It is a super secret list. (Shhh - don't tell anyone, but I'll let you in on the secret.)

It is the list of who is going to be at the BC/YC, and when they are staying. You can find the list on page one of this thread.

The intrepid Dee is very good at welcoming people to the thread and keeping the list up to date.

We love Dee! :lovestruc

Oh....Ok. Now I get it :dance3: Thank you!!!

Teena! Loved the pictures!!! I also love those birds that were hanging out in front of your house!! When I stayed down at a relatives house (also Disney cast members :good vibes) a few years back I got such a kick out of those birds! The sounds they make are so cool. Unfortunately I don't think they liked me so much....they ran away every chance they got!:confused3

My sand hill cranes are so funny. They eat out of my hand and I can pet them. Not Bob though ... they don't run away but they don't run up to him like they do with me. They hang out all day with us and when the food is gone or they want fresh water, they literally peck at the metal part of our lanai door and make a horrible noise until I go running out to take care of them. We have a friend come in once a day to take care of our 3 kittys and also to give the cranes fresh water and loads of food while we are gone. They absolutely love the bowl of fresh water every day. I really enjoy them.

Ok, now that you get it... Would you like to get on it? What are your checkin and check out dates? Which resort?

Ok, I'm curious....what is this LIST that I've been hearing so much about? :rolleyes1

Um... I thought the secret list was who got the room with Matthew McConaughey or Johnny Depp in it.

Shhh, that is the secret list. I was just trying to throw Lizziedog off.

Don't tell MM anything you want to keep secret.

TAKE A PICTURE OF THE PAPER WITH YOUR CAMERA, MAKE SURE IT'S PICTURE #1

....and you're doing this so that people can look at your pictures if they should find your LOST camera and see "Oh look, now I can call this guy and return his camera!"

The CM's at the lost and found are always heartbroken when somebody turns in a camera and they can't find the person who lost it because there is no contact information on the camera.

Now you're talking! Lost camera tips and ideas are my specialty. Here is something I wrote and is posted on the FAQ of another travel message board (yes, sometime I stray...):

The first picture I take on my digital camera card is a photo of my name, phone number and e-mail address. I figure if I lose my camera, and it is found, most people will make and honest effort to try to return it if it is not too much work for them (yes, I also have my ID in the camera case). Just thought I would share.
The second pic can be of the resort/hotel/address/phone # and dates we're staying there.

Have you guys seen this? "You must have found my camera"

MM, I loved that camera advice about taking the picture of your address! Brilliant idea!

It was a cold, rainy and miserable day today and I am so busy that I may have to pull close to an all nighter tonight. Sigh. I am WAY too old for that stuff but there are literally not enough hours in the day. On days like this, I am dreaming about our first BC stay. Look at that red Mickey go on my ticker!!! Before too long it will be in front of Spaceship Earth.

Did anyone else see the Cake Boss from last night where he made the MK castle cake for his DD? He was at the YC and talked about it, and they showed Food and Wine. Looked awesome and made me excited to go!!!

:lmao::rotfl2::lmao::rotfl::lmao:

You mean like you're the one that washes her bloomers in the sink with resort shampoo?? You mean like THAT????

That's what they call them up in Canada right?.....BLOOMERS!!!

In jersey we call them grannie panties, big old white ones that cover a multitude of sins...

This Canadian prefers the term "Knickers", as in "Don't get your knickers in a knot."

:lmao:

I don't know why there's a sad mad face... Anyway

Hi!! We're here!! Long long long day! I arrived at JFK this morning at 5:30am checked my bag and got on line for security... EVERYONE was body scanned so it took an hour to get through. Once through I headed to the gate... Then came the announcement we would be waiting for 80 band kids on their way from Pa. to JFK to fly to Orlando for a competition ... Right away I was like WOW 80 kids shoot me!! They had bus problems and we would wait...then we found out they were 2 hours away so we would leave them and off we went!! I arrived in Orlando 20 mins late to a very happy to see me daughter! We headed to the magical express and were loaded on about 15 mins later. First stop Floridian then Wilderness, Poly and finally BLT. Room not ready so we headed to Dolphin to pick up the rental car... Received a double upgrade! Still no text of the room being ready so off to downtown Disney for the always say we're going to have Ghiradelli ice cream sundae and never do (soo good). Walked around and finally at about 3:30 got the text room was ready (first 2 days at BLT). We're on the 12th floor overlooking the marina/pool very nice view and I don't see bugs!! We had a 5 o'clock ressie at Cape May (never ate there before). Was ok... then we delivered a dis pin to YC and one to BC for 2 disers who asked me to bring them with me. By now we were both really tired so came back to BLT to have a glass of wine at the rooftop lounge. Now both of us are in bed (comfy :thumbsup2:thumbsup2). Tomorrow we have a 9am ressie at the Wave.

So that was our first day! I'll post again tomorrow night!

Night nite!

~Nannette

I am getting really excited for our first holiday visit coming up! We are surprising our little ones and can't wait to see their reaction. It's been really tough to keep it a secret and I almost slipped several times.

Speaking of our trip we leave Kentucky in under 20 days!!! Normally by now I have the bags partly packed, shirts made, all lists made and printed, and directions printed out for our dogs nanny. I am soooo far behind! I just got shirts made last week! i just feel like time is all of a sudden racing up on me.

I really need to get off these boards and get my packing starting!

:yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:

I arrive before you and haven't packed or made shirts (our first time for this). I am not sure what to pack, as I keep hearing December weather is unpredictable. I was holding out until a few days before.

MM- great camera tip about the picture of your information.

We are currently trying to decide between YC or BC for my 40th b-day. What are the main differences? I think we are going to splurge for Club Level. It will be myself, DH and DD 4. Thanks in advance for any advice!!

I used to live in central Florida and have been there at Christmas. I usually pack jeans, homemade matching t-shirts, a light wieght hoded jacket, and swimming stuff. I put light gloves in my jacket because my hands get cold real quick. I found out that the weather can be cold in the morning, warm in the day and cool at night. So jeans and t shirts with hoody jackets. Hope that helps.

Hello all! We'll be back at BC 12/18-22. Really looking forward to being there at the holidays again.

Ok to bring outsiders to the campfire? I am planning on meeting up with a local friend and her 2 little ones while we are in the world. I was thinking we could all get together at the campfire on the beach. Would this be ok?

My thoughts on your questions based on what
I've read here on this thread:

As always...Great answers Katesdad!

You tell that Joeseph that he better remember that camera. :thumbsup2 When he comes back I'll show him how to set up a flickr account (free!) so he can share his pictures with us.

Thanks for all the photo advice MM. I copied and saved your earlier advice and now will add this. I went to local bookstore to buy Understanding Exposure this week and they were out. (Had everything else but I need basics.) Once again. Thanks.

Welcome KAA1972...And of course everyone here thinks you made a wonderful choice and can't go wrong either way.

Inside the rooms not much different. YC has more full balconies. BC closer to EPCOT. Each resort has different layouts and configurations once inside the rooms.

YC lobby quieter. BC has Cape May Restaurant and people waiting for seats often fill the lobby. BC has Marketplace and one of my favorite sitting areas in all WDW, The Solarium! Club Level very good at both. Same food.

And if you haven't been there go to page 1 and check out all the great information our supreme leader Dee has put together.
