The summer is flying by and it hasn't even begun! This of course makes me freak out about paying off our October trip.... ugh... I need a discount pronto or Club Level just isn't gonna happen!

Good Luck on your promo code Jenneth! I guess it's a matter of perspective. Because I've already paid off our trip and am going to the world next month (we'll be there on the ACTUAL first day of summer), it feels like it's take FOREVER

Anyway. One Month, One Week and One Day to go. I come on here to talk about it when I can because I can't say anything to my kids.

Feckless Love the same time trip reports. If you're headed back soon, I hope the plane trip is safe. I really think all the sun coupled with the sausage and the three huge mugs of chocolate milk really just caught up with your son. I'd be shocked if he caught some kind of virus. I seriously doubt it's more than that. I hope he's ok to fly! It sounds like you're having the time of your life!

Thanks everyone for all the kind comments about my DS! He was asleep when we got back to the room from Hollywood Studios yesterday and I had to wake him up at 6. He was completely disoriented and thought it was the following day. He said he was up for a quick trip to DTD, so once DH got back from his solo tour of WS and some room service (very quick, only 20 mins!) we took the bus. First stop Lego store, and had a pleasant surprise - since I ordered all the Xmas Lego for my office I had a $40 credit on my VIP account! I didn't even have my card! Then to World of Disney, Once Upon a Toy, Xmas store, and Design a Tee. DD was desperate to have the shirt she designed, but they didn't have resort delivery before we left so I thought I might have time to pick up today (too late for same day printing). Well, today got away from me, so CL staff runner is picking it up! Saved me 2 hours of my precious last day... Makes CL worth it right there!!!

This morning was early EMHs at MK and the kids were dead to the world this morning, and DH looked quite tired so I got a shower, grabbed a latte and croissant from the lounge, and hit the bus. Made it for my one and only rope drop!!! . Walked on all the rides in Fantasyland that I missed the first day. Riding It's a Small World by myself was a tiny bit pathetic though! LOL Got a Nutella and fruit waffle sandwich at Sleepy Hollow which was incredible. Then hit the jewelry store on Main Street waiting for the family to show, and got my Mickey Charm for my Pandora bracelet. Woot! Did the whole of Tomorrowland with the rest of my family and then did Pirates again, Jungle Cruise and Snow White (since it's closing!) Kids went into SAB immediately upon returning. My DS sure is a trooper!!! His appetite is not back but he did eat a Dole Whip float (most of it anyway)

Tonight I switched our Brown Derby ADR to Chefs de France - the other family only has one TS credit left and BD is SO expensive... Anyway, I want to do Fantasmic tonight if everyone is up for it. Then we have to pack tonight - ME tomorrow at 10:15 am! What a mess our room is in!!!

I can't remember if I mentioned but we got a cot for our room and it is really comfortable. It's a bit tight in the room and you have to squeeze by it to get out on the balcony, but it was worth it for sanity.

The whole bedding thing is an issue for me. Once my DM and DS arrive, DH and DS would have to sleep on that pull out sofa for five nights. I have requested an air mattress. I know if it were me, I wouldn't want to sleep on it, but DH and DS are not thrilled, but will do it.

Oh how I long for two doubles or queens in a one bedroom villa

read up & see the whole rest of your plans. can you not make it two separate reservations - one for you & DH with your package for the whole stay, then a separate reservation for the rest of the gang arriving later? Then you canhave your own room, and request an adjoining room when the gang checks in? can you really mess things up for dd & bunk like this:
you & dh = best bed (of course!)
dd & your mom = next best bed
ds & ddbf = pull out and/or air mattress?

speaking as someone who just shared a double sized airmattress with my dd 8 3/4, unless the air mattress is big, go one per person. she kept rolling into me & bumped me off of the bed twice

Hello! I just returned from YC less than two weeks ago and scouted out the "secret entrance" at YC. Wow - I just loved it. In fact, I may have used it even more than the BC "secret entrance" that we use during BC stays. I like how you're right at the marina when you step out of the door - especially when heading for the boat dock - no need to go all the way toward the lobby and back out.

Here is my understanding of the tipping situation:

CMs in non-tipped positions are not permitted to accept CASH tips. They may accept "goods" (food, books, etc) as long as the value is under $75. I have been told that gift certificates are not considered to be cash and are acceptable.

A little foggy on this part... Bell Services/Luggage CMs are tipped positions, I believe. Valets, the ones who hail your cabs, are not. I could be wrong on this so if anyone can confirm... When in doubt, I will ask the CM if they are permitted to accept tips.

For club level CMs, I try to put together a group gift, maybe local specialties (think Vermont maple candy, Tasty Cakes, that sort of thing).

Mousekeeping- I keep reading that this is NOT a tipped position, but they can accept tips but are supposed to pool them. This always confuses me. So I tip every day and also leave a couple of dollars for turndown service if I am staying at club level.

I copied that into my DISBoards Tip file that I have going on, itis exactly the tipping info I needed.

I have never taken ME, we always rent a car but I toyed with the idea this year and did look into it. Some posted being thrillled that 90 minutes later in their hotel, etc. things ran super smooth etc. I personally think you are cutting it sort of close. Who knows how long you have to wait for ME, check in, etc. I don't know.....I hope it works but boy that is tight...

We have always used ME and usuall arrive between 9 - 10 am. we have never had to wait more than 10 min for a ME bus.

a mother-daughter trip to the BC next month!

Was able to score an AP rate for a garden view CL~never ever stayed in one of these rooms before!!! So excited!

I am so just excited I could just burst! I cried so hard! Shaking all over! Never expected this when I woke up this morning!

We leave in 4 days for Florida.

This weekend I need to mow the grass, change the oil in the truck, finish packing and book two more hotels for the trip down!

Our drive is about 16 hours. We will be stopping several places along the way this year including a couple of Florida beaches for a day or two before we check in to the Swan.

We also plan to stay in either South Carolina or Georgia for a day. We usually just drive the entire way but this time we want to see some additional sights along the way.

Also, was the charm you purchased a brand name? I only ask because my mom purchased a minnie charm for me years ago and its super cute but it was an off brand because at the time disney did not sell pandora or chamilia.

We liked our dinner at Chefs de France. People who had the steak were happier (MUCH) than those who had short rib... Kids loved the chicken fingers and the desserts were great. No characters at dinner that I could see!

Also, finally got an OGMS. heaven.

I don't think the charm I got was Pandora but it *should* fit on my bracelet. If not, I'll put it on a chain!

If the charm you got was in the jewelry case, which I'm guessing it is, they are made by Chamilia and it should fit your Pandora bracelet. I have the Chamilia bracelet and a few Disney charms but my mom has a Pandora bracelet and the system appears identical.

I have Chamilia too! Someone once told me that they use to be one company, but then there was some falling out and Chamilia broke off from Pandora and started making their own. So for the most part, the charms to fit both bracelets. (Thinking I might get my niece one for graduation.)


Oh...and look at that...down there...5 1/2 months until I'm at the Yacht Club!! Mickey is about to cover up the lighthouse.
