Pixarmom - Wow! Great job on the photos. I'm afraid the cms at the BC Marketplace are going to start thinking you are a spy - after your fabulous job on the Marketplace Mission!

It's SO funny you mention that. I was thinking the CMs in the Marketplace were going to report me or something! I very rarely take photos of scenery, food, etc. without friends/family members in them, so I was thinking this looked particularly funny!

So sorry about the KLP at Captain's Grille - I was really hoping for a different answer for you! :)

Can you zoom in on this and tell me what flavors of iced tea there are? Last year at AKL they had a great White Tea with Citrus, so I'm hoping it's at BC too!

I tried to zoom and there is some strange glare on the flavors - sorry! I do know that one of the labeled squares is white, so that could be a good sign!

Would you by any chance remember what the dates were for the BounceBack?
Thanks!

I have the card here at home and I took a photo but photobucket can't seem to pick it up. I'll try again later. Meanwhile, here are the remaining dates for 2011:

5/31 - 6/4
8/21 - 10/8
10/23 - 10/29
11/13 - 11/19
11/27 - 12/3
12/11 - 12/17

I was really happy to see this! We already booked our pre-cruise BWI stay and our post-cruise BC CL stay in August. This prompted us to switch our BWI standard reservation to CL - very excited! (We could have applied the 40% bounceback to our BC CL stay, but we would have to give up our garden view!)

P.S. YC Fan, I absolutely love those photos! And Disney Florist did an amazing job - what instructions did you give them?

Wow! YC fan, what a great trip you gave your family!! :goodvibes

One question : was the Pirate Dessert Party at Epcot a grand gathering celebration you signed up for? Or something like the Wishes Dessert Party that anyone can book? And how did you go about booking it?

Thanks for the info!

I actually went through Disney Events. Anyone can book a dessert party. They have different venues that qualify for different numbers of people and minimums. They range from 10 people to 500 or more. I originally had UK Pubside booked but because I went "all out" they decided even though I only had 8 people (I was paying for a minimum of 10) they were afraid we weren't going to have enough room so they moved us to one of the venues that usually require more people. They weren't worried about it though because I had gone way over the minimums they had given me.

You could actually have a dessert party for as little as a few hundred dollars and of course spend as much as you want also.

It was very special to mark a very special occasion. My sons and my oldest son's friends say they won't forget it. Now I have another son and a niece to plan for!

YCFAN - WOW!

Now why couldn't you have saved this for July when we could have crashed your party?????

My hat is off to you - what a fabulous celebration.

Can't wait to see your Grand 1 pictures.

Now you have to do this all over again when Andrew graduates!
Hmmmm - I think I remember my youngest ds being exactly the same
age as Andrew. We'll have to plan a joint celebration when they
graduate from college - 12 years from now!

Congratulation to your ds - what a wonderful celebration and memory!!!

Yep, 12 more years for Andrew.......sounds like a plan! I'm sure our kids would have a ball!:woohoo:

Goodness I missed yesterday and most of today and had so much reading to catch up on, it took me like over an hour :rotfl:

Great Pics PixarMom !!!!!!!!

I so can not wait until I will be at BC in October :goodvibes

YCFAN - you know how to throw a celebration :thumbsup2

Loved the pics of the lobby noodle face offs :lmao:

You're absolutely right. Coming home from radiation one morning last week, I just missed this one traffic light ... it's so long. So, I put the car in park and rested my head against the door and the next thing I knew the cars behind me were honking ... I fell right asleep. When I'm driving, I'm real careful ... I put my Disney CDs on full blast and sing loudly the whole time I'm driving ... no resting of the eyes!

First I want to say Congratulations on your award from President O'Bama.

Please be safe Teena falling asleep from being exhausted from the radiation scares me to death, I do not know how you have the strength you do with the treatments and work.

*Sigh* I'll be lucky if I get a backyard graduation party next year-I'm jealous! Hmmm...maybe I can talk my mom into something like this when I graduate with my doctoral degree in 2016? :rotfl:

YCFAN - are you up for the mini Dis Meet again this year?
It will be on your arrival day - July 25th at 6:00.
We had so much fun last year, I hope you are able to join us.

Now note to self - do not let DS who just graduated from Law School]
see the fabulous celebration you threw for your son!!!!

It looked like it should be on Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous!!!

I had no idea that you could do the dessert party for so few people.
Sounds like a great place for a Mini Dis Meet next year!!!!

pixarmom: The Disney Florist was great! My event planner (for the dessert party) hooked me up with the manager at Disney Florist through a conference call and I explained that I had already had in-room celebrations in the past and didn't want to repeat the same things. She suggested a custom pirate celebration and I explained the big age difference in my two sons. She then suggested two similar yet age appropriate celebrations all tying in the pirate theme. She sent me a basic outline prior to our coming and I OK'd it but I never imagined it the way it came out. It was overwhelming!! The guys were blown away. I made a couple of suggestions to her but really she just ran with it. I always find that if you let Disney have creative control they always out do your imagination.

Robyn: Sounds great about the mini Dis meet, will it be in the solarium again?

natebenma: So you have a fourth grader too....hhhmmmm.....sounds like this dessert party celebration in 12 years could be a Dis meet itself!!!

I've always said that when I retire what I'd really LOVE to do is move to Florida and plan everyone else's vacations!!!!!!!!!

I'm in!!! And I actually have hope that my fourth grader will graduate from college.

The other one, not sure if he is going to make it out of 7th grade :sad2: Back from the long weekend he has a report due and 3 tests/quizzes tomorrow! He has to do work citations for his report, and it appears he was absent the day they explained the citation machine generator, so we (yes we) had to wing it. This was after I spent 45 minutes working on slope with him for his math test.

Yes, solarium for the DIS meet. I have been trimming up for my appearance. In fact if you look straight at me, I am so thin you can barely see me!

Count me in for the DIS meet in July!!

Citations are no fun. :sad2: But I highly recommend:
Purdue OWL: http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/section/2/
It teaches you how to do them. If you don't have time for that, which it seems you don't if it's due tomorrow, then try:
Son of a Citation Machine: http://citationmachine.net/

Hope that helps and best of luck!

Thanks, that did help. Son of Citation Machine is the one Nate is supposed to use. I played around with it a little just now, so I will have him take a look in the morning. Thanks!

Cinderumbrella- could you take a picture of the bounceback clock in the room. If you don't have one in your room you can call to ask for one (front desk or housekeeping???)

Would anyone like *my* help with the bounce back clock??
Just wondering.

Son of Citation Machine blah, blah, blah...

What park is this ride in and can I ride it?

It Sounds like it's one of those foreign, Universal Studios rides, like something you'd find in Universal Studios 'France' and "Citation" had a son (like Jango Fett) and he has a ride.

Hopefully it's not through a library or a college English department.... That would be a real snoozer if you ask me. Perhaps it's a ride in a Chevy Citation and you're going through a car wash or something.... like a modern day Flume ride only it's popular with germophobes!

Ok, where do I stand in line for this ride? I could cut 20 minutes off of my morning routine if I didn't have to shower before a rope drop. :thumbsup2

OK, I have a very convoluted question(s), so bear with me!

Our plane lands at MCO at 8:45am. I hope to arrive at the resort by 10:30. I'm pretty sure there is no way our studio is going to be ready at that point. After we check in, we are going to store our carry-ons with bell services (our suitcase will be coming via ME). We will then go get lunch at Beaches & Cream around 11.

After lunch we will probably head to the SAB. Our bathing suits will be in the carry on at Bell Services. Can we just stop by, grab our swim stuff, and give the carry on back? It's a rolling one, so I don't really want to take it to the pool with me, but I also feel slightly weird about digging through it in the lobby.

Once at the pool, there is a changing area, correct? Where is it located? Are the lockers free and how big are they?

When our suitcase arrives, I know that will be delivered to the villa. Will they also deliver the carry ons with it automatically or do we need to go get them ourselves?

Sorry for all the questions-I feel like a two year old who asks about everything, but I am a planner!

Hope to pay you back for your help by trying to answer your questions, but I was very scared at first at your question. I read "I'm on a plane from NY arriving at 8:45. An ME bus arrives from the opposite direction, going 50 miles an hour. What is the name of the driver?"

Sorry, too much homework tonight!

I don't see why you couldn't retreive your carryon bags from Bell Services for just a moment and then return them. Are there outside pockets on the carryons? If so, I would put the swimsuits in there so you can just grab them without opening the carryon. OR, if you pack a smaller bag like a string backsack, you could pull the swim suits out before you hand over the luggage and either carry the smaller backsack(s) around, or check that bag in separately, and only retrieve that one when you are going swimming.

There are changing rooms/showers/lockers at the health club, but I have not personally used them. Free, I think. Not sure of the size of the lockers.

Some advice I can give you- don't change in the SAB rest rooms. Did that one night (after walking back from Hollywood Studios). It was hot and gross in the restroom and there wasn't a lot of room to change. Use the health club!
