Ok totally OT but can you please send us some positive vibes. My youngest has a very special day tomorrow and my mum ( his only grandparent) was all set to come with my sister but is now currently sitting in the local hospital as her doctor thinks she may have a dvt in her leg. They'll both be gutted if she can't make it . He's the youngest grandchild and mum has been to see them all make their 1st Communion so it's a really big deal for her especially. Thanks for listening to my panic.

She only lives about 30 minutes from me and my sister lives 5 minutes from her so she will pick her up. Mum turned 80 this year and has recently given up driving as she has some memory/ processing problems now. I know if the worst happens we can visit her at the hospital hug I'm really hoping she won't be admitted so she can be here. Thanks for the well wishes and you're right everyone on this thread does feel like family!!

That is good news, the biggest concern with the DVT is a prolonged travel time. For a smaller DVT they do blood thinners and bedrest, so it doesn't travel upward and cause other issues. Taking off nurse cap, and putting back on Mickey ears now Hoping she will not be hospitalized and can come see you tomorrow and just put her feet up If you have any questions you can PM me, no worries my advice comes free to DIS friends. I am working tonight but will try to reply ASAP!

Thanks for all the good wishes. You guys work your magic fast- just got phone all to say scan showed no clot and she will be getting home now. Think she may need some diuretics increased but all is good and Granny will be there to see the last of the grandkids in his big day

IF you just happen to stroll over to the Boardwalk Bakery - I wonder if you could take a picture or two of their cakes? I'm really in need of ordering a birthday cake, but I just keep going back and forth on what kind! I know the Boardwalk Bakery has a standard Mickey cake really reasonably priced, but what if I want to order a Fancy Schmancy Fondant cake?

I have been stalking the Cake Chatter Thread on the Restaurant Board, and I'm very close to ordering one, but its for DH, and I just keep debating...

I'm not sure if this helps, but this is my experience. I book all of our trips in my name. Several years ago, I registered my husband on the Disney site and requested a video. Pretty soon after that, he received a PIN in the mail. He gets one every year now. They never come in my name, but like I said, I book our trips in my name. I don't know if it is just a coincidence, but this is our experience.

My experience. My mother (that lives with me) and I signed up on Disney site and each ordered a video. I book all the trips, she gets all the codes. Most of the time we can not use them. If she gets one that is useful, we have to cancel current booking and re-book in her name with her code. Well, that has never actually happened.

In 12 hours I should be checked in at the Beach Club!!!!!!

I'm jealous! If you have a chance to check out the ceramic painting class, I'd love to hear your comments or just see pictures. I am on the fence about taking this time out of the day, but think it could be a swell souvenir. Edit - And, if you happen to be in Epcot for extra evening magic hours and notice that Pick-a-Pearl is operational, my kids are interested.

Per code discussion.

I got a code, booked a trip. Got another code booked a trip for my parents to join us. Haven't gotten codes since! (haven't been since 3-4 years)

Last year I signed up for things again.

nothing.

Planned a trip on their site, decided it wouldn't work last year. Ah, but 6 months ago, we decided to book anyway - and a public discount did apply

Still have not received any codes! (and now my sil wants me to help her plan a trip to Disney, wish I could throw her a code! but she wants to go in October, and I talked to a friend who used to work at Disney, she heard that Disney is trying to phase out the pin codes who knows, but she seems to think every year there will be fewer)

Well, my baby just came home today from her VERY last day of high school. My baby. How on earth do I get past this? She will graduate next Saturday, and then less than 3 months from now we will be driving her 3 states away. Did I mention that she is MY BABY....

Should be excited for her during this time, but it's just too hard. Should be looking forward to our Anniversary trip, but that just means that she will be gone. There's not enough Kleenex to get me past today.

I feel for you! My one and only finishes high school in a few weeks. We were in the school one night last week for an art show and I was a bit stunned as we walked out the door at the end and I realized it might be my last time being in the school. So strange to have this stage be almost behind us.

Thankfully he is going to college in our city, so he'll be staying at home for a while longer. I think moving out is great for their independence, but less great for our independence.
