Can anyone remind me of the upgrade charge from QSDP to DDP?
Still trying to figure out if we should stick with value or bump up depending on the fee for upgrading

It's about $18 per adult, per night and about $3 per child, per night to upgrade from quick service to the regular DDP.

I AM OVER THE MOON!! WAHOO Finally a Free Dining deal and my dates are included!! I landed Airfare from Chicago to Orlando for my fam of 4 for $803 total!! From Chicago that is a fantastic deal!! Everything is lining up way too good... hope the weather holds out for the trip and everything will be perfect!

Danny's original post, when I wrote that, said he would give details tonight. He normally says he will give info 20 days out, so lead me to believe he was going to say the release date was May 16.

Within a few minutes of his post saying he would announce the dates tonight, he came right back and said the new FD release date was now May 9. And I have no idea why he did it that way.

I think it was my fault for spilling the beans...

Because Disney wants to minimize as much as possible, but still realize they must do this to keep folks coming during the slow time.

He just updated the thread and states that the new free dining promo will be released May 9 and will be for September 2-25. Quick service for values and regular DDP for mods and deluxe resorts.

There are going to be some people VERY unhappy about no August dates.

I am going on sept 7th at por but i dont have the dining plan on my ressie do i have to have dining on the ressie to qualify for the free dining perk?

Because Disney wants to minimize as much as possible, but still realize they must do this to keep folks coming during the slow time.

Exactly. Free dining has created traffic in the parks and fills rooms during historically low crowd seasons. If they completely got rid of FD those attendance numbers and occupancy rates would once again plummet for those time frames. Just a basic numbers game

No, you will just need to call when the FD code is released and they will modify your existing reservation, no problem.

Excited that FD is offered for my time but totally frustrated because last night I changed my reservation from campsites to a value and purchased airfare because I was told that FD would never be included on campsite purchase but Danny lists the campsites as included!! UGH Could cry right now!

I'm skeptical of the campsites being included in that list, as they have never been included in a general public FD promo. When you call, to add the code to your existing reservation, you can ask them and if, by some crazy chance they are included, you can change your resort again.

Danny already said that the LM rooms appear to be included this time. Not sure about the royal rooms.

Where did you see that? I am wondering about LM rooms I also wonder what weeks will be blacked out before they start the October FD promo. Ugh! 10/2 come on!!

So is the rumor that the Free Dining for Moderates will only be the quick service plan? I sure hope not! I am hoping to stay at POR with free regular dining the week of Labor Day.
