Unfortunately, no. We talked with the staff about how much ds loved the Sandcastle club last year and they told us that when he turned 13 he absolutely wouldn't be able to come. Boo hoo.

Man....That was my fear! Oh well, I am sure we can have a date night when we get back home.

33 more days before our trip to BC. I've been running to the mailbox every morning hoping to find my Mickey Mail but still nothing.

Ugh...this is my daughter. She just turned 12 and immediately developed an affliction where her eyes roll constantly, so much so that I'm surprised we haven't had to go to the eye doctor to have her treated for muscle strain due to overuse!

LOL! Does she still enjoy Disney? That is my fear, that he will wake one day and be meh on planning on our trip when, right now, he is my right-hand man. If that goes away I will be sad.

The number is 407-934-4004. Give them a call and they will explain your options. We have what they call the mini session booked on June 13, which is the 20 minute session. You are given a flash drive after the session with all your pictures, and a release is included on the drive. You can then get them printed anywhere. It rained on us one time at the Poly, and they had plenty of indoor spots, plus the waterfall in front of the lobby, which is covered. I'm sure they will have different spots to choose from at the BC if it rains. We don't ask for a specific photographer, but I do ask them to send someone who is good with young children. That worked well for us last year. We like to do pictures in the morning before we go to the parks or pool. This year we are going to breakfast at Captain's Grill to get my sons' beloved Mickey waffles before pictures. That should make for better pictures for us! Give it a try! As a mom, I believe I can never have too many pictures of my boys!!!:goodvibes:goodvibes

Thank you! I have been on the fence about this and am now definitely going to book this for DD and hopefully a decent pic of the two of us!

Nowhere really to post this, I'm just super excited to say I got a new camera!!!! :) This should help my live trip report be even better!!!! It's a Nikon Coolpix S9500. Now lets just hope I don't drop it or lose it!! LOL ;)

Sent from my iPhone using DISBoards

Congrats on the new camera! How do you like it? I was looking at the small Nikons, but don't think they're Mac compatible :confused3

I know I am going to have a mini midlife crisis when my oldest turns 13 this year too. It doesn't help that my adorably sweet, friendly, affectionate child has entered an eye-rolling, sulky, slouchy stage. I hope it comes full circle but it may be a long few years. :)

My dd16 is turning 17 on Saturday and is showing signs of life again but may be tag teaming with her 13 year old brother who starts HS in the fall.

I picked ours up from AAA yesterday! We'll see you there in just 30 days :)

Good Morning Everyone!!! I was just on the BC/YC picture thread.......oh boy do I miss being there!!!

Teena: Is Bob's wrist all better now?

Yep, this new one is compatible with Mac! :) OS 10.6, 10.7, and 10.8 :thumbsup2

I did a lot of research first, this one pretty much blew me away. I haven't tried the wifi feature yet, but everything else so far is awesome. :goodvibes

My DS13 still loves going :) His interests have changed over the years, and we give him a lot of freedom once we get to the park to go off and do things on his own. He knows these parks like the back of his hand so I don't worry. He does a mixture of rides and loves all the newer interactive stuff.

Both of my DDs have been completely in love with Disney!!! Even during those "growing pain" years :)

If/when they do stop wanting to go with you - just wait. I raised my DS24 going to WDW - often just the 2 of us - he was also my best travel buddy. We didn't 'loose' him until after his 16th b'day trip (we did let him bring a friend for that one and they had a blast). Then, lo and behold, in his Sr year of college in Calif he calls me 3 weeks bfore spring break and asks if DH and I want to meet him and his GF in WDW. Say what??!! LOL Fastest trip I ever put together and we had the best time and got a whole week to get to know his (still) GF and fall in love with her too. They came again the following year for newest DGrDs 1st b'day trip - pretty sure they would meet us in WDW anytime they could now.:goodvibes
My older girls and their families are always up for meeting up at WDW with us - so hang in there if you get those in-between teen years - mine came back - and brought more WDW-loving family with them!!

Oh Yeah - checking into BCV TONIGHT!! Hope to get a pic of my DGrDs with Teena on Sunday or Monday!! I have pics of my kids and DNeph with Art through the years. Whoo Hoo!!

Maybe I'll see you there! :thumbsup2

Say hi if you see us - chubby, blonde Oma (that's what the grands call me) and my beautiful, tall dark-haired Star wars loving DGrD9 - then DD34 is checking in on Sat with her DH and his extended family - and my newest DGrD2 - the worlds most beautiful platinum blonde baby girl (of course) LOL :goodvibes
We'll be spending lots of time at the pool with the whole crew whenever I can drag DGrD away from SWW - LOL
Enjoy!! - hope to see some DISers there!

I will keep my eyes open! If you see me just yell "MURPH" and I'll immediately stop!

Dee.....please don't shoot me, but I have good news! We are no longer doing a BC/Poly split. Our entire trip will be at the BC! Club Level! The discount I was waiting for didn't cover my Poly stay so we're doing BC all the way! We are NEVER going to be hungry on this trip because we booked the regular DDP. I will gain 1,000 pounds between the CL offerings and our meals on the DDP. :scared1:

I have to admit, I'm a little disappointed that we aren't staying at Poly (don't shoot me BC lovers!). Our whole family was looking forward to it. Oh well....there's always next year. The good news is that our entire trip will be at my favorite resort ever....Beach Club!

And Dee, maybe we'll get to meet up at SAB for a Sunken Treasure since we'll be at BC at the same time!

I honestly think planning and anticipating this trip is more than half the fun of going on vacation. Who's with me? It puts me in a wonderful mood! It's a cool, dreary day here in Chicago but I am bright and happy!!!!!!

Dreary here in Indiana too, but I can't get the smile off my face!!! :dance3:
