A side note. I was on southwest 2 days ago and there were some good rates on the day I plan to come home (if I get my dates) so I booked. Today I checked ant they were up 30 a ticket. Do they follow these boards?!?!

Our flights went up $62 per person overnight. Combine that with no FD for October and I just want to

Our SW flights were creeping up, so we switched to Tampa airport and booked right away. Our incoming flight has gone up by about $30 now, too.

Any advice on the best way to book two rooms as soon as fd goes live?
I booked the night before last year so all I would have to do is modify them. It took less than 2 minutes each. I was afraid it would take too long to book the first one and the other one would be gone?

The thing is that if your modify button works then you can change your resort when free dining opens. There is no reason to do it ahead of time.

I just looked at my keyboard and I don't have a "modify" button. What kind of computers are you guys using? Do all new computers come with "modify" buttons? Should I go buy a new computer with the money I hope to save with FD?

Ba Dum Bum! Kshhhh!!!

You can't apply two discounts to different portions of your stay. You'd have to break it up into two separate reservation, unless you just mean that the RO dates don't cover your whole stay? If that's the case it'll just auto apply it to the dates offered and rack rate for the dates not offered.

If you modify your reservation it will bump you to the new rates, yes. You're locked into that pricing for the trip you've booked - but changing it to add a discount voids your price hold.
Thanks for the reply. We booked a non discounted package last year before the ticket and meal plan prices increased. I guess I will have to figure out if a room discount would be worth the increase in DP and park ticket increases.

ive debated doing this but with everyone saying its just as hard to modify as it is to book a new one bc what you selected may or may not be included and all that im so confused as to what would be best

Question, not sure what to do. We have a disney vacation booked through a TA. They will be trying to add free dining to our reservation on monday and to their other clients.

Does anyone know if TA s have access to edit our vacation when it goes live or do they need to call at 7.

Should I even think of booking a new on my own?

...my name is Seasonality, and I'm addicted to this thread.

This board is slowly (err quickly) taking over my life. My Fitbit steps are severely lacking. :P

NOW..... I ONLY want to do things that relate to WDW planning! Keeping up with this thread, checking out the other sub-forums, reading online blogs, doing my Perk or Swagbucks (to earn $ for WDW) texting my BFF about WDW, watching DIS podcasts, jotting notes in my WDW 2016 notebook like "don't forget to.....", watching a Disney planning dvd for the 100th time.... It's like this trip is a baby on the way and our departure day is my "due date"!!!! This is crazy!! It's not like it's my 1st trip, for goodness sakes!!

My response to each of you is the same thing so I thought I'd just say it once: OMG, ME TOOOOOOO!!!

After the talk of less-enthusiastic spouses a few days ago, I thought you guys would enjoy this.

I was just talking to my fiance about the possible release in the wee hours of the morning Monday and commented that I'm going to set an alarm for every two hours. His response was,
"How about we do it in shifts?"

My face was like,, because even though he very much appreciates my Disney obsession, he is not in any way at the level of getting up in the middle of the night to check for FD. With a perfectly straight face he says, "You take the night shift and book free dining, and I'll take the sleeping shift and sleep for 8 hours." That sounds more like it. :rotfl2:

Bring on the sleep anxiety! :surfweb:

That's hilarious!
