Thanks for such a quick reply.
I did know that we had to add the dining plan before we check in (but appreciate the reminder).
It's not so much the $ for DH and me but for my DD....she is definitly on a budget and is not a very big eater.
Just wanted to make sure all our ducks are in a row before we get there...less for her to stress about.
(We are meeting DS and family...2 little DGD under 3 so big meals aren't a priority).

Teena...may I add by prayers and positive thoughts to you? I have never met you in person..have glimpsed u several times at the BC and with your positive outlook and zest for living you are quite the inspiration!!!

Thanks so much ... hope to meet you one day when you are at the BC.

We will be at the BC from Dec 11-21, 2011. Can you please add us? We are so excited and trying to keep it a surprise for the kids. Thank you!

Can someone also please tell me how to subscribe to this thread? Sorry I can't figure it out...Thank you

My 7 year old would like to get her hair wrapped when we go in September...is there somewhere near the BC to do this, or at the Boardwalk?

Anybody know a price range?

TIA!

We are staying at BC in June. When you walk to Epcot, where do you enter? Do you just go in the regular entrance, or is there a side entrance? This is our third trip to Disney, but our first time to Epcot...So, just curious. Thanks!

Welcome TeacherDL....This is one of the biggest advantages of Y&BC. The 'back gate' to EPCOT is called the International Gateway. It enters World Showcase between Great Britain and France. Only 5 minute walk from resort to park. If you look in the first post of this thread about the 7th or 8th picture down is a great map by a Disboard hero, ROBO. Enjoy.

Thanks, Tracy and Mike- updated page 1 for April, July, Aug, Sept and December.

No kidding about keeping up. I spent one morning this week going through the 20 pages that had been posted in a day or two.

Tracy, you are now in that sweet spot- you can start playing the "one week from today" game. Have a fantastic trip!!!

There is a hair wrapping stand right by the Pick a Pearl stand at BC.
The price depends on how long your dd's hair is and how many beads
she has put in. Warning - my dd has long hair and it ended up being $65.
Needless to say she won't be doing it again this year!

Thank-you :flower3:

Could you tell me where the pick a pearl stand is at BC?

My daughter's hair right now is just about shoulder length so I'm hoping it won't be that expensive, yikes!

Hello, everyone!

I had always been a "Poly" girl for all of our previous trips - but this past November, I took a solo trip and the Poly was booked. I ended up booking a stay at the Yacht Club - and OMG! I fell in love with it! I LOVED the convenience to my favorite park, Epcot!

So - I've booked a Mother/Daughter Trip for this August, and I decided to check out the Beach Club - even CLOSER to Epcot! Woot!

I'm so looking forward to staying at this resort - if it's half as wonderful as the YC, then I know we'll love it!

My DD(11) and I will be there August 6 - 13th this summer...and then, I have another solo trip planned (for the F&W Festival) from Nov. 9 - 13th. Both of
these stays will be at the Beach Club...the August trip will have us on the Club Level - exciting!

I've been a long-time lurker of this thread; just never posted on it before!
Welcome KCSherri! You will love CL in August. My family stayed CL last August and because it's so HOT we took breaks back at hotel and really enjoyed CL offerings!! It's just so nice and convenient to pop in and get breakfast, drink, snacks, etc!!

It's right by SAB.

My DD had her hair wrapped over Christmas at the WL and she has long hair (she still has it in and loves it). Her hair is layered and I would have preferred wrapping the hair closer to her face since it's shorter, but they will only wrap the hair starting above the ear. I think with tip, ours cost close to what DisneyMomx7 paid. But if they leave it in for months, the per day cost goes down:laughing:

Thanks for the information! Now I know where to look for it! I think I'm in trouble with the cost...My 5 year old always wants to do what her older sister does so I may have to budget for two wraps :upsidedow

You're welcome.

If it's any consolation, it was DD's first wrap (she's 12) and even though it was a little painful with her head down and there was some pulling, she was patient and loves it (still) and doesn't want to take it out. They're sturdy and will literally last months and they do give you directions on how to remove it, when the time comes (now, where did I put that sheet?). I think your girls would love picking out the wrap colors and beads. It's also amazing to watch.

I hope you have a great vacation and hair wrapping experience:goodvibes
