Thanks so much for the info:flower3: I am considering getting a few items and will definitely go check out the Kohl's website. Hate going to the store if at all possible....too many distrations to catch the eye of my wallet....:rotfl2:

Just wanted to say I am so jealous! It is a dream of mine to someday take an adults only trip to WDW. Being all girls makes it even sweeter :cloud9: Even DH who, in general, is a bit of a bah humbug until he actually gets on vacation (he hates the whole planning part which is why I do ALL of it and ask him as little as possible during that process) has dreams of going on a trip to WDW during F&W with just the two of us staying in the Epcot area.

I can so relate to staying away from the stores. I ended up going back to the outlets on Saturday and hit the Vera Bradley outlet before leaving and well, let's just say, I"m officially shut off :rolleyes1

As for an adults only trip... All I can say is if you ever get the opportunity, do it!!

DH & I took our first solo F&W trip last October and we had a blast! We stayed at the BC and must admit it was so nice to be able to stroll in & out as we pleased. The only thing we did in advance was book a couple of dinner ADR's. If we got up and felt like hitting a park, we did, if not, we slept in and hit the pool. Both DD's tried their best to make us feel guilty from the moment we booked the trip (bothered me more than DH) but all that quickly passed once we landed. We had such a great time that we are doing it again this October and staying at the YC :).

I'm really hoping for a change of attitude from my dd once we get to Disney.

Disney Miracles do happen! Really, everyone has MBs in WDW so after the first day when DH said he was going to keep his in his pocket, he wore (his lame gray one) the whole time! I said nothing!

Fast forward to me telling him I was going to decorate mine and DD's for our upcoming trip.

"What kind of decorations?" he asked looking interested.

Too funny....:rotfl: Next thing ya know, he might be wearing Mickey ears!! :lmao:

Sue, re: the grits at the GF Cafe....in my opinion, they didn't put enough on the plate! The creaminess of them with the sauce...WOW! All the ingredients worked together to make a wonderful dish! :thumbsup2

Hi Blue and friends! Still keeping up-to-date on the GF. Hope all who are going soon have a GRAND time! I'm dreaming of next year all ready.

Have a good day.

It looks like I was removed from the WL trip log despite the fact I said I do not know for certain where we are staying yet.:confused3

Sigh.

Was I by any chance added to the GF log? I know this all sounds silly but I am starting to get annoyed!

That is very funny!

Good morning all. I have been an old poster here back in the days. I needed my Disney and GF fix and decided to join in.:goodvibes

Hi Blue, Mickeynut, Ahcupcake!!:wave2:

Magical

I'm glad we are not the only ones who are not crazy about the MB. My 15 yo dd is refusing to wear them because they are "just not cool" she refused to come with us to the Neon Trees concert tonight at the Central Park because she can not be seen with all of us , so the bands are definitely going to he an issue. And don't even get me started about my dh. I'm. more concern with them working properly than anything else.

Edit: I'm still grateful that our 11 yo still enjoys our company :)

No worries! It is just a phase. :grouphug: My oldest DD went thru that phase and came out on the other side to admit it! She was a little younger--around 13 when she was in that phase. She will be 16 next week :faint: and is over the moon excited about our trip this time. She has a count down on her phone and mentions it daily. She shakes her head now remembering how she thought we were all "uncool" and that Disney was stupid. I think she has had more real world experience around other adults and realizes how lucky she has it in our "uncool" family :rotfl:

I'd be interested in the new. Boat/bus sched too :upsidedow
My last stay at Lowes HRH I didn't get bamboo scent stuff :sad2: this time we will be at Portofino so maybe there? Or maybe each hotel has their own scent products :confused3

I have only stayed at PBH so I cannot comment on the HRH product line. I think Loews changed their toiletry line though as I remember seeing some pics on tripadvisor??? a few months ago and they were not the same products :sad2: I am glad I was introduced to them because now I have their website on my favorites list and I have ordered some of their products for myself and as gifts. :thumbsup2

Shopping.....Oh the aching from my bank accounts.....:scared1: And the poor people at Zappos are dealing with me right now. I am furiously trying to find the right fit teva sandals and athletic shoes for the trip. I have what I believe to be tendonitis in my left foot that is quite annoying and painful. I am going to my podiatrist tomorrow for a real diagnosis and hopefully advice and some relief. I CANNOT have this ruin my vacay in two weeks! I am so stir crazy right now because I have been resting my foot when I REALLY want to work out and get some exercise! (sounds crazy, right?)

Your adult trip sounds awesome! We too would stay at BC/YC for an adult trip (or BW if I could get past that clown slide). Would be so relaxing to walk in and out of IG to stroll the F&W Festival offerings. We had a taste of it a few years ago when we took a trip for MNSSHP in October and loved perusing the food and beverage booths. Someday DH and I will have our adult trip......but not for some years. My younger DD is in the autism spectrum and has other issues that result in her being mentally/developmentally much younger than her physical age. She is an absolute joy in our life and I think she would be devastated if we went to WDW without her. We count our blessings and take life one day at a time without expectations......except for the planning of WDW vacations :rotfl:

Also have never seen the solar gel you guys have been mentioning. :confused3 I feel so left out!! :rotfl2:

I've never seen the solar get either, so I'll feel left out with you :rotfl::rotfl:.

I was wary about them too- I never wear a watch or bracelets- but no one in our party of 9 complained about them! It's funny how once you're in WDW you just don't even think about it- it just becomes part of your 'wardrobe' every day. My kids would swim and shower with them on. None of us ever had any problems with them and by the end of the trip we all decided they were pretty awesome :)

Glad to hear the MBs aren't all that bad to wear ;).

I'm really hoping for a change of attitude from my dd once we get to Disney.

I'm sure once she gets to Disney she won't even know she's wearing it :).

Thought of you all while using one of my stashed shower gels a bit ago!:)

:goodvibes

Hi Magical

Good to "see" you again. Hope things are going well with you :flower3:.

This coming December, 2 nights AKV,(our home) Jambo and 2 nights VGF..CANNOT WAIT!:thumbsup2

First "childless" trip to WDW as youngest DS will be tucked away at college.
First time ever seeing WDW during the HOLIDAY TIME!:santa:

Just booked the Candlelight Processional Dinner Package and now really getting EXCITED!:yay:

Friends have talked about going to F&W in October...they go "childless" and apparently have a blast!

What in your opinion makes the F&W very SPECIAL? I gather that there are different food offerings that are not offered any other time of year?

Wow, October is a beautiful month to be at WDW! Maybe '15! Never too early to start "thinking"! Love the planning!:cool1:

:thumbsup2 I hear that, I would love if DH said yeas honey let's do 2 GF rooms this trip...it'll never happen:rolleyes1

Edit: I'm still grateful that our 11 yo still enjoys our company :)
The last trip my oldest came with us when he was 17..he was too cool for everything, but once we got there he was my kid again. Hoping Disney counteracts the too coolness!!

I am a little concerned my DS5 who has ASD will wear his MB, but it's good to know that there is an alternative just in case, or perhaps I can wear his???

I'd be interested in the new. Boat/bus sched too :upsidedow

HRH isn't a Loews hotel, so they have a different brand than PBH and RPR..you'll get the good stuff at PBH girlfriend :goodvibes

And Disney released the summer VB stuff online now...:snooty: I was told no more purses :headache:

 Morning!!!

And Morning to all the Grand Groupies :grouphug:

Maybe you could allow her to decorate it in her own way? I got a pink one for my trip back in January and I painted it with pink glitter nail polish. The whole thing was coated and it honestly looked more like a bracelet. I got a ton of compliments from guests and CMs! She might feel a little cooler if she can make it her own. Just don't paint over the Mickey head! Otherwise it works fine (I even called IT to be 100% sure)

There's no trip log for the GF.

Oh ok thanks - I don't know why I thought there was!

Just realized I didn't finish looking through the pics - just saw the ones of Gaspies and the pool! Exciting :)

You are going to love Disney in December. All of the resorts are very nicely decorated, as are the parks :santa:. Everything is so festive and there is so much going on. October is also a nice time to go. I hope a 2015 F&W trip works out for you :goodvibes.

:thumbsup2 I hear that, I would love if DH said yeas honey let's do 2 GF rooms this trip...it'll never happen:rolleyes1

Our boys are 19 & 21 and while 1 room is plenty of space for the 4 of us, I have thought more than once of getting 2 rooms, just for extra space :rolleyes1. But it hasn't gone past that thought since I want to continue staying at a monorail resort :rotfl::rotfl:......the cost of 2 rooms at the GF or Poly (along with everything else) is :scared1: :faint:.

Maybe you could allow her to decorate it in her own way? I got a pink one for my trip back in January and I painted it with pink glitter nail polish. You sound very creative :goodvibes.

You're welcome ;).

I love the new Gaspies since they took out the arcade games :).
