Has anyone every stayed in an accessible room at the yacht club? We have one booked for 1 night at the end of the month (before our cruise) and just wondering about other's experiences.

thanks.

We've not had an accessible room on the YC side but did many years ago at BC. As Teena said, ours had two queens. It also had a daybed as we were a family of 5. First floor and quite close to the lobby. Ours did have a rollin shower. The bathroom was very spacious. Our DD was still young then so we didn't need all that space in the bath but think it would have been very easy for her to use now as an adult.

Sorry, no photos (what a surprise there to those who know me ;)) but we ordered it a couple years ago for our last breakfast on the deluxe dining plan. It was a wonderful way to end that trip.

How many dining credits did you redeem for it?

Just found this thread! Love it!

Dee, Oreo is adorable! We have an old 14 year old dog, two cats, a hamster and a lizard. It's all very "Wild Kingdom" around here... :lmao: Be super careful with the predator/prey thing - it's wicked!

Guys! We were on page 2 :scared1:

Sorry Jen, no can do! Maybe I should put up a disclaimer prior to uploading more pictures:

Warning- the following pictures may induce maternal yearnings...

But I have my own announcement to share- there will be a new arrival to my family- I'm letting the :cat: out of the bag so to speak:

We will be adopting Oreo next week. :lovestruc She is the cutie on the right. She is currently being fostered by Ben's Science teacher. Ben better get an "A" in class this year!!!

It will be nice to have another girl around- currently my household consists of me, my husband, two sons and two male gerbils.

Congrats on the new family member!

I have one too! We just got a 12 week old Poodle/Yorkie cross to add to our fur family of 1 yellow lab and 2 cats :goodvibes

Hey pals ... I'm back from the cruise and the medical appointments before the cruise.

Here's what's happening:

Got a good report from kidney doctor.

Mayo Clinic ... they found a "suspicious area" and I had to have a biopsy on Friday (day before the cruise). So, I was on the Disney Magic for 7 nights not knowing whether the cancer had returned. I still managed to have a ball and enjoyed the cruise. Bob and I read, slept, swam, got suntan, ate way too much and relaxed big time. On Friday we had a perfect day at Castaway Cay!!!! I was on my floaty in the ocean most of the day. Was suppose to hear from my surgeon at home on Saturday afternoon when we returned from the cruise but didn't get the call.

Went to work Sunday and met some great disers!!! No call from surgeon at home.

Today at the Beach Club, Bob called and left me a message saying there was a message on the answering machine at home from the surgeon to call her. I called from the Beach Club and she was with a patient and then had to go into surgery. I left the surgeon the phone number in the back office and alerted the back office CMs that hopefully the surgeon would be calling for me. She called at 1:30 with the news that the biopsy came back benign. What a relief. I cried happy tears and spent the rest of the day in the lobby with the biggest smile ever on my face. She said "see you in six months".

Thanks to everyone for all your support this year and your prayers. There aren't words to really express how much you have meant to me and how much you have helped!!!!!

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: great news Teena! So happy for you. And glad you were able to enjoy the cruise even though you were in limbo.

Thank you all for the nice comments about Oreo! It has been over 10 years since we have had a cat. I was expecting Ben at the time that our last cat died, so I have been raising different types of critters since then. We are all very excited!

YAY, just noticed youve started 2012 Noodle Swap.

Do you think "The Noodle Family" would like to spend some quality time with their cousins from across the pond May 25th-June 8th ? Im sure they'll have a jolly good time:yay:

If the Noodle family have not been, ahem, retired by then, I will totally be down with a noodle swap! May 1st to 11th!

:love::love::love::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::yay::yay::yay:

Trying to update the Page 1 Guest List and Noodle Swap info.

I'll add you to 2012 Noodle Club, with hopes that it is not just random bits of colored foam you are signing up for by then. :goodvibes

Everyone else, please take a moment to look at the Page 1 Guest List to see if you are listed correctly (or even at all)! I fear that I once again may have missed one or two of our new posters in the last week or so. Thread has moved wicked fast lately!

BUMP

Going back through a few pages of the thread- I didn't see a response to this. Anyone know?

A question for those that have stayed at the Y&B Club.

I have some Door Decorations that I am wondering how to attach to the room door.

Are the doors metal? (I'm thinking magnets)

Is Disney OK with the 3M 'Command' hooks on the doors?

Rivets? :scared1:

Thanks about the bathroom info - with the wheelchair, that's using our prime concern (almost everything else we can work around but not that!).

Special services said they blocked the room with a king bed and day bed. If it turns out it's two queens, it's no problem so I'll just see what we get when we get there.

thanks for everyone's help with this one.
