So with disney taking servers down for maintenance, is it sat night/sun morn or sun night/mon morn? Someone had posted that they are usually down from 330/4 to 5 am? How can you book online if it opens at 430 if the site isnt up?

Sorry if this has already been posted, I don't have time to read through but wanted to post what I found. Air Canada Vacations is showing free dining details with booking beginning April 25th. Looks like the dates and details match what the SA site has been posting.

You can find details by going to the site (http://vacations.aircanada.com/catalog/maywesuggest.do?promotion=14419&sortedBy=Name), clicking your hotel and going to the promotions tab. It looks like it only shows exclusions for resorts of the same level (ie. value exclusions when viewing the details of another value) so make sure you are looking at the correct room level.

Not sure if this got posted but from the above link checking Riverside it shows the promotion....

Any advice on the best way to book two rooms as soon as fd goes live?

You'll have to book them separately, so don't waste time trying to book 2 at once online. You'll just have to book one and then the other, unless someone can be on a diff computer and book a second room at the same time.

You can't. The site would have to be up, but it's never an exact time that it's down/back up.

Oh wow . . . my brain must really be fried this Friday afternoon because I'm still not following. If FD drops early Monday morning and I can't modify online because the button is not there, what other choice do I have but to wait for the phone lines to open?

Are you on a computer? On my iPad When I use my Disney experience app the change reservation is not there. I go to Disney world.com and log in through there app free and it's there. Maybe that will help.

You can book a whole new reservation on line then cancel your old one.

@lacy1101 We're expecting free dining to open to the general public on Monday morning, which means you DON'T have to have a Disney Visa and you DON'T have to book over the phone. When we thought it was going to drop early for Disney Visa holders, we were expecting to have to call in to book it because it wouldn't be available online.

From someone that works night shift Disney does go down for bookings early in the mornings. You can still look at things on the website but you will get the message that booking is unavailable at this time when you try to price things out.

Exactly. Last year I was only able to make 1 room a free dining and not my parents. So the next time I tried, I had my laptop and iPad both going and clicking almost at the exact time. It worked.

You may want to crunch the numbers first before you cancel the BB reservation you made last year. You will be charged the new ticket prices. We have 5 day ph from the FD BB we booked last year and the price increase is $32 per person, approximately.

Yes, we wanted to add the extra day (that we were unable to) before the ticket prices went up. But if the FD dates are correct, we'll be able to get FD for 14 days instead of 7 days, so it will be worth the $150 increase in ticket prices to get FD for an extra week.

I mean, for whatever reason, if the button is missing or MDE is acting glitchy and you can't modify, I wouldn't want to chance losing my room by waiting for the phone lines to open to modify. Again, that's just me.

I think what you're saying is if, today, I go to change my resort online to CSR and the button is not there, then I should call today day to change my resort instead of waiting for the phone lines to open Monday morning if free dining drops. And I right?

I don't think there's a consistent release time. It's always just whenever they load it, but I think midnight is a little overzealous. Disney Visa exclusives can't be booked online.
