Hey pals ... I'm back from the cruise and the medical appointments before the cruise.
Here's what's happening:
Got a good report from kidney doctor.
Mayo Clinic ... they found a "suspicious area" and I had to have a biopsy on Friday (day before the cruise). So, I was on the Disney Magic for 7 nights not knowing whether the cancer had returned. I still managed to have a ball and enjoyed the cruise. Bob and I read, slept, swam, got suntan, ate way too much and relaxed big time. On Friday we had a perfect day at
Castaway Cay!!!! I was on my floaty in the ocean most of the day. Was suppose to hear from my surgeon at home on Saturday afternoon when we returned from the cruise but didn't get the call.
Went to work Sunday and met some great disers!!! No call from surgeon at home.
Today at the Beach Club, Bob called and left me a message saying there was a message on the answering machine at home from the surgeon to call her. I called from the Beach Club and she was with a patient and then had to go into surgery. I left the surgeon the phone number in the back office and alerted the back office CMs that hopefully the surgeon would be calling for me. She called at 1:30 with the news that the biopsy came back benign. What a relief. I cried happy tears and spent the rest of the day in the lobby with the biggest smile ever on my face. She said "see you in six months".
Thanks to everyone for all your support this year and your prayers. There aren't words to really express how much you have meant to me and how much you have helped!!!!!
