Would anyone like *my* help with the bounce back clock??
Just wondering.

Marlton Mom
:rotfl2:

I think I will have a couple of photo missions for you, if you choose to accept them. I am keeping a list of photos I want, but I keep forgeting where I am keeping the list! So I forgot to ask Pixarmom to take at least one photo.

I would like a photo of the outside of the Solarium. I'm sure there will be a couple more I will realize I need before you go.

Thanks!

Dee

PS- You can have my Fast Pass for the Son of Citation Ride.

I used to like the "slippery slope" ride, but lately it has been going downhill for me.

Hope to pay you back for your help by trying to answer your questions, but I was very scared at first at your question. I read "I'm on a plane from NY arriving at 8:45. An ME bus arrives from the opposite direction, going 50 miles an hour. What is the name of the driver?"

Sorry, too much homework tonight!

I am literally doing this right now: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Thanks for the answers!

There's a picture of the outside of the Solarium in this post. http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=40738041&postcount=1165

I don't know if he posts over here though.

That is EXACTLY the shot I want (although I would prefer a daytime shot). I didn't even know I wanted this picture until I saw it on the photo thread, but he hasn't posted here, so I don't know him and didn't want to ask for use of his photo.

I have been trying really hard not to post pics to the front page without permission.

Thanks!

I'll trade you upkeep and maintenance of the noodle list while I AM GONE FOR ANY PHOTO/other missions you wish to bestow upon moi!

Sorry about THE SCREAMING. If I ever find the idiot who put the Caps lock button next to the shift button I'm going to throttle him/her!

Hi everyone!! We just checked in to Beach Club club level today!!! The club staff is amazing, and couldn't ask for anything else of them!

Here's my first review...pros...
Resort is beautiful
Staff is superb
LOVE that it's so close to epcot!!
Club level delivered a sweet balloon bouquet for our dd's bday.

Cons...
We are garden view, but most of my view is of the roof overhanging the main lobby/ courtyard...we have garden across from us and under us, with stormalong bay through the trees, and the lagoon way off to the right. I'm sure if I would've paid the extra next time around for the better view (but the full balcony is great!)
We had trouble with our dining plan already! Tutto charged us 2 delux credits for our 2 yr olds spaghetti! (club level fixed it rather quickly)
We also are the closest room to the lounge, which originally was great until 10pm when we tried to lay down, it was sooo loud. ( in fact, someone was screaming down the hall at 1am, which is why I'm up)
Magical express was disappointing that port Orleans riverside shares a bus with yacht/beach/boardwalk...and they dropped them off first

Overall club level has been worth it for us just for the extra peace of mind of having someone to work things out for us. Oh and Yachtsman steakhouse was delicious!! We loved it!!

We'll check back in soon!

Hi Jenn- thanks for your live review! That is some expensive spaghetti!

Enjoy your stay!!! I hope you have decent weather and quiet neighbors for the remainder of your trip.

I found my list!!!

Here are some of the photos I am looking for:

Cinderumbrella- Bounceback Clock offer in room

Marlton Mom-
Solarium from the Outside
Room safe with item in it to show size (folder, phone, ipod)- Bonus points for dimensions!

Up for grabs:

Rollaway Cot set up in room

Room fridge with item(s) in it to show size. Bonus points for a half-gallon of milk or juice in the fridge

Beaches and Cream Burger Meal

Hurricane Hanna's Burger Meal

Steak Entree from Yachtsman- do they have you pick out your piece of steak at this restaurant or am I dreaming this? Is there a display of steak that would make a good photo, or is that too "rare" for public viewing?

Dessert from Yachtsman

Note on Dining and SAB photos. I am at the max for picture allotments in those posts, so I can't guarantee that I will be able to use all of the photos up on the front board until I decide what to give the boot!

Beach Club Villas

I would love to have a few room photos of the different type of rooms- kitchens, sitting areas, bedrooms, etc. Please state room category.

A few photos from around BCV- I haven't been in the villas, so I don't know what to ask for, but there is that cute little "nook" room, the one with bookshelves and stuff, maybe in the lobby??? That would be cool!

You can post the photos to the thread, direct me to a Photobucket account or photos posted on the DIS, or PM me or private e-mail me. There is an option when you click on my screenname to "send e-mail to this poster". This option works well for me because my PMs are back at 98% (must clean this out!), but please note that the e-mail method will disclose your e-mail address to me.

I have photos of steak dinners at yachtsmen and have a crib set up in room if you need a photo of that!!

Oh and we didn't get to pick out steaks or get the speil about the different types but with a two year old we were a bit hurried. I saw other people do it though!

I can take the refrigerator and the Beaches and Cream, Dee.
Also, probably Hurricane Hannahs.

Great, Amanda! But seriously, don't go out of your way if these are not already in your plans or if your plans change- there are others out there who can provide the photos now or in the future!

PS- Please leave the refrigerator in the room! :upsidedow I would hate to have to to bail you out... hmmm... but then I would be in Orlando...

Awesome! When you get back, I would love the crib photo and pictures from the Yachtsman. Thanks!

Robyn: Sounds great about the mini Dis meet, will it be in the solarium again?

natebenma: So you have a fourth grader too....hhhmmmm.....sounds like this dessert party celebration in 12 years could be a Dis meet itself!!!

I've always said that when I retire what I'd really LOVE to do is move to Florida and plan everyone else's vacations!!!!!!!!!

Your vacation looked fabulous! your room celebrations and dessert party were awesome...what a great treat!!!!

i too have a 4th grader... count us in on the dessert party celebration....in 12 years;)

Looking forward to the meet!

Congrats Teena on your achievement!!

loving all the new pictures...cant wait to be back....48 days!!:cool1:

Teena, congratulations on your award. Very exciting and so well deserved! Take care of yourself.

YCFan, amazing celebrations. :cool1: Thanks for sharing the great photos.:surfweb:

Robyn, what a wonderful vacation you have planned. BTW, loved the look of the cabanas at the Polynesian.

Hi BCV :wave2: I was curious too about the crowds leaving the parks and returning to YC/BC resorts... Not a fan of the end of the night crush...:headache:

Hi Blue Skies. :wave2: Leaving Epcot through IG is a delight. No crush and the lights along the canal and lake make it all so lovely. Have fun!

No need to pack extra towels, they are provided at Stormalong Bay.

Hmmm- does anyone know if there are towels provided at the quiet pools? There are no lifeguards- are there any CMs stationed there?

Towels are provided at the BCV pool. No lifeguards or CMs stationed there but there are often CMs in the area. Maintenance is pretty much constant, security strolls by, etc..

Can you zoom in on this and tell me what flavors of iced tea there are? Last year at AKL they had a great White Tea with Citrus, so I'm hoping it's at BC too!

It's there! Enjoy!:coffee:

We are back from our Beach Club/Yacht Club split stay. I will give a full report later on.

We booked the bounceback for the monday after thanksgiving. Will the carousel be up by then? I havent gone that early before. We usually go in december.

Over the years, we've gone the first week after Thanksgiving quite a few times. All decorations have been up by then. So lovely. It's a great time to visit.

I'm in!!! And I actually have hope that my fourth grader will graduate from college.

The other one, not sure if he is going to make it out of 7th grade :sad2: Back from the long weekend he has a report due and 3 tests/quizzes tomorrow! He has to do work citations for his report, and it appears he was absent the day they explained the citation machine generator, so we (yes we) had to wing it. This was after I spent 45 minutes working on slope with him for his math test.

Yes, solarium for the DIS meet. I have been trimming up for my appearance. In fact if you look straight at me, I am so thin you can barely see me!

I need to try the "Flat Robyn" approach. I'm so sick of dieting that I think that is my last resort!!!!

This will make you feel better about your 7th grader:

DS just graduated cum laude from Law School. He graduated summa cum laude from college with a double degree in International Relations and French and a minor in History. He was selected all four years to represent his college in the college bowl. He was the President of the College Democrats. He did Habitat for Humanity all four years of college, giving up his Spring break.
I tell you these facts not to brag but to let you know there is hope.

He is the same ds that:

1. In 7th grade was invited to a party of a new boy in school. Turns out he knew how to get to the development but did not bring the address with the invitation, nor the phone number. We drove around for 30 minutes before he "spotted their car".

2. Also in 7th grade won his grade level prize for the creativity fair. This is a big production here and all the Catholic grammar schools compete. We did not attend the awards because ds "forgot" to bring home the paper even telling us he won the award. I discovered it in his backpack a month later when they had to clear out their lockers. Of course now DH and I looked like horrible parents. Did I mention that I was PTA Vice President when this happened?

3. DS was on the wrestling team in high school. That alone was a horror worthy of its own thread. DS is 5'8" and all of 117 lbs. Argued with me (with a straight face) that he couldn't believe that I would give him money for college but wouldn't, instead, give him the money to go to wrestling school to become a professional wrestler. At his Law School graduation last week we had a ball saying - hmm professional wrestler v. lawyer. Guess we made the right decision.

4. Junior year in college he was setting up his study abroad in Paris. Calls me one night to tell me that instead of going to Paris (did I say majored in French) he was thinking of doing his study abroad either in S. Korea or Israel because a girl (he met that night) told him that S. Korea study abroad was "cool" and he thought it would be "neat" to go to Israel. Of course these was when tensions were high between Israel and Lebanaon.

I ended up hanging up on him that night because I couldn't believe that he was taking the word of a girl HE JUST MET THAT NIGHT over someone who had cared and loved him for 21 years.

Needless to say he did the study abroad in Paris - where he felt the need to only contact us twice. Once when he got there and the second time a few days before he left to make sure we would be picking him up at the airport!

5. Told everyone in hearing distance on his Law School Graduation day that he looked like a "wizard" in the strange hat and gown and pretendeed to put spells on his brothers.

6. Favorite graduation picture was the one the night of the "cap and gown party" standing in front of a pile of Margarita glasses. Most prized posession when he came home from college was his beer pong table.

Through all this he is a terrific kid with a great heart!

So Dee - don't worry - your ds will go to college and still manage to make you shake your head and drive you crazy.

So Dee - don't worry - your ds will go to college and still manage to make you shake your head and drive you crazy.

Ummmm- that was a pep talk to make me feel better!?!

Thank you. He is a good kid, but his disorganization, and refusal to care about it, exasperate me!

I will share a proud moment with Nate- our middle school has grades 5-8. When Nate was a 5th grader, he came in second place (to an 8th grader) in the school Geography Bee. The Vice Principal made a big deal that in his entire career, a student that young had never gone that far in the competition. So I was all pumped for the next year- Bee came and went and I never heard anything about the contest- I asked Nate about it. "I took a dive on the qualification test." He didn't think he could top his accomplishment.

And yes, I am well known by teachers and staff at both of my kids' schools- I am Treasurer of the PTA and President of the Middle School parents group.

Robyn- we really do have to meet! There is a possibility we will be at the MK on the evening of July 14. Is that your planned early early morning at MK- need to go back and check your schedule.

Dee - we are checking into the Polynesian on July 14th.
The only thing we have scheduled is dinner at Kona.
Let me know your have your schedule and we'll figure out something!

BTW - I have a 7th grade dd who just this minute called me to tell me she
needed lunch money!!!! They have pre-paid cards and she "fogot" to tell me that her account ran out yesterday. Luckily for her I have to go by the school on my way to my Mom's house.

My Mom is coming home tomorrow! I'm going over today to get her bedroom ready. We have one of those stair lift chairs installed and my two sisters and I will be taking turns to make sure someone is always with her.

No one knows how long we will have but she really, really just wanted to come home so we are very excited.
