I would love to know also! I will be there the 12th and 13th then moving to okw, I hope the singing will be going on also!
Speaking of our trip we leave Kentucky in under 20 days!!! Normally by now I have the bags partly packed, shirts made, all lists made and printed, and directions printed out for our dogs nanny. I am soooo far behind! I just got shirts made last week! i just feel like time is all of a sudden racing up on me.
So we decided to cancel Ohana's dinner and stay around the BC. Arrival at BC hopefully in the morning by 9am or so. Get checked in and explore the hotel. Eat lunch at maybe ESPN or just by the pool from Hannas. Swimming all day. Go to the room shower and change and dinner at Cape May! Probley won't make the camp fire but will try to make the movie on the beach. Bed before 11pm to start early at Epcot!!!!
i can't believe how close we are to our trip! Especially Joeseph's dream stay at BCV! He is so excited he is finishing up all his 2nd week school work quickly (homeschooled) and well. His room is completly clean, he is starting to make piles of clothes he wants to where. And makes me check the boards every day to see if mm has posted something funny and if there is anything new. Oh ya and he can't wait to give Ms. Teena a big huge!
I really need to get off these boards and get my packing starting!

You tell that Joeseph that he better remember that camera.

When he comes back I'll show him how to set up a flickr account (free!) so he can share his pictures with us.
He'll need to do a camera checklist so he doesn't forget to pack anything.
1
Camera
2
battery for camera
3
recharger and cord for camera battery and cord to connect the camera to a lap top computer
4
flash and other lenses and camera accessories if you have them
5 a
bag to carry your camera stuff
6 A
tripod if you have one including the mounting plate. You would need a tripod if you were going to take fireworks pictures at night or take pictures of the Osborne Christmas lights at Hollywood Studios. Everybody forgets the mounting plate which is the piece that screws into the camera bottom and clips into the tripod top.
7 a
remote release (if you have one) to trigger the shutter if you are using the tripod and taking pictures like the ones above.

Trash bags, like the 13 gallon kitchen trash can size. Yes that's right, you heard me... TRASH BAGS, so if it rains cats and dogs or if you go down Splash Mountain or Pirates of the Caribbean, which people are now getting wet on for some reason, you can put your camera bag in the trash bag and keep the whole kit and kaboodle dry.

Memory cards Now this last part is tricky so please pay careful attention. I'm talking Memory cards here. Unless you are downloading your pictures to a lap top every night (could take about 30 minutes) you need to make sure that you have enough space on the cards to take and store your pictures. The cheaper alternative is to take the lap top and download the pictures EVERY NIGHT so you have them and then you can format your memory card and start fresh with camera picture storage in the morning.
The other thing you might want to do is get extra memory cards for your camera if you can't take a lap top computer.
Be sure to follow the camera's manufacturers recommendations on which size (gigabytes) and speed (speed = class, for example class 6) that your camera needs. Get a card that's too slow and you might have problems with your camera, too fast and you are wasting your money because the camera can only write to the card at a certain speed and if you exceed that speed (meaning Class rating) you'll pay too much money for something you can't use. If you get a memory card that is too large it might cause your camera slow down in between shots while the processor hunts for an empty spot on the cards memory to write the picture data.
OK, so that should just about cover it. Here's a trick us seasoned pro's use to make sure we set up our camera correctly and don't forget anything.
Before you pack your camera away for the trip write your name and contact information down in large print on a piece of paper. You might want to put THIS CAMERA BELONGS TO: JOESEPH LAST NAME and that you are staying on Orlando from Dec X to Dec Y. Put a cell phone # on the sheet where you can be contacted when you are down in Orlando. You don't have to put where you are staying, the above info should be fine.
Now here comes the next part....
are you ready????
You're going to LOVE this.....
TAKE A PICTURE OF THE PAPER WITH YOUR CAMERA, MAKE SURE IT'S PICTURE #1
....and you're doing this so that people can look at your pictures if they should find your LOST camera and see "Oh look, now I can call this guy and return his camera!"
The CM's at the lost and found are always heartbroken when somebody turns in a camera and they can't find the person who lost it because there is no contact information on the camera.
The other thing that I do is go to the Pet store. They have those machines that make the dog tags while you wait. I engrave one of them with my contact info and attach it to my camera strap. I use my address at home but I put my cell phone # on it which I take down to Florida.
I have dog tags on all my camera equipment. If people looked closely enough they would think I escaped from the pound!
The other reason is that you are checking to see if you remembered the battery, and memory card. A million people have left the house with the battery still in the charger and the memory card on the desk. If you are able to take a picture then you are set to go.... right. (I know, I'm brilliant aren't I

)
Memory cards cost a fortune at Disney so plan ahead.
Walmart sells 'em cheaper but sometimes you have to go on a treasure hunt to find the ones that work with your camera. YOU ARE GOING TO BE TAKING A MILLION PICTURES so
think ahead about how many memory cards you need to take if you are not using the lap top download method.
Ok so that's enough for now from me. Joeseph I am putting you in charge of the family camera and picture taking. You do such a good job I can't wait to see what you capture with that camera. If you have any questions be sure to let me know and I'll help you.
My last piece of advice is to read your camera manual. Understanding a little bit more about how the camera operates will help you, but keep in mind a camera manual is the most frustrating thing in the world to read so it's not you that is having trouble. Another book I'd HIGHLY recommend is Bryan Peterson's "Understanding Exposure". this book has all the information about understanding the principles of photography. Read this book and it will unlock a whole new world of photography for you.
What are you waiting for sweetie?? GET CRACKIN!!

Oh and one more thing,
right before you leave your hotel room for the parks take another picture of that paper with your contact information on it. Look at the picture on your camera to make sure it came out. After you've formatted the memory card, which is AFTER you've downloaded and
saved your pictures to a lap top that first picture will be gone, so you'll need to take another one.... and you'll be making sure that the battery isn't in the charger and the memory card is IN the camera!
