2012 Free Dining Watch and Wait HERE

Apparently the PIN was Mom's name (still not sure why it came to our address--maybe it is under my DH's name?? Need to call back...yeah)...so we would have to do a Family Suite at the All Star Music resort.
If we upgraded to regular dining plan from QS, is it $10/pp/day?

Is your mom going with you? If not, they will probably not let you use it. I think the upgrade is closer to $16 per day for adults.

Last year I got a pin code sent to my home address but it had my best friend's name on it. Because it was sent to my address they let me use it no problem!

Since 2008 and our 6 trips to WDW, we've always had free dining. WELL, this year we are going from 10/23-10/28 (5 nights/6 days) and there IS free dining going on then according to the CM I spoke to but has not been offered to us. Is it because I already have booked my ressies in advance? If I do not get free dining by my 45 days out from time of arrival I'm cancelling this trip! Aside from hounding a phone agent every day to see if a PIN has be bestowed upon us, is there any tips of suggestions my fellow dis-ers have? I'm serious, I'm gonna cancel if I don't get it. We budget for these trips and paying for meals is NOT in the budget! Thank you in advance!

The PIN codes that are out now have your dates covered. That offer should be released to the general public anytime between now and the first week of August. Hang in there a bit longer and you should be able to keep your trip as scheduled.

We have reservations already for December 1-8 this year and are staying at Port Orleans French Quarter. My MIL received a dining plan discount via mail at her home but it did not include our dates. Any idea if there is free dining for these dates and how I can get it? We have booked the deluxe dining plan. I'm guessing since we are staying in a moderate resort, the dining plan will be free with the option to upgrade. Switching dates of travel is not an option... We have breakfast in the castle for the first time ever! Dinner is booked at Le Cellier, too. My husband refuses to sacrifice those two things

Any help or advice on how to get free dining is greatly appreciated. I'm brand new to this site. Thanks!

Right now there are only PIN codes, which means you must personally receive one to use it.

I don't think you should hold out for December 1 to be a free dining check in date. The first week of December is usually excluded.

The closest thing we have right now is a rumor that was posted on the Resort board by someone who posted the correct dates and release for free dining last year. Here is the thread.

You'll note if you check it, that check-in dates between November 30 and December 9 are blacked out. If this schedule proves to be the actual public offer, your dates won't be included. You would have to find some way to check in on November 29 to be eligible.

I probably shouldn't, but I'm going to keep checking this. We are DVC members but when free dining is offered we usually like to book something at the Polynesian since they don't have vacation club rooms there. (I know you can use points and stay anywhere but with what we need it would be more points then we even have to stay 5 days)

We have a week at the poly planned for over labor day with free dining and some time in january booked at the BLT using our points. I may cancel that and plan something at vero beach later in the year if we could do disney again in early dec. with free dining

doubt this would ever happen but I'd love to see the 20-30% the room price AND free dining good luck to everyone else waiting for free dining on the dates they want.

disney never lets you "stack" discounts. you can't even get a room with a AAA rate for free dining!

Shouldn't the Disney Visa Card Holders be getting something in the mail to cofirm free dining and these dates? We are at POP those dates with AAA room discount but would switch the discount for the QSDP.

Its highly unlikely that is the weekend that Pop Warner kicks off and with the amounts of families it brings in they steer clear of any discounts. I know because for the last two years we had to miss out on FD but this year we bumped our trip up a whole week.

My guess is it is wrong. We usually only get the Aug/Sept FD deal early. Last year the fall offer went to everyone at the same time. I would love for it to be true, but the reality is that it probably isn't.
