There's always the boat too ... The only problem is that it goes to the Poly before the MK which adds another 10 minutes or so to the trip.

Hi. :flower: Just asking everyones opinion, for our 30th Anniversary, would you rather stay in a Villa or in the club level? Thanks:flower1:

Also looking forward to hearing about the limited time Garden View Lounge in the evenings. By any chance has anyone seen the menu?

Well two weeks today we will be arriving at the GF for our 25th. Anniversary year of celebration!!!!!
So far this year we have traveled over the Eastern United States, and were at sea on the Allure on our wedding anniversary.
But since the GF holds so many fond memories we decided to end the year in style and return to our family stomping grounds.
Cannot wait.
Arriving at about noon.
Already booked our fast pass for that day at Magic Kingdom.
Wish I could find out where to review the monorail schedule
Hope the weather is great.

Excited.

I'm looking forward to this, too. Hopefully by the time I'm there next month more info will be available.

Anyone else really not happy with Gasparilla's ' under refurb ' ?

It's our first visit and although it hasn't got the best reviews I was looking forward to being able to grab a quick bite to eat there, especially on our arrival night ( 9pm ) after travelling for 12+ hours from UK with 2 little ones.

What are we going to do now? What about filling up our refill mugs? I know there are other places to fill them but where in resort?

Angry and upset :guilty:

I was surprised to this this too. It was just done a few years ago.

I think there are stations at the pools for refills.

This summer I did something different. DD and I would hang at the pool and bring ds a meal for lunch or snack back. I didn't want to go to Gaspies all wet so I ordered from the pool bar "to go" lunches and timed it for when I was ready to leave. That worked great. Check out the 2 pool menus. Lots of good stuff.

In the past we enjoyed eating at the beach pool bar/lots of tables. However I do love the room so taking food back is also nice.

Don't forget about room service! Prices were pretty comparable to gaspies.

Last you can get off mono or bus at poly and eat at CC's (that stop usually before gf for bus). Then walk back or hop on mono back.

I'm unhappy about the refurb, too. This will be our first time at GF and we aren't familiar with all the options that they will have to replace Gasparilla's. Pool bars are great if the weather is good. But we will be there in December, which can be chilly.

That's great info, thank you! This has actually helped me with other options :)

This is exactly what I am thinking! It's all a bit last minute and has me in in a panic. @trishadono has made me feel better about it though :)

I'm pretty sure Beaches (the pool bar) fills up the resort mugs. They do very good quick food as well, and stuff the kids go for. We ate there twice and only went to Gasparillas once as we preferred Beaches.

Hi, everybody. My family and I just came back from a trip staying Royal Palm Club Level at the Grand Floridian. We've posted a couple of our videos on YouTube (with more to come) showing in depth video footage of the food offerings we had during our stay. We had a wonderful trip and the food offerings were great! We were also escorted from the main lobby to the club level lobby upon our arrival. I'm not sure if this has become part of the norm again, but I was pleasantly surprised to experience this after having read about some recent changes going on at the hotel.

Here is the link to our first video:

And this is the link to our second:

Both videos focus quite a bit on the Grand Floridian and Royal Palm Club Level as it was our first time staying at the Grand Floridian and our first time staying Club Level at a Disney resort. I even give a short review on my experience at the Senses Spa. Hope you enjoy them and I hope it provides some answers for those of you with questions about the current state of cutbacks, etc. I know that I was constantly searching for any info regarding the cutbacks the weeks before our trip.

Thank you, I'll have to do a bit of research to find location etc :)
