We are checking in on Saturday, Nov. 7. Our plans are to check in, and then return our rental car to the WDW Dolphin hotel and walk back to the Beach Club. About how long should we expect our walk to be? Just want to be prepared!

Maybe a 7 minute walk from the beach club lobby.

7 minutes at a leisurly pace from Swolfin to the BC lobby would be my estimate as well.

If I remember correctly, there's an escalator to bring you from the level that the Alamo/National station is located to the level of the walkway, on the lake side of the resort.

When there is only one agent on duty, there can be a wait, if there are other customers there at the same time.

I'm not sure where the rental drop off is, but it took us about ten minutes walking leisurely from the YC to the mini golf at the Swolfin. Maybe add a few minutes to that from the BC, since it's further away. It's an easy walk and you won't be doing it in the August heat.

Edited because it was more like ten and we moved like turtles.

For the first time ever, I got a pin code. The year I've been to WDW twice, I get a pin code. Grr...

Doing the happy dance. Just booked for a June 2015 trip. Ended up at the Poly during our last trip and enjoyed it but ready for a trip "home". Add me to the June list. We're ready!

We moved to BC this morning after a one night room only at POR- Royal Room. We saw Teena working and stopped to say hello. She was just as gracious and nice as she could be! She helped make sure we got a great room: 2629, full balcony and day bed and near the lobby. Pretty view as well. We are pleased as punch! This evening, we head to EPCOT for a few rides and Food and Wine.

Thanks for all the quick replies!! 40 days and we will be there! I can't wait!!

Sixty days out and counting for us. Got all the FP+ reservations booked without a hitch this morning. The only thing I have been unable to acquire is a lunch/dinner at BOG during any part of our stay or a Saturday lunch at Rainforest in DTD. Guessing Rainforest is not doing ressies on the weekend due to the post-turkey day rush that will be going on there. I keep checking BOG hoping something opens up but so far no luck. It is getting close and the booking of the FP+ just brings it that much closer to reality. Been a long time since visiting the YC and Teena. I'm looking forward to going home to friends and family.

I've been a bit MIA since our return on 8.25, but I believe I warned y'all that I go into a post-Disney depression when I don't have a return trip planned.

Well...all that has changed.

We've booked a trip for next August.
We're going to roll the dice that the Polynesian will at least be mostly completed, and we're going to have our first stay there from 8/14-8/19, and then we'll be moving "home" to the Epcot Resort Loop and putting in 5 nights at BC! We'll be there from 8/19-8/24.

Time to start planning!
I promise I'll get back to being active here, and I'll do a quick review of our August trip in the near future, but here's a preview...

BC/YC DisMeetup: A+++

Are you just trying through Disney to get a reservation at Rainforest? I know when people have tried to book T-Rex through Disney, it is often booked up, but if you call the restaurant directly, there is no problem getting a reservation.

Scott, I hope the Poly is in perfect condition for you next August. I think the pool is scheduled to be done, for sure. I got an email from the travel-agency-that-shall-not-be-named and I'm so tempted to have them price something out for us.

Been lurking on the thread for a while now and was wondering if there is any news on the BC refurb? We are anxiously waiting our turn to have a wonderful trip and it starts in less than 10 days. Just wondering if the lounge was completed and if they were working on the rooms yet? We are staying at CL and have never done there before on our previous visits. We love it there and can't wait to go back.

We took advantage of that great deal & booked Poly CL for next August. We'll be checking in on the 12th so I'm sure we'll see you around. I'm also glad to see you gave the YC CL an A+...we'll be there in just a couple of weeks and cannot wait!!!

This is exactly what we did last month at Yak & Yeti. Called the restaurant directly when I couldn't get an ADR thru Disney .

I tried for 5 months to acquire lunch/dinner at BOG. Just when I resigned myself we would not 'Be Guests', I received an email with a special code to participate in a test lunch. We check in two weeks from tomorrow, and received the email last week. Wishing you the same test lunch offer...keep your eyes peeled.

I was thinking the exact same thing about the refurb the entire time we were there!!! I just wanted to climb through the a/c ducts and lower myself Tom Cruise Mission Impossible-style into the new lounge and see how it's coming along!!!! Can't wait to see it when it's done!

Lounge opens to guests tomorrow morning at 7 AM. It is absolutely beautiful and huge. It far exceeded my expectations ... I can't wait for everybody to see it.

Rehab has not started on the fifth floor. Last I heard was sometime in October.

Have you tried this. We used it last trip and walked right in. It allows you to order your meal when you make your Fastpass (it does NOT affect your regular FP). Otherwise you walk in, order and be seated.
