2011 Trip report David & Teresa spend their 30th at the Fort.

You are doing a great job!

My comments/questions:

1. The title of your report says "2010 Trip report . . ." This got me confused, as it appears that this is really a live report, and you are at the Fort now. I guess the 2010 is a typo?

2. Your Motorhome looks great. What is up with the vertical window there in the back? That's not something I have seen before. What kind of floor plan do you have in there?

3. Great job on the pig photo. I have never seen anyone walk a pig at the Fort before.
But, now I have!

4. Congratulations on 30 years! That is quite an accomplishment these days!

Have a great time!

Thanks for the comments. Yes I messed up the title of the post maybe an admin or mod can help me out and fix it. The window in the back is right next to the dresser in the bedroom and runs from the floor to the ceiling. We like this floor plan due to the large private bathroom that the side hallway provides, and it isolates the bedroom for more privacy as well. Here is a pic of the layout. Im in !!!!!!!!!!!!
Being a ex PBP owner I love to see people who still raise them.
We moved into the city limits and had to sell ours (Ryno after the baseball player)
He was smart as a whip and easy to train, he was very afffectionate and didn't smell (lack of sweat glands)
Be sure to take lots of Fort pictures makes us feel like we are there with you!

Monday 24 January 2011

Ok it's really Tuesday morning but after we got back from the Magic Kingdom last night and got done with the necessary end of the day chores I was to tired (lazy) to post so here I sit drinking coffee out of my Goofy coffee mug and updating my TR.

Yesterday was a gorgeous day slightly overcast and high 60's to low 70's. The Fort was mostly quiet with only a few folks moving in/out at the start of the week. We headed on over to the Magic Kingdom via boat as is our tradition around nine and anticipated a leisurely walk down memory lane when we encountered a large crowd waiting for us at the main gate to the entrance of MK. I am not sure where all these people came from but this is the biggest crowd we have seen since we have been coming here this time of year. We sure hope this was a fluke and will not follow us around the rest of the week. Being veteran Disney visitors we jumped on the train and bypassed the crowd to the back of the park and started our adventures there.

When we came back to the MH for a break and to let the pups out we encountered that troublesome creature that inhabitants the Fort from time to time. The "Mobile Pressure Washer". Now I don't know which camp your in but I came back to sit in my yard and relax to peace and quiet. Then back to MK to finish out the day and fight the crowd out at the end of the night (did I mention how many people where there).

Not Sure where we are going today but I will let you know when we get back. Thanks for traveling along with us.

Great job so far! I like the pictures. I always to figure out where the photographer was standing when the shot was captured. Makes it seem a little like being there.

Thanks for the visual on your floorplan!

I like that floorplan a lot, too.

Very nice!

If you click on "Edit" on your first post, then "Advanced", you can edit the title.

Done!!!:cool1::cool1:
Thanks so much.

Dang it.

I was going to see if our new friend Webmaster Kathy would fix the title for you.

;)

For the record-that's a winky face.

That means the previous comment was said in jest.

Because some people have a hard time figuring out ironic humor.

No need to click on the red triangle.

Any way . . .

Thanks for the update.

I am interested to hear what you experience in terms of crowds at the MK this week. We were at the MK this past Saturday to see the new show projected on the castle. It was as packed as I have ever seen it.

Congrats on your 30th!!:cool1: Loving the real time report. We checked out on Monday and I did see the guy walking his pig, but I didn't have my camera handy. Great job!!

Tuesday the 25th

Well today we decided to go to Epcot and meet a friend who works for Disney. The crowds were better so I guess the bunch we ran into at the MK was a fluke but the weather was calling for thunder storms so that may have been a factor. Of course the first place we went was Soarin. I have flown hang gliders before and I can say it is close to the real thing. We spent most of the day catching up on old times wandering around the park. After a quick sandwich from the food court near Soarin it was back to the Fort for a break and some down time.

That's when the weather took a turn for the worst but we decided to head back to Epcot anyway. We just put on our rain gear and added some Ziploc baggies to our backpacks for anything that we did not want to get wet. When we got to Epcot it was really coming down and you should have seen the people coming out of the park. Just like rats leaving a sinking ship. We spent a couple of hours catching the things we missed earlier then went home to the Fort to dry off. Its still raining now but it should be clear the rest of the week. Well that's all for now so I will just post some Pics I took with my phone this afternoon.

That's a great picture of the bike barn and look you can get your choice of seats at the pool !

Joining in! Love the pics of the dogs! We are due to arrive at the Fort on Jan. 30 and staying in the cabins for the first time. Can't wait, packing all day today. Have to work a long day tomorrow and then start driving on Friday.:goodvibes
