After many years - we are returning to Disney this August. We will be staying at the Yacht Club. I have recently been reading all the great info from this thread....better than most other sources....so I just want to send a big THANKS! You all have been very helpful!![]()
Just available this morning. Cheshire Figment has a thread on the theme parks board.
WOW! I called yesterday and they didn't know when they would go on sale. We'll have to call and get them booked.
Thanks!
We've been having some problems with the soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc. ... seems some housekeepers aren't quite understanding how this works. Anyway, I've had to go back to housekeeping and talk to some of the managers about certain rooms and although they attempt to fix the problem, sometimes it still happens. If you ever need extra of anything or more of anything, pick up the phone and call housekeeping. If you don't have it within an hour, call again. If that doesn't work, call and ask to speak with a housekeeping manager. Also, you can go down to the first floor to either the front desk or the concierge desk and we have loads of supplies of everything at those desks and will be happy to give them to you. You shouldn't have to do this but it is an alternative until this problem gets fixed.
Newbie here to crash the party and say thank you for this great thread & FAQ! You guys helped me decide to go ahead and book my first ever solo trip (eek!) and my first stay at YC, for Halloween this year. I've wanted to stay here for a number of years and just never seemed to make it happen. I'm so excited!!OK, carry on

Funny how no matter how many times you call, you always get a different answer. We had 3 different reports from CM's yesterday in our FB group. One that they were on sale today. One that they were going on sale May 8th. And the 3rd had no idea.

So one of my coworkers is also going to WDW in October, but a couple weeks before us. They are going with a whole group of 20+ people. I guess some are staying at the BC. We were talking about the Fantasmic Pkg and he was saying how they could only get the pkg with a lunch at Mama Melrose at noon, so they were going to have a ton of time between that and Fantasmic and they were talking about going back to BC and "sneaking into" SAB. I just said "I won't tell you how I feel about that." But he got the picture and he actually said that he doesn't plan to, but his sister is always the one who insists they can just go anywhere because their parents are staying at BC.
I did point out that they are getting even tighter on checking to make sure it's guests only and that they can always go to the quiet pools as a group. Think it's time for me to write that letter to the BC again about making sure they check.

We are going to wait to buy them since we don't know which night we want to plan it for. Worried about the weather. Any refunds if it gets rained out?

I don't think we would use the boat to Epcot, but is the boat to DHS air conditioned??? (from the pics it looks like it's possible...), but I was just wondering, because I'm thinking in July heat, it is not pleasant to walk to DHS, and was just wondering if there is an air conditioned option. Thanks!![]()

I have two teenage girls - ages 13 and 16 (and we are all still alive this week) - any suggestions for restaurants?
And if the weather is like it has been for the past few days, SAB is the place to be. It's hot and humid!!!

All I can say about DHS is--------------------good luck!! I ended up having a kids meal (uncrustable PBJ) and i think DD's had Turkey Sandwiches.
