam" would feel cushiony but they felt like planks of wood.

Gotta order some shoes. None of the stores around me carry NB Minimus in stock which means ordering a bunch then returning what doesn't work. I do not love doing that!

There are reasons I never insist on my loved ones spectating at events! I get too anxious about if they know what they are doing etc.

I actually did that one time - thought I was getting on an expo bus and it was a DME bus! I just ran right by the bus driver because I was in a hurry! Luckily they stopped at another resort and I'd figured out what had happened and that I needed to switch buses

Sorry if this has been asked before but if I'm staying at Pop Century what time is the latest I should aim to get a bus? Is it 4am? Worried about waking up so early! Doing 3 races the last 3 days of my holiday was probably a bad idea

The race guide will have more details but the buses will be running between 3 and 4AM for the 10K and half, and 3:30 and 4:30AM (I think) for the 5K.
