Anyone had the Lobster & Shrimp roll at Hurricane Hannah's?

I had it a couple of days ago.....I will preface this with the fact that I am a New Englander, born and bred....so I definitely have a certain standard for seafood (and I know my lobster rolls)....this was nothing like a lobster roll I would get from home. Here is a pic:

First, a lobster roll from home would not have shrimp in it. It would not have so much mayo. The bun would be buttered and the lobster would be bubbling out of it!!! I'm pretty sure there was some artificial lobster mixed in with the real lobster...no, no, no....:sad2:

But, I know alot of people like it. It just did NOT cut it for me.

I'm from the mid south. That lobster roll looks amazing! I'm used to not-quite-authentic seafood though. :rotfl2:

Hi everyone,
I recently book at the Beach Club (1st time staying) It is a splurge for a much needed vacation its been 4 years since we have taking more than a 2 day vacation anywhere.

Anywho the only rooms that were available for what we needed (2 queens and a daybed) were on club level.

From all my research on these boards I think we will be in either 4691 or 3557 because the Cm told me we would only have a Juliette (standing room) balcony.

Does anyone have photos of 3557 or 4691? I would really appreciate it and is that a far walk from the Club Lounge?

I am so excited and any information that can passed along would be so appreciated.

I love DISER'S you guys are the BEST pixiedust:

Hope you have a great vacation at BC after such a long wait!

If you stay on the club level in a regular room, all rooms are on the 5th floor so you would not be in either of those rooms. If you booked a deluxe room, then your room will be located on another floor with 5th floor privileges.

Not sure when you are going, and it may be that rooms in all other categories are already booked especially if it is soon, but rooms with 2 queens and a daybed are available in all resort categories.

If you are a party of 5, you are prioritized to get a room with a daybed. If you are a party of 4 just hoping for a daybed, then you may not get one but my understanding is you can request a rollaway. And if you are a party of 5 who does end up in a room without a daybed, you will get a rollaway for certain.

So if you really didn't want to book club level there may be other rooms available you did not know about. Just want to let you know daybeds are throughout the resort.

I have arrived and i'm on the Magical Express headed to BLT! Flight had no delays and I got right on ME and left the airport within 5 mins! More later!!

Thank you Mickey&Minnie Mom for the information. We booked Deluxe Club Level because my daughter (17) and son(9) need their own sleeping arrangements. I don't mind having club level. I was told that was the only option for 2 queens(1-for hubby&me 1-daugher) and a daybed (for son) were Deluxe Club Level.

Not sure if I am reading all the information correctly but it looks like there are only 6 rooms like that at the Beach Club :scratchin

Hello Beach and Yacht Crowd!

We just booked at Yacht for Aug 23-28. Very excited as this is our first ever stay on Disney property! I have skimmed through most of this thread but was wondering if there is any other place (fan website or the like) where folks would recommend I go to familiarize myself with the Yacht Club?

Also, how important does this group think park hoppers would be? This is only our second trip to WDW and on our first one we were quite happy with going full on 12 hour days at one park!!!

Welcome to the thread!!

Park Hoppers are a must for my family, especially when staying at BC/YC. We tend to walk to EPCOT each night for either dinner, snacks, or to just shop around and people watch!!!

enjoy your planning.

We are planning our first visit in just 3 short weeks. I had a tough time trying to decide which park tickets to get and how many days. I finally settled on 10 day park hoppers. I wanted to have the option of walking over to Epcot for dinner in the evenings if we wanted to. We are not planning on 12 hours in the parks. We will be spending the mornings in the park and returning to the resort for some relaxation and swimming. Since you have been to WDW before you may find you want to spend less time at the parks and more time enjoying the resort. A park hopper will give you the option to easily return to Epcot in the evening.

That looks like seafood salad on a roll. Still looks good though. I'll probably wanna try one when I'm there.

I can add park hoppers when I check in right?

Yes, you should be able to adjust your pass easily. We added an extra day to ours on the last night of our trip last year at the front desk.

As a reminder to all going: IF you decide to add an extra day to your passes, be sure and do so before they expire. for example: on Friday night (we were checking out on Saturday) we decided to add a park day to spend a few more hours at MK. the CM told DH if he would have waited to do so on Saturday, it wouldn't have worked because we had used the original last day of our pass on the Friday.

Kind of reminds me of seeing Gumbo made ANYWHERE but here (unless its by a transplanted Cajun)!!!

We stayed in one of the deluxe rooms on the 4th floor a few years ago. It was a wee bit of a hike up and down to the lounge but not too bad (didn't stop me going up and getting breakfast items to bring back to the room). You will love the extra space in the room. Have a great time :goodvibes

We vacationed in Maine every year throughout my childhood and early adulthood. Every single lobstah roll I had was on a dock, in a plastic chair at a weathered picnic bench, with sea gulls flying around and the faint smell of gasoline in the air as lobstermen, locals and tourists pulled up their boats to refuel and grab something to eat.

Despite us staying at the Beach Club, I'm not going to even try HH's version. I know it will just disappoint, just like every one I've had south of Mass.

Thank you so much!!! My husband is from Boston so that's not going to cut it for him either. ;) LOL

Thank you Luvpoohandcompany. Are the rooms larger in Deluxe? Do you remember what #room you had Im real curious what room 4691 looks like and what view etc.

Thank you

Flafun, I have stayed in 3557. My pictures are in the thread posted below. It had two juliet balconies, one view of the quiet pool and another a gorgeous view of the lagoon. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2872514

Deluxe rooms are bigger than regular rooms. Loved the size and set up of the room. It was kind of a trek to the CL lounge, for us. In the morning, we treated it as our stop before heading out to the parks rather than bothering to return to the room.
