Arriving at YC tomorrow for 10 days!!!! Woot woot!!!!!!

Have a wonderful trip.

:grouphug:Teena, wishing you well today and hope you are feeling better. Lots of love and prayers are coming your way.:grouphug:

Does anyone know if the quiet pool at the YC is considered pool view? If so I am going to call and request that we not be facing the quiet pool. TIA.:flower3:

:thumbsup2 & Thanks!

I wondered about the photo thing but thought it was free so I was confused. Good to know about preordering. Off to check the links.

lol sorry to confuse you, I'm so used to people saying they ordered the photopass (cd) and knowing what it is.

This is the link for the preorder:

And as a bonus, I will throw in my 2 favorite photopass tips, although a lot of you probably already know this...

Take a picture of the photopass ID number on the back of the card as soon as you get it. If you lose the card, you will have easy access to your photos.

Ask the photographer to take a photo with your camera, too. A lot of times they will offer. Some of the pictures taken of us never made it on our account last year.

YES!! I've heard that taking a picture of any and all the ID numbers you get (I've heard some people end up with multiple cards). I just knew for us the CD would be a better deal as DH is obsessed with picture taking. Though I was going to do snapfish or some place else to do the memory book as and $50 for the Disney one is too expensive to pay.

We're leaving in a few days (BWI, then 3-night Disney Dream, then BC) so I'm checking in on the noodles! If anyone has any tips for a successful swap, that would be great!

We have gaps coming up and a swap from YC (fundisney) to BC CL (me) coming up. Fundisney, please PM to let me know if you had an idea in mind! And I assume we could leave the noodles with bell services when we leave so that DoleWhipMom can pick them up when she arrives - is that right? (We're leaving at 3pm on the 29th and I think DoleWhipMom is now arriving 8/29 later that evening.)

Thank you so much! Just placed my order. I looked and looked but for some reason could not find the place to pre-order, so I really appreciate your help.

Great tips, I will be sure to use them! Off to get the suitcases out of the attic!

Strangely enough at YC the quiet pool views are considered garden view, at BC quiet pool views are considered as waterview.

Pixarmom - Have a wonderful trip!!!!

Teena - sending hugs and saying prayers for a speedy recovery - enough is enough! BTW Lilly is gorgeous!

Thanks so much.:flower3: That's what I was thinking considering the location of the quiet pool but I was on this one web site that had the quiet pool marked water view. :confused3

At YC the pool is on the frontside (?) and will face trees at BC the quiet pool is in the back and faces the lagoon and maybe kinda SAB.
At least that is what it looks like on the map....I'll tell you for sure in September ;) or one of the many experts on the thread will correct me if I'm wrong.

But maybe the view is more about what's beyond the quiet pool then the pool itself.

That's what I was assuming as well but being we have a pool or water view, I got a little nervous. Definitely don't want the quiet pool view.

Teena, I hope everything is OK for you.

I'm still waffling about upgrading to CL. Are the rooms quieter than the regular hotel? In my Unofficial Guide, they aren't thrilled with how quiet the BC/YC rooms are.

Oh no Teena :( Praying this passes quickly and you still get to go see Jeanne and Lily!!!! Huge, *gentle* ((((HUGS)))) being sent your way!!!:grouphug:

I hope so...... we just switched our stay from the Poly CL to YC CL and really don't want to deal with noise. We have had some occasional hallway noise at the Poly CL, but nothing from adjoining rooms.

Any YC CL veterans care to comment?

Thanks

We always bring a small portable fan on vacation since we like the white noise when we sleep (or rather are trying to fall asleep). Noisy neighbors are noisy neighbors, however, whether you are staying CL, non CL, mod or at a value. I didn't find the YC to be any more or less quiet than anywhere else. I will say, however, that I generally find the deluxe hotels to be more "protected" from hallway noise than the mods or values, simply because of the room layout (bathroom/closet in the front, beds in the back).

I've always been a fan of Unofficial Guide, but for both the WDW and the DL versions, there are comments or bits of advice that just don't fit with our personal experience. This is one of those things! I've stayed at BC multiple times since 1992 (just 14 months after it opened!) and we've never experienced any problems with noise in the rooms/hallways. All of our visits have been during the months of January, February or March and once in July. Our BC CL stay was in a deluxe room, so it was on the 4th floor - again, no noise.

I didn't see anyone respond to your question. It has been over a year since I used a taxi between BC and CR and BC and the Poly, but at the time, it was under $20 plus tip.

Perhaps someone who has done this more recently can chime in with their experience.

We took a cab from Beach Club to Poly for our early breakfast and it was $13.50. Plus tip. Must be close to amt for Beach Club to Contemp since they are so close by.

Hello Teena! We just returned from our first ever BC stay and missed meeting you. Although my youngest daughter loved trading pins with Richard many times this week. We are sending prayers for a speedy recovery:grouphug:.

I would like to know who I could contact at BC about a problem or two we encountered while checking in. We were passed around on the phone from person to person and I would like to voice my opinion to an actual supervisor so this doesn't happen to another guest.

Trip was magnificent although weather was VERY hot! It doesn't help that I'm a person who sweats alot!! SAB was amazing although a bit too warm. Quiet pool was very nice and one evening we forced ourselves into the hot tub to help ease our sore muscles although it was very warm outside.

Any questions??? I would LOVE to be of some help to another DISer as I have always found excellent advice on this board. We participated in the noodle swap and would like everyone to know there is also a small bag of beach toys that come along with the five noodles.

Sent you a PM. So sorry you had a problem or two!!!

I agree that SAB is amazing. I am really hoping Bob and I will get there for our replacement anniversary trip in a few weeks.

I have a question about SAB. Since it has a lazy river can you rent tubes there? If so - how much are they? Thanks!
