Great pics pixarmom! Looks like a wonderful room.
If you look across your balcony, on the 5th floor, the last room that has the outside light on is one of our favorite rooms! We had it in 2010 and 2011 and had the room next to it this summer.
Hope you are having a magical trip!
Hi
Robyn!!! I thought I identified those rooms across the way as the two deluxe rooms right above Cape May that others have mentioned. They looked wonderful from the outside! Our deluxe room last year was near the quiet pool, and we loved that one too!
Was it so close that you could....say, tie a rope around your refillable mugs and lower them down from your balcony for a refill??
The good thing about using the rope method is that in the morning the CM's can loop bagels and donuts through the holes and onto the rope for a really quick breakfast!
Thanks for the great report! It really put a wag in my tail!

Update: Mom is getting near the end and we all have been spending quality time with her. She is at peace with everything and we are just keeping her comfortable. My Mom is the type of person who is the ultimate caregiver, so she was feeling a little awkward being on the receiving end of all that care. We were able to get her to accept the fact that, just like she got all that satisfaction from taking care of us, we are getting SO MUCH satisfaction from helping her!

It's all good and the family has really come together over this. Thanks to everybody who has been keeping us in your thoughts and prayers.
NM, thanks so much for sharing the update regarding your mom. She sounds like a wonderful person and I'm glad to know that you have the opportunity to spend that quality time with her. You and your family continue to be in our thoughts and prayers.
And of course, I love the idea of sending my refill mug down on a string. Do not be fooled by our photo of Flat Ben near the grey goose slushie. After the photo, I promptly poured that slushie into my refill mug.
Awesome pics
pixarmom!!!! Is it possible to be close to the lobby and close to the Epcot side??? (If that makes sense)....that's what I would like to request.
Hi
Mousemommy! Thank you! Close to the lobby does end up being a bit further away from the "secret entrance" and Epcot. We've been close to Epcot, close to the lobby and everywhere in between. I've never had a complaint about any location, because there are benefits to each. I just thought that staying non-CL this time, it was nice to be so close to the Marketplace.
My camera was a to do list thing. I kept waiting and waiting to buy one and a dear friend asked me to think of the shots I was letting get away because I was waiting. Grandson loves all sports and we love WDW so what two better subjects to photograph. Had it a year now and still feel like I'm just beginning to learn.
You have our resort strategy down to a T. Marathon Week in January has us trying a 1BR at BLT for four nights, justthe DW and me. Sunday-Wednesday. Then Thursday-Sunday over to a 2BR at BCV. Sisters and Husbands all joining us again. 5th annual. Can't wait.
And then we are doing the West Coast repositioning cruise on the Wonder next May. Then on to Alaska leg the next week. I will have to pm you some questions (ask for tips) as the trip gets closer.
And thanks for all your menu/resort pictures. No telling how many guest you have helped in their planning.
MickeyT, so excited for your trip next summer! We really miss the Wonder and love both California and Alaska, so when you are closer to your trip, please let me know how I can help! I'm originally from California and we visit relatively often, so let me know if I can try to answer questions about anything from the L.A. area/DL to San Francisco.
Love hearing about your marathon plans. That split stay sounds great. I think that's going to be our plan from now on - 1/2 monorail resort and 1/2 Epcot area. We just have to reach consensus on which resorts! I'll always be promoting BC as my favorite, but I know I have to compromise sometimes.
Thank you pixarmom for the
MNSSHP report. I am going to check it out since we'll be attending our first in jusult under 3 weeks.
Yay!
Kelleigh, really hope you enjoy it as much as we did! We had a pretty relaxed pace and were able to do everything we wanted - but we didn't stand in line for characters (other than a short one for Cruella after the mix & mingle and a short one for Hatter at the end of the night.) You may have mentioned this before, but are you dressing up?
Great pics!
We did this split in May and really enjoyed it. We felt like it was the best of both worlds.
Thanks,
333disneymom! And it sounds like we have more fans of the split stay!
Pixarmom:
Those are simply lovely pics. We were on that exact same side in September. My only complaint was hearing those little Disney cleaning mice with leafblowers at 7:30 in the morning out by the back doors.
Hi
Miss! Thanks so much! I was up and out on the balcony before the leaf blowing started this time. By 7:30am, we were on our way to DHS. But 7:30am must be the "leaf blowing hour" because that's exactly what happened at CR.
Pixarmom: Wow! I love your pictures! Your room location is absolutely phenomenal! Pixie Dust is alive and well at BC.
Thanks,
Catho! And yes, we think so! Over 20 years of BC stays, we haven't experienced any issues with the cleanliness or our room or the resort. And we've really enjoyed every room we've been assigned for different reasons.
pixarmom- fantastic tour around the Beach Club. That IS a great room!!! We had a similar room on our first stay at the BC, overlooking the courtyard. Mark LOVED the people-watching from there.
Thanks,
Dee! My husband is the same way - likes to be in the middle of everything (well, in a resort - not necessarily in the park!) Oh, and thanks to those who recommended different places to watch the Packer game last Sunday. He wanted the most lively atmosphere, so he went to ESPN, made a friend and watched the game. And
Teena is such a great sport for many reasons!
What is going on with the negative reviews of BC? I saw one on a thread that sounded so outrageous, wasn't sure if it could be true! Not worried after seeing Pixarmoms beautiful pics but was just curious if housekeeping on a daily basis was difficult. We will be there in Dec.
I have to say, I love this thread. I read it almost everyday. Don't contribute much but I enjoy reading everyone's posts.
Hi
jasec! As
Teena mentioned, it can happen anywhere. But I'm really, well, let's just say focused on cleanliness and room condition and I've not had any complaints about that issue at BC over many stays. I was trying to decide whether I have any objectivity left when it comes to Disney resorts - I do feel like we're paying not only for the room itself, but the location, the service, etc. But we stay in lots of non-Disney resorts - New York, San Francisco, Seattle, D.C., Monterey, Santa Barbara and Chicago over the past year. Anything from Kimptons to the Ritz Carlton - so I do have a basis for comparison and I just haven't experienced the quality problems in Disney resorts that I'm reading about here. Now, I cut CR a little break because of how the building is constructed and limitations I assume exist when they try to renovate a building like that. But even those rooms are clean and well-maintained.
