DawnMaree ... you have caused me lots of pain ... you and MarltonMom are so darn funny and after the surgery it hurt every time I laughed. After next week's surgery, I'm going to skip over both of your posts until after I've taken plenty of pain meds!!!!!
:goodvibes I'll just make sure to hold my funniess until your drugs kick in.

Okay, I stewed it over for a few hours and I called to upgrade us to Club Level! I actually was going to do GV CL as it said it was available online, but when I called he said all they had was standard view, so that's fine with me, I guess. Actual, online, all the room categories showed up as being available with the FL Res discount. But either way, we are staying Club Level!

Did I mention in one of my earlier posts that my mom things we are still staying at POFQ? I decided to upgrade us and will surprise her when we drive towards the BC instead of FQ. Hoping she won't be toooo upset with me
That's wonderful Wonders10! We were in a standard CL room and I liked the view...haha. We looked over the front of the resort. If we looked down we saw a pebble roof, but to the right we saw the Villas and Spaceship Earth. And the view was beautiful at night! Also when we looked to the left at night we saw wishes in the distance.

Think of Art and Ranger Stan (WL) often...... My hero's (along with my new greeter hero! ;))

I have heard and read about how great Art is! Oh Ranger Stan!!! We met him during our (first and only) WL stay. He was one of the reasons we loved WL so much!! We greeted each other daily and my DH and I took the WL tour with him. And during our first trip to the BC last August we met Teena!!! I will never forget being greeted by Teena on that day for the first time. So ITA with ya MickeyT! :thumbsup2

Why I love BC/YC IPO Staff

I have dealt with them 3 straight years for 3 vacations and we have gotten to know each other!!! One IPO member contacted me today to double check my request because she remembers from last year how important the wedding gazebo view was to me and was puzzled that this year it stated " NO WEDDING GAZEBO VIEW". WHAT??? I had made the room reservation request thru the central line and so thankful that the IPO took a minute to doublecheck that....I would have been really disappointed as that is the ONLY REquest I have - WEDDING GAZEBO VIEW PLEASE. Not sure where central reservations got that mixed up request from...

Sent you a PM!!

Today I initiated contact with the BC IPO (or is it CPO now?) and asked that an archery reservation be changed and within 20 minutes, Omar had already changed the reservation and contacted me. Wow!

Our crew is great!!!!

The only negative (other than walking past Cape May and smelling seafood, blech), and it is really our fault and not the resort's fault, is that we left our youngest DS's little stuffed "reindeer puppy" (it is really really just a reindeer but he calls it a puppy) in the first room when we moved to the second room. I am 98% sure that it got left in the bedding of the first room so it didn't make the trip to the second room. We did fill out a lost and found slip and every day that we've been home DS5 asks if we got his puppy back yet. I should have checked the first room better before we left so this little :( blip doens't in any way take away any of the awesomeness of the YC.

We had a similar experience at WL CL. DD (7 at the time) lost her bear. She must have left it in bed and housekeeping sent him to the laundry. She had bear since she was 6 months old. Tears wouldn't describe it! The CMs were wonderful trying to track him down, but he was never found. However, the Concierge helped me pull off the stunt of the century. We were getting on DCL in 2 days and DD didn't want to leave WDW without bear (bear had been on 5 cruises with her). My Mom went to our house in NY got the spare bear and WDW had him FedEx to the resort. The CM found me at the pool the minute our special delivery arrived. The CM brought some pixie dust to my room and we made a path to DDs bed with a note from Tink that she flew all the way back to NY to get bear. WDW paid for bears trip! DD was so happy when she found bear 2.0 and the pixie dust! But to this day, that was two years ago, she still talks about bear.

That is such a great story about Bear 2.0 and the CMs are such a big part of why I absolutely :lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc WDW!! :) Unfortunately we don't have a Puppy 2.0 since he was a little gift from one of DS's preschool teachers last year. I'm still hopeful that Puppy will turn up but if not I might have to take DS5 to the store to pick out a little replacement.

Oh, I  Ranger Stan. He is a gem. We always stopped to talk with him during our stays at WL. We also took the Tour of the Lodge with him.
I hope he is enjoying his retirement.

I am sad that I never got the op to meet Art, I've heard so much about him on a few boards. But this will be our first time staying at BC. I do hope to meet Teena while there, but she may not be there at the end of Aug :sad1:

You girls are making me jealous. I thought I was upping the luxury factor by upgrading from POFQ to BC but now I want club level too.....We are paying for a room for my inlaws too (first time in America after a lifetime of dreaming of Disney for my mother inlaw) so I will just have too see how the budget goes.

BCV23 Thanks so much answering my toaster question, very helpful info.

DawnMaree & Natebenma Thanks for the advice with RAC, I will be sure to get my luggage down before 1pm!
I do hope I can get a late check out, so after washing up from the pool, I can pack my bazillion hair products  in my checked luggage! Otherwise i would have no problem just using the Health Club facility to shower & change.
And if I can't get a late check out, guess this is what I'll have to do. Maybe I should pack a travel size styling cream or mousse just in case!

So sorry about the neighbors. I've had that happen to me at a hotel in Las Vegas. I don't care where you are ... when you are at a hotel, it is unacceptable behavior!!! I called security and they came up and straightened it out. But it sure can mess up your vacation when you can't sleep! I hope the "puppy" is found!!!

Sadly bad neighbours happen. We had that with one stay at POR during the day time, with the neighbour letting the hoard of kids she had run screaming up and down the walkway, in & out of the room, slamming doors, and then when I stuck my head out of my door, asked if there was a problem  Glad it was our last day there, or I would have asked for a different room.

But glad out of all our stays at WDW this was the only incidence.

During a stay at HRH in Universal, every night we were woken up by people passing by our door, coming back late at night from Universal Walk, talking really loudly. Guess they need to remember about inside voices

Oh, I really hope puppy shows up!

And thanks for sharing the story about Bear 2.0.

My avatar is "Nay Nay Roar", my oldest son's security item from the time he was 18 months old. He would take it everywhere until we banned it from leaving the house because we were afraid Nate would leave it behind. He would also hide it around the house and forget where he put it and be distraught until we found it again. We got a backup replacement from ebay, but fortunately never had to use it- Nay Nay now sits up on the shelf in my son's room.

Well, I want you all to know that I'm almost 48 years old and I am bringing MY WUBBIE to the Beach Club when I'm on vacation! This is Wubbie 3.0 since my Mom made me throw out my Teddie when I was 9 years old :scared1: and the blanket that I glommed onto after that finally bit the dust after too many trips in the washer and dryer some time in my late 30's.

Wubbie 3.0 is actually a baby blanket that my son got when he was born and we didn't need. It was oh so soft and comfy and it keeps me from drooling at night so THERE! ( I know, I know T. M. I.!!!!)

If housekeeping were to see this thing lying around the room in it's current state they would think that a Muppet had died and call exterminating!

Usually I spare housekeeping from having to deal with Wubbie 3.0 by hiding it in my underwear drawer at the hotel. I have on occasion forgotten to do this and they invariably put my Wubbie next to dear son's "Kissy teddy" and "Bear".

Kissy teddy is so named because she was in the bassinet with my son in the hospital when he was in the NICU for a week. Once we told him the story of how Kissy stayed with him when we couldn't and she would "kiss him up" all the time (Kiss, Kiss, Kiss, Kiss, Kiss, Kiss, Kiss, Kiss, all over his face) That was IT! Kissy was the # 1 bear in the house and there were no two ways about it.

About 6 years ago Kissy was starting to show the signs of too many trips in the washer and dryer. Her Summer outfit just wasn't holding up to all that wear and tear in the rinse cycle so I took a pair of my sons footie pajamas that no longer fit and I made an outfit for Kissy. My son really liked that!

Not long after that I had a horrible thought! What if Kissy met her untimely demise in the washer!!   What would I say to dear son???

So I hatched a plan where I would get a new Kissy and then one night switch them out. The new Kissy would be stronger and more durable! I wouldn't have to live in fear that the latest trip in the washer would be Kissy's LAST! (Cycle set to beyond gentle... I use the Comatose cycle!)

You would not believe how friggin hard it is to find a 10 year old teddie bear. You would think that living in the age of the internet this sort of thing would be a snap... right?? WRONG! It took me months of searching and the only thing that saved my bacon was that some poor obsessive complusive mother thought to sell all the baby crap her kids didn't need or want any more on ebay.

So Kissy Teddy 2.0 comes in the mail. Oh boy she looks Awfully NEW!!! My son went to sleep that night and I thought long and hard. If I just switched them out he'd be sure to figure it out, and he wouldn't like the deception, that's for sure!

In the end I just couldn't do it.

My son woke up the next morning and I called him over. I told him that I had a surprise for him and Kissy. It seems that Kissy's sister "Sissy" was coming to live with us. She missed her sister and wanted to be with her. I was all emotional telling the "story" of the 2 sisters and blah, blah, blah and how now that Sissy was here maybe he could sleep with her and stop mashing Kissy to death in his bed so her head wouldn't fall off one night due to lack of oxygen or something....

Dear Son looked at me like I had 3 heads. NOT SLEEP WITH KISSY???? NO WAY MOM!

All that worrying and searching and finagling and no dice! Kissy is still #1, no questions asked.

Recently I sent her to a women in North Carolina who charged me $65 bucks to sew Kissy's head on to within an inch of her teddy bear life. After paying $65 bucks, if Kissy's head falls off, I'm going to have that women charged with murder!

The things we do for love!!! :sad2:

What's the doctor say? What meds did you get for him? Pixie Dust is being sent immediately!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He said a lot of flu is going around here. He prescribed zithromax and just said to keep pushing motrin and Tylenol for the fever. I feel like there is nothing I can do for the poor kiddo. :sad1: Just pray he gets better quickly. The medicine is a five day dosage so he will take his last dose Saturday morning before we board the plane. FINGERS CROSSED!!!! Both my kids came down with the swine flu last year in Tenneessee and we never saw outside the hotel room except to go to walgreens. Really hoping we don't go through that again.

So so sorry ... please keep us all advised as to how he does and hopefully nobody else gets it!
