2011 Yacht & Beach Club FAQ, Part III- DO NOT POST HERE- Summer/Fall

I had several during our September trip and one of the bartenders commented to my DH that it was an oldie, but goodie! Definitely a goodie!!

I had a wonderful opportunity come my way last week....one of my coworkers and her DH are going to be at OKW from Dec. 4-11. Their friends who were supposed to be joining them have had to cancel, and they're DVC members and have a 2 BR villa reserved, so she asked me if I would be interested.....uh, YES! So I will be joining them from Dec. 4-7, thanks to AirTran's sale last week, and my wonderful DH who was feeling guilty about his upcoming Vegas trip with his friends in Feb. Now I'm just trying to talk another coworker into joining the fun, and trying to not feel guilty about leaving the kids at home. Guess that just means they'll have extra stocking stuffers and presents this year.

I'm sad that I won't be staying at BC, but my friend has an ADR at the Captain's Grille on our arrival day, so I'm hoping I can pop in to say Hi to Teena that afternoon or Monday, if she's not already headed to see Princess Lily! I love the Halloween pic! DD8 and DS3 were both dalmatians for Halloween when they were around 3, and DS3 still loves to dress up in the costume!

That's fantastic news!!! I'll be working 12/4 and 12/5 and heading to Princess Lily's on 12/6. I won't miss any work in December because I'm just going Tuesday to Saturday to visit her royal princess.

I heard they took these off the menu. I will be there a week from Sunday, so I will check it out though to see if that's true.

Oh I hope not. I have been checking out all the menus (kinda slow here at work lately!!!) and I was really hoping to try these. They sound fantastic!! Just my kind of breakfast .

Hello to everyone It has been a rough few months here and I have a lot of reading to do to catch up ( at BCV on the 4th) and will still be reading when I sit my bum on that plane in the early am. I was wondering about the BC Holiday decorations, we usually go Halloween week and have never seen the carousel or all the decor up. When do they have it up ? We will be there the 4th - 12th.

A little fairy with pixie dust that flies around all the time told me she thinks it might be around the 17th this year at the Y&B.

Are you talking about the BC/YC pins shown on Page 1?

If so, Nannette is the one you want to contact about those, but I would suggest that you wait until the end of November because she is currently in moving h#ll and then will be headed out for a most amazing Disney trip.

YES Moving HELL!!! But I keep the pins and supplies to mail them at work so I have them all the time!! So anyone who wants them should PM me and I'll mail them out. I will be out of work most of next week for the "OFFICIAL" move date! This will not be to soon as DH (DAMN Husband) is selling my furniture out from under me!!!

Yep, I'll be there tomorrow, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Then we leave next Saturday for the cruise and I won't be back to work until November 20th.

Just checking in after several days away - happy to see all the ADR and planning fun going on here! Dee, I posted these after our August stay, but they may have been lost in the shuffle:

Robyn, we stayed at the Dolphin briefly in May. It was a non-parks stay on our way to the airport from my parents' condo in SW Florida (although I guess it really doesn't take multiple nights and two full days to get the airport, right?) In any event, I think it's a good option for Epcot area resort fans looking for a lower-cost alternative. You get an amazing location at a lower cost and you can still take advantage of everything at BC except SAB. When we stayed there, we were over at BC and BWI quite a bit. We even chose to eat breakfast at BC Marketplace over all the other Epcot resort breakfast options (and loved it!) Sorry to hear about the not-so-good news, and hoping you'll be able to start your planning soon!

Quick question. We really want to try to get another day ticket to go to Epcot on Dec. 13th. Because we bought the DVC this year instead of the package we cut back and only have 3 tickets from a pervious trip. I have gone online and for just the three of us 1 day base ticket is 272.00. Anyone know a reliable cheaper place I can get a day ticket?

Well, sorry (a little ) to say, we will need to be taken off the list for Dec. Our DS just called and said as an intern he got a great, new rate, and that the Poly was on the list. So, we are bailing from the YC to the Poly. We were looking forward to staying at the YC, but the Poly has been our favorite since we first stayed there. We just love the theming at the Poly, have ever since our honeymoon to Hawaii a long time ago. Have a great day !!

If the tickets are partially used (I think that's what they meant) and first used more than 14 days ago, they can't add any days. I assume they are non-expiring tickets.

(If the tickets were never used, then Teena's idea is the right one.)

There really are not any discounts for 1 day tickets. Often the resellers even charge a slight premium because Disney doesn't discount them to the resellers.

I would price out the tickets you actually need (sounds like a 4 day) and consider buying those and saving those partially used ones for a future trip that is only going to be 3 days long.
