If you register an account with Active and make sure you are signed in when you register you can go back in and get your confirmation. Those of you getting the wait list screen are you sure toy are clicking the link for the 5k? I didn't think there was a limit on the number of runners for the fun runs.

Yes-it is the specific registration for the 5K...

I registered on Thursday night and got a confirmation of payment from Active.com but not a confirmation of registration from Disney either. When I click on the payment page it gives all the info I typed in that night, so I am guessing we will get it this week.


You said your teammates actually something from Disney saying they registered?

She got the Active payment confirmation and then an event registration confirmation..

Waitlist Policy
You are required to enter your credit card information to be put on the waitlist. Your credit card will not be charged to place your name on the waitlist but held in a secure manner so that Disney has it on file should you be admitted into the race.
1) You will receive a confirmation email that you have been placed on the waitlist however this does not guarantee a race registration.
2) If a race registration becomes available the next person on the waitlist will be accepted and Disney will charge your credit card on file the entry fee, plus the active.com transaction fee. You will receive a confirmation email if you are accepted from the waitlist and registered for the race.

Does this mean it is full?? Wow, this is nuts! I can't tell if this is a message they just give everyone as part of the process or if I really am waitlisted!

It was step 2 of the registration "Accept Waiver." Did anyone NOT get this message?

Well I just completed registration and got a registration confirmation and payment receipt emails...does that mean I'm NOT on the waitlist or what??? I'm so confused!

Just wanted to let you know that I went back to my work quarantined emails (yes, I registered at work, and yes, I was still at school at 8pm Thursday night) and there was the official race confirmation. I usually skim the quarantine, but Friday, I just deleted it the entire lot.

So, check your spam if you have a blocker...

But I was going to order pins, but didn't see a spot during the registration.

I'm a bit miffed at not getting to run thru MK...Convinced the other 2 how sweet it would be to run/walk thru MK, made the plans to meet at & have a "celebratory" breakfast at Kona Cafe......, but! Yay! I'm in!

Ok. We're staying at the Poly during race weekend and it appears that is not one of the host hotels. We'll have a car, but now I'm beginning to wonder how early we should leave the Poly in order to get into AK parking with enough time to line up for the race. Just so you know, I am one of those people who likes to be a few minutes early for everything.

Did all of you who just registered also get the wait list message? I guess that's just a precaution because it said if you are waitlisted, you won't be charged and it seems like we all got our payment receipts and registration emails.

Since I had to register 5 people, and with this funky waitlist message we all seem to be getting, I just decided to bite the bullet and register today. I don't want to take any chances that there is a limit on registrations (I don't know if there is). This may be the only time our Disney trip happens to coincide with a Disney race, so we didn't want to miss it.

We are already planning the 5K for marathon weekend in Jan, we may do the half again. Reading through all the posts is making me want to sign up for the Food and Wine.

I was excited to do the fall 5k to run through the MK, surprised on the change but it makes sense with the 40th. Is anyone else concerned about the airfare for the Fall? Prices for Airtran and Jetblue were double the normal fares with all the gas hikes for my area. So the 5K for the fall won't fill up??? I am not sure when I can make the decision to go....there are a number of factors I am waiting on before we can register.

I think SouthWest opens their fares on Monday. That may bring some balance to the airfare. Or AT and JB might be having a precautionary reaction to anticipated oil prices.

Okay, I finally went out to register myself and my BFF for the 5K, but stopped when I noticed it didn't ever ask about ordering the commemorative pins. Looks like others have had issues with this, too. Has anyone been able to order the pins at registration?

Think I'm gonna call Active tomorrow and see what's going on...

I was not able to order pins--that option did not come up when I registered my family.

I registered myself, and when the payment receipt popped up in my email, I realized definitely didn't get to order the pins.

Then rightaway I decided to do my sisters' registrations and to get those pins!
It turns out that you get the pins by registering for them, as a separate event from the run. (You'll type all the name/addr info in for the pins, and again for the run itself)

Ie On Wine-and-dine-half-marathon's main page, click on Commemorative Pins, then choose the 5k pins.
You should end up here.
From that screen, choose either "Register Now" or "Click here to register now".
Both options take you to the same waiver, then Online registration screen, which is similar to the reg. screen for the RUN, but top of page states "2011 Disney Family Fun Run 5K - Commemorative Pin".....this is for the pin(s) ONLY! not pin + run.

Don't know if it matters what order you do it, or if you can go back a day or 2 later, but I did follow that process and reg'd for 2 pins, then went back to register for another event, and that time picked the run, not the pin.
And I did it again for sister #2.

It worked, here's a portion of the email receipt I got:

For the January event there were a lot of pins available even if you didn't purchase them ahead of time. The pins were the same either way so they probably figured that since the pins aren't exclusive to the people that buy them online (I do think in the past they were but not 2011) why bother.

Hoping previous runners can help with my questions..

The Family 5k - what is the difference between the 5K Run and the Stroller Division? Do the strollers walk at a slower pace? Any clarification on the the two races would be helpful! THANKS!!
