Question for all of you...I follow the October 2015 Discount Code Watch forum and several folks have received UOC (used to be called PINs) for %off or FD for October. The FD seems to be the same dates as the PROMO just released, but the dates of the %off (20% or 30%) includes the middle of October.

My question is, since no one really knows how these codes are distributed, I'm wondering that since I have been at WDW several times over the past couple of years, if I'm not within their criteria - maybe they are more interested in attracting less frequent visitors, or new visitors.... Has anyone received an UOC who HAS been there in the past year?

I'm really hoping for a discount...it would be a GREAT anniversary present!!

Nobody's sure how you get the codes. They recommend signing up for anything disney related, like requesting the vacation planning dvd. I've been getting them in the mail forever, but I never get the email codes. :confused3

We've been in October the last 5 years and have gotten a PIN every year for that same time frame. We've only been able to the PIN once as we were already booked with FD when we received the PIN.

Hi Cari, Thanks....Yes, I have done all that, even have a Dis Visa, and order the CDs often....get all sorts of other Disney email...

But my question is, if you did get the latest one offering fall %off or FD, have you visited WDW within the last year....wondering if, because I have gone a few times lately, if I'm not in the group that gets the offers....just a curiosity.

Thanks....that may shoot my theory out of the water then...LOL Oh well, back to watching the email and mailbox... :surfweb:

When did they change the name to UOC's?? Have I been away that long? You Know I will never get used to that. I still call DHS...MGM. And it's been how many years

The last 3 we've gotten in the mail have said "Be sure to mention your Unique Offer Code" instead of "Be sure.....PIN Code".

I get them a lot for some reason. I've got two so far this year in the mail. One for the early summer time season and I just got one yesterday for the fall deals you described.

I have a question for all you Beach Club vets. Do they have the bus timers yet? I heard that some resorts will tell you how long until the next bus (and where the bus is going). Does the Beach club have that yet?
They didn't have them last weekend .. I have only seen them at GF, BWI, AKL Kidiani

Tomorrow at this time I will be checked in to the Beach Club for a trip I wasn't sure would ever happen. I just finished 6 months of chemotherapy and scheduled this trip in January as a finish line goal to get through the treatments. I am going with my 23 yo daughter, 2 sisters and 2 friends. The week after I return I will be having mastectomy. Chemo was hard. Much harder than I anticipated, but having this trip scheduled gave me something fun to focus on when things got tough. I can't believe it is finally here! It's going to be good to get away from all this cancer stuff for a few days and just relax and have fun.

joybeth - so many well wishes and congratulations coming your way. I'm so glad you're here to post about your upcoming trip and I hope it's just what you need before your surgery!

How many of you use a car service that comes with a grocery stop? We usually order from Garden Grocer, but I was thinking maybe this time we could get some breakfast items, water etc. (read Good Wine) rather than ordering what is avail online. BUT, I'm a routine type person so just thinking about not taking the ME bus makes me sweat.......Any tips?

We've used Happy Limo several times. I've heard good things about Tiffany Town Car, too. The grocery stop is really nice. I agree with you as far as good wine is concerned. It's nice to pick things out yourself. One tip - watch where you're going in the parking lot. Checking in with a bloody arm and smelling like Chardonnay isn't necessarily the first impression you want to make.

I think the distribution of codes has something to do with the lunar cycle and the timing of high tide at the Jersey shore. I've gotten two in the last few months and I was there last August and have a trip booked for this August. My 7-year-old son has gotten three pin codes. He doesn't have an email address, let alone a credit card to book a trip. It's just weird.

As far as getting a unique offer code, I have found that after I go on the wdw site & plug in some dates to get a price for a resort, I then get sent one of these emails usually within a week or so. We haven't been to wdw in four years but we used to go every year. The emails we get usually start off by saying something like we would love to have you back or since you have visited us before.
Also, I have been booked for months through a TA, but went on Disney site just to check on room rates when new discount came out. Still received an email with 30% discount plus free park hopper option added to tickets. Didn't take advantage of it because our deal from our Magical TA was still cheaper.

:welcome:

Do you have a trip booked or are you in the planning stages?

:cool2:

Our trip is booked - celebrating our daughters 4th birthday. Originally we were doing a split stay at the Poly and Beach Club, but just decided to stay at the Beach Club our entire trip. Dates are 9/20 - 9/27. We are very excited - haven't been back since our honeymoon!
