2013 Candlelight Processional Watch

So wait, the CP package includes seating for Illuminations too? This is the first I've heard that and makes it MUCH more worth it, in my opinion, for two credits. My husband LOVES Illuminations.

It's standing room, not seating, but yes, that was the case in the past. I've stood in the reserved area between the gift shops before and thought it was a very good view (to the PP who asked). But I'm not sure if all the CP Iluminations viewing is in that spot or not. I've also heard that those at the last show felt it was too rushed to get there.

Yeah, I'll be attending the 8:15 show, I'm thinking it will last until 9:00, with Illuminations at 9:30. How far away from the Processional is the viewing area? I love Illuminations so I'm not sure if I want to risk walking far only to wind up with a subpar viewing area but by that time it'll be hard to find a good spot anyway

If the viewing area is between the gift shops, that is directly across the lake from the American Adventure pavilion /CP if I'm remembering right (20 trips you would think I would be more certain). So that's as far as you can be. But I *think* there might be other viewing locations? That I'm not sure of, because they didn't offer that viewing last time we did CP.

I think there may be more than one viewing area on rare occasion. I don't have personal knowledge as I have only done the Processional once and the viewing area was at Showcase Plaza, like Vicki said, but I have seen posts in the past about it being in other areas. I think usually it is in that spot, though.

We always do the last show on Christmas Eve, and we never use the Illuminations area. The park is already crowded to maneuver through, but by the time we arrive at the preferred viewing areas, they are usually already full. We do better just squeezing in somewhere else.

We just noticed that the processional info has been updated on the Disney site so rang to try and book - the operator tells me that bookings open on 9 July.

I did not know the package included Illuminations also - is that true for each sitting or just the last one? Trying to weigh up what time to book for!

The preferred viewing for Illuminations is available for all the Candlelight Packages, regardless of the time you see the show :-)

Fingers crossed for July 9th!

Our site (Canadian) still just lists the 2012 information. Maybe because you are in the UK you are seeing something different?

My sister just got off the phone with a Disney and they said July 9th you can start booking. But they don't know when the narrators will be released.

Yep, I was told this morning "this week or next", so July 9th seems about right!:cool1:

Well, that's a bummer! I will book either way, but I planned some flexibility just in case we want to see one performer over another. This will just make me book more than one night and then cancel once it is announced...

Two CMs saying the same thing! Maybe July 9 is true??

That's our plan as well. We'll be at Epcot on Monday and Friday. If we don't get the list beforehand, my sister will book Monday and I'll pick Friday.

On the special events list page - it had the 2012 dates yesterday; this afternoon (UK time) these updated to 2013 dates

Sorry I can't post a link as I've not put up enough posts yet!

Called about some other things and the CM said they just got an email and July 9th is the day!! YAY!!

How excited can we be !! WooHoo. I was starting to think it had to be next week since the 2014 packages are supposed to come out. It just seemed easy to load the website with all the new info at once. Please Mr Website, don't time out during my reservation process.
