I was wondering if anyone has tried requesting KTTW cards when checking in at the GF in addition to their MB. After reading some of the other threads I am considering requesting them as a back up for our upcoming visit. From what I have gathered it looks like it depends on the hotel or maybe the CM whether or not they will give them to you at the check in. Some other posters also reported that they were given a hard time when making their request. So if you have asked for the KTTW cards, were you granted your request and did the CM ask you to surrender your MB?

Another coffee question....the main building has Keurigs....the others have??? Is it the Cuisinart ones? I know it was asked already, and I apologize for asking again, but I can't seem to find it. Thank you!!!

I can't help as my last GF stay was in RPC, but hopefully someone else will be able to answer :flower3:.

Morning....lovely day here..:)....just wish I was still in WDW! ;)

Mickeynut...right there with ya on the "need" for that morning coffee!! ::yes::

:thumbsup2 on wishing I was in WDW, too, along with the need for coffee :goodvibes.

It is a dream of mine to someday take an adults only trip to WDW. Being all girls makes it even sweeter :cloud9: Even DH who, in general, is a bit of a bah humbug until he actually gets on vacation (he hates the whole planning part which is why I do ALL of it and ask him as little as possible during that process) has dreams of going on a trip to WDW during F&W with just the two of us staying in the Epcot area.

I hope you are able to take an adults only trip sometimes as they are great. I've never taken one with just my DH, but have been on a couple of girls trips and while it was hard going without my family, I had a lot of fun ::yes::.

I totally missed this post, sorry. Definitely the IPO can and will do all this :thumbsup2 It was the one time I didn't bug my TA :rolleyes1 I would definitely recommend sending the IPO an email over having your TA call the main reservations center. The GF did a few sweet things for my birthday it was really nice (we were in Sugarloaf). :cloud9:

Thanks for this info, pas :goodvibes. I was thinking a guest could email IPO even if they booked with a TA, but since I've never used a TA I wasn't sure.

:wave2: Good morning everyone! I hope you all enjoyed the weekend.

Good question as I'd like to know this as well :). I am sad that they are doing away with the KTTW cards as I have always kept mine from every trip.

My fav GF products are the Mint Foot Cream, so nice after being on your feet all day at the parks. And those chocolates, yum. I had a bag full to bring home :goodvibes.

I thought the toothbrush/toothpaste we got at AKL CL was a nice touch, but I never hear people mentioning it.

This was my first trip using a TA, when I was CL at least :rotfl:

They all used to have the cuisinarts...I think they were changing over to keurigs all around...but I am really not sure....sorry...:confused3

Morning....lovely day here..:)....just wish I was still in WDW! ;)

Blue, we really enjoyed visiting the Cape. The new Atlantis exhibit leaves one in awe! The size of that shuttle...:faint: Lots of interesting stuff for those interested in space, as my hubby is. !

I am always wishing the same thing! :thumbsup2 CC sounds amazing...maybe we will have to take a side trip one of these days???

Blue I TOTALLY plan to hoard as much Mint Foot Creme as possible for my stash at home. I will even go as far as adding notes to the Mousekeeping daily tip envelopes saying I would love extras. No shame in that....right???:lmao: I have a plastic "stash" bin in my bathroom for hotel toiletries. When I need to feel "on vacation", I pull out the bin and scan the items to get just the right memory scent. AAhhhhh...... My favorite of all time was the Lather products from Loews in the Bamboo Creme scent. The scent is just intoxicating for me. I think housekeeping at PBH one year caught on to my obsession and left me tons on our last few days. Good thing I found an extra plastic bag in the room to bring it home because I was NOT leaving those goodies behind ;)

I agree...nothing wrong with asking for a few extra of your faves! :thumbsup2 I am not familiar with the Lather products from the Loews resorts...but now I am curious...lol....

Your bin sounds like a great idea...I keep mine in a Disney bag in a drawer..:upsidedow I need the whole visual..the bag..the toiletries...lol..

You absolutely can get a card at check in ..it will reflect the same info as your MB..or should I say whatever is linked in your MDE account....We have not had a problem getting any at all....:thumbsup2

Awesome Thanks! Gotta have my coffee! :coffee:

I cannot start my day without a cup or two or three :upsidedow....another nice idea for morning coffee is ordering it from room service (its pretty good too)..aka private dining..lol... we have done this and added a fruit plate..or pastries (breakfast of champions!! lol..) ..Nice to do on vacation...

We're staying at the GF in September. Can't wait! This is the first time we've used a Travel Agent. Does my TA have to call for room requests and to note my son's birthday on the reservation? Can I call IPO myself for those things? I've always booked our trips myself in the past and done everything myself.

Anything that you want noted on your resort reservation (which would be thru CRO) would have to be done thru your TA..I would strongly recommend that having rooms requests and special celebrations listed on that...As for IPO...it matters not where you booked your ressie thru..this is a service offered to CL guests...they generally contact you with in a certain time after your ressie is made..or you can contact them directly..via email or telephone.... to make dining..reserve cabanas etc..you can also advise them of any particular request that you have...:thumbsup2

so...my long winded answer..yes!!! :rotfl:

abk Your trip will be here soon too!!! :cheer2:

MickeyNut I am a collector of KTTW cards too...:crowded:  Should that action be listed in the "10 signs that you are addicted to Disney"!!??..lol....Currently adding MBs to that list....:p Actually I would like to not get any more MBs...but I don't know how to opt out of getting them???

Hope that everyone is having a magical Monday...princess:

I thought the toothbrush/toothpaste we got at AKL CL was a nice touch, but I never hear people mentioning it.

This was a CL amenity at the CR too...but I have only seen them offered at the GF in suites??? :confused3

Hi pas!! :flower3:

Meant to add this in my previous post..shout out to MommyGina..Thinking of you!

have a magical trip and post pics of new SL lounge & offerings :goodvibes lol.
I will try to take lots of pictures! We have 8 nights so lots of opportunities to take them! We are so excited!

Hmmm...I kind of told my husband he could get a KTTW card if he wanted to switch from the Magicband. I hope he still can because I give him maybe 4 hours with that band on his arm and he's going to want a card.:rolleyes2

I'm glad to hear that about the KTTW card. I'm getting things together and have some stuff already packed. Can you tell I can't wait? :)

And you can add me to the list of KTTW card collectors. I still have ours from our first trip on our honeymoon back in '96.:lovestruc

Interesting to know you can still ask for these. DH would have preferred them to the MBs.

Grace&Carolinesmom, I did not detect any spicy notes to the shrimp....I would not have liked the dish if there had been any. But rich....wooey! Very!!

KTTW cards, great reminders of a great trip. I've got a few, cool to see how they change too. Maybe it'll all be wristbands some day!

We just bought into VGF, excited to get to know the Grand and all its is and outs. This forum has a lot to get us started!

KKTW is one abbreviation I do not know! What is it?

Thanks blue skies ... I was also wondering if we could request KTTK cards along with our bands. I'm iffy if my husband would like the bands and also I have quite he collection of cards from previous stays

Yes, I think it does qualify :rotfl::rotfl:.

It won't be long :yay:. Can't wait to hear all about your stay when you return :goodvibes.

It won't be long before you're on your way :cool1::cool1:.

What a nice souvenir from your honeymoon :goodvibes.

My DH and both DSs would prefer the cards too. We are planning to go back next July and I'm already gearing up for the complaints of how the bands are annoying in that July heat and humidity :rolleyes1. Hopefully the cards will still be available next year as I'm sure I will be prompted to request them .

Congrats on your VGF points purchase :thumbsup2. I'm sure you will have many amazing trips to the Grand :wizard:.

I've never seen this and I stayed once at AKL CL! Also have never seen the solar gel you guys have been mentioning. :confused3 I feel so left out!! :rotfl2:

I'm glad we are not the only ones who are not crazy about the MB. My 15 yo dd is refusing to wear them because they are "just not cool" she refused to come with us to the Neon Trees concert tonight at the Central Park because she can not be seen with all of us , so the bands are definitely going to he an issue. And don't even get me started about my dh. I'm. more concern with them working properly than anything else.

Edit: I'm still grateful that our 11 yo still enjoys our company :)

I was wary about them too- I never wear a watch or bracelets- but no one in our party of 9 complained about them! It's funny how once you're in WDW you just don't even think about it- it just becomes part of your 'wardrobe' every day. My kids would swim and shower with them on. None of us ever had any problems with them and by the end of the trip we all decided they were pretty awesome :)

Hi, ahcupcake:wave2:...always good to see you posting here! I'm also looking for your next vacation ticker to appear..

I forget who asked but the shrimp and grits were on the dinner menu. They would be waaaay too rich for a breakfast entree in my opinion!!
The Shrimp & Grit question was me :goodvibes. Was wondering, cause grits to me is breakfast!

I thought the toothbrush/toothpaste we got at AKL CL was a nice touch, but I never hear people mentioning it.
Yes, it was. I really liked the mouthwash too. I think I still have the toothbrush somewhere! If it survived my reno clean out :faint:

Another coffee question....the main building has Keurigs....the others have??? Is it the Cuisinart ones? I know it was asked already, and I apologize for asking again, but I can't seem to find it. Thank you!!!
We were in Boca last year, had Cusinart machine. Wondering if SL has the Keurig?

:goodvibes great! Looking forward to the pics!!

Thanks so much for the info:flower3: I am considering getting a few items and will definitely go check out the Kohl's website. Hate going to the store if at all possible....too many distrations to catch the eye of my wallet....:rotfl2:

Grannyminnie I love shrimp and grits but usually prefer the dish to have the shrimp on the spicy side. Did the shrimp have any KICK or was the dish just kinda rich??

I am also hoping to hear some first hand reports of the boat/bus transportation schedules during the decreased monorail hours. If nothing concrete is related, I will ask when we check in on the 23rd. :thumbsup2

I'd be interested in the new. Boat/bus sched too :upsidedow
My last stay at Lowes HRH I didn't get bamboo scent stuff :sad2: this time we will be at Portofino so maybe there? Or maybe each hotel has their own scent products :confused3
