2016 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival: September 14 - November 14, 2016

For the tasting sampler coupons can you use one between two people? Like if you purchased one 8 or 16 entitlement package can two people share it?

EDIT: Also is there a list of what items are excluded from the sampler coupons?
No issue sharing - I did not even carry around the credentials - just give them the coupon.

someone messaged me an announcement that The Chew tapings at Epcot on Thursday 10/6 have been cancelled. They are rescheduling one today at 3:15 and there will be a second at 5:45 today. Wednesday's tapings are still 9:40 and 1:40 with an additional show at 5:15.

i wonder if it's because of the hurricane

From The Chew website:

THE CHEW AT EPCOT FOOD AND WINE CANCELED 10/6 & 10/7

WEATHER UPDATE!

Due to inclement weather all shows on Thursday 10/6 & Friday 10/7 have been cancelled. All ticket holders please refer to our updates via email. Sorry for any inconvenience.

yep, hurricane. right now they are looking at about a 50% possibility of tropical storm force winds in Orlando Thursday night into Friday. It's still a couple days off, too, so that could change.

I just cancelled our Trader Sam's reservations for tomorrow and our French Family Traditions lunch reservations for Friday. They did refund my money due to the storm. We live in South Florida and we are preparing for Hurricane Matthew. I have two college age sons who live at home and two cats and a dog. I can't leave them home to deal with the hurricane by themselves.
My husband and I are going to try to reschedule a trip to WDW later this month or early in Nov. I am sad that we will not be having the week at Disney that I planned.

I have PFTS booked for Saturday. Still debating. If the airlines start cancelling the decision is made. Hopefully Disney will do a refund :(

Have you seen this article on the DIS about cancellation policies? Says the cancellation policies don't apply to special dining events. But if your airline cancels and you can't get there even if you wanted to, I would hope they'd be reasonable.

If you call them and say you cannot attend due to Hurricane Matthew they will probably refund you.

Unless it gets cancelled entirely I'm still going, and if it gets cancelled entirely there will be refunds.

We are coming in next week and were supposed to be joined by another couple. There is a slight chance now the other couple may have to cancel their trip and when we booked the wine pairing luncheon at Tutto we did so for a party of 4. If they do cancel the trip, will there be an issue with only 2 of us showing up? I would think, no, since it is already ppd but just want to be sure. We have two other ADR's scheduled for a party of 4, not F&W related and while I know there won't be an issue downsizing to a party of 2 on one of them, the other may be more challenging.

Well, since it's prepaid and not refundable, there won't be an issue with the two who show up going to the lunch, but there won't be a refund for the two who don't show up.

Unless you call WDW and offer some excuse for their being unable to come, and that won't mean that you will definitely get a refund.

On a regular reservation, if it's not a prepaid one, don't worry if you can't change it, just show up without them. There's a penalty on those only if the entire party doesn't show up.

That's what I figured but wanted to be sure.

Not sure our friends would even try to get their money refunded as their minds are elsewhere right now...the husband's sister is dying of cancer and it doesn't sound like it will be long, sadly.

Went to the PFTS this past Saturday.

Most of the food was very good. One station not so much. It seems there was more wines this year than than last.

Had a DJ for music. Music volume was reasonable (The Burger Party the previous night had a band that played way way too loud.)

But, the more important thing about the PFTS this year is it finishes at 9:30 PM (not 10pm). We used to be able to leave the PFTS right as Illumination starts. Not this year.

I went to the Disney web site and it states 7 to 9:30, but didn't notice it beforehand.

Ed, do they still have reserved seating for PFTS guests at Illuminations? Do those people leave earlier? Just wondering. TIA

so they replaced cirque de soleil with a dj? :(

There never was any Illuminations "seating" for PFTS, there was admission to a roped off area, but it was standing, there weren't any chairs.

9:30 would be enough time to get there if Illuminations is at 10. Depending on where it is (if they still do it)

Sounds as though they will chivvy everybody out a half hour before Illuminations. Yes you used to be able to wait until after it had started.

For anyone going to the Jack Daniels event today, can you tell me if they are allowing bottles of Jack to be bought and signed by Jeff Arnett? Figure they won't but it'd be awesome if they did.

Yes he did signed bottles and he is super nice DH and him had a 45 min conversation.

I'm sorry to hear that :(
If its under ya name you can call and explain the situation i've heard of them doing refunds in such situations for extenuating circumstances.

Here in the World now and at this point Disney is remaining open. There are warnings for hurricane strength winds and showers. All "Supposed" to be passed us late Friday. Of course anything can happen so we are praying for the best and for the whole east coast.
