For those who are staying at the GF the first couple of weekends in December, how long ago did you book your rooms? We're looking to do an early December Christmas at the GF in 2017 and just want to know how far out I should be booking. Thanks!

Our trip is Dec 3rd to 7th, 2016 and it was booked around August 3rd.

Never thought we'd get a chance to stay here, but JetBlue is having a two day sale through February, so we decided to take a weekend trip. Much to my surprise, there was availability in a standard view studio for three of the four night we needed, so I booked it and waitlisted the last day. So I have a lot of catching up to do.

Well, since we have had the opportunity to do the GF, Wilderness we are now moving on to the Contemporary.

Here I thought our year of celebrating our 25th was over.................................not.

DH just came home from work and surprised me with booking the Contemporary in the rooms that are in the building that the monorail goes thru.
We always talked about doing it .....................and WOW....................what a great surprise.

So

March in NewYork.
June in Hawaii
August cruising the Caribbean (Allure of the seas western) and
October in Disney.

Guess it will be a great year celebrating our 26th.
(God willing)

Glad you had a nice trip! They started the Ghiradelli turn down mid way thru our August stay. I love Ghiradelli but have to say I miss the resort specific ones. But then, I also miss the Disney printed napkins and plates, everything Is getting homonigized.

I hadn't heard about this before. Do they do this with all the rooms in the resorts, or just special rooms?

Does anyone know of Gasparilla's is opening back up before Thanksgiving?
I called yesterday about something else and mentioned Gasparilla's, the woman on the phone said it would be open by then.

Now I just received an email regarding my upcoming vacation.. it lists Gasparilla's on there as well.

Thanks for the update. I was thinking of requesting Sago Cay because I want a quiet location. I'm glad that there weren't any monorail or bus issues.

We are excited to stay at the GF but I know we are going to miss our Epcot resort area. We plan to go over there three nights out of four.

tonight's my last night sleeping in my own bed - tomorrow night I'll be at the GRAND!!!

We checked in Tuesday and all I can say is WOW! We had a reservation for Sugarloaf but were placed in the main building instead. Everyone one here is so very kind. RPC staff is incredible. this has become my new favorite resort by far!

WOW what a great upgrade! We felt the same way last Easter for our first stay at RPC - it blew us away and we can't wait to go back someday...

We got the resort chocolates at the end of September, so I think it's random.

After much debate about where to spend my, ahem...50th next year , the AMAZING rate I got for next August sealed the deal for us. GF, here we come again!!!

According to the Rehabs page at Allears.com, Gaspy's is not slated to open before December 15. So, I wouldn't hold my breath. But, you never know ...

We are going to the Gone Mad party next week, I had never heard of it before the Disney destinations email. Sounds really neat..until I watched a video on YouTube. Is it always that crowded and long lines?

Pas showed me those rates. Gf GV was an amazing rate. I am considering it too

Getting turndown and chocolates makes it feel like CL too.

Celebrating a milestone birthday at Disney is the best! You will have a great time.
