Here he is :(
Poor little sick guy. :sad1:

I don't think he's happy I'm sitting here next to him with my iPad. Better log off and play Dr Mom!!

He said a lot of flu is going around here. He prescribed zithromax and just said to keep pushing motrin and Tylenol for the fever. I feel like there is nothing I can do for the poor kiddo. :sad1: Just pray he gets better quickly. The medicine is a five day dosage so he will take his last dose Saturday morning before we board the plane. FINGERS CROSSED!!!! Both my kids came down with the swine flu last year in Tenneessee and we never saw outside the hotel room except to go to walgreens. Really hoping we don't go through that again.

PD and prayers for the family!

...unless, of course, you come on and question insensitive remarks and then respond and try to defend yourself. Things will get uncomfortable then, LOL.

No one will ask you when you are coming down to visit BC/YC or even thank you when you offer your heartfelt support and assistance during their difficult time by sharing your own experience.

Not surprising, but very disappointing...thanks for reminding me why I prefer men over women. Us strong women are scary!

Looking forward to seeing some of you at SAB in August. I'll be the crazy b**ch with the perfect rack, compliments of BC and Tamoxifen.

Have a great day!:scared1:

Okay.....there's always another side, but her experience aside, pretty much everyone on this thread really does chat and get involved and debate nicely and try to be helpful. They have been great whenever I've had a question even when it has not been resort specific. So welcome aboard and ask away, there's always someone around who'll know the answer or at least where to find the answer.

I leave envelopes everyday for mousekeeping usually with a little note attached with a tip in it. We are looking forward to not haveing to leave the room to do laundry and the whirl pool tub at night. I have really bad ankles from many years of marching band when I grew up in Altamonte Springs and now have handicape parking because of it. We might have to rent a scooter also, just trying not to because I am so young but I am trying to avoid surgury on them also. But how far is handicap parking or should I pay for valet?

I believe valet is free with a handicap placard. But a tip is still appreciated.

Ugh!!!!! The flu has hit. :scared1: NO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just got home with ds, temperature of 103, bad cough, practically delusional. Please pray he gets well by Saturday and that my youngest doesn't get it. :sad1:

It's an epidemic. I was asked to leave work today because I looked and felt feverish. Turns out I have an upper respiratory infection so not much they can do for me but still hoping it runs its course by the end of the week since we leave Saturday too! Hope your DS gets better quick!

Our crew is great!!!!

I haven't been contacted by IPO and have been unable to contact them via the email listed on this thread. I already have all our ADRs and am not sure why/if I need to contact them. We are BC CL May 10-14 but are staying at POP (thinking of Teena :rolleyes1) the 7th through the 10th. Maybe IPO didn't get our info because we are staying at POP first? :confused3

No, staying at Pop has nothing to do with it. Just call the BC number and ask to speak to IPO and let them know if you want them to do anything for you. If you don't have anything specific you need them to do, tell them you made your ADRs but would like to have a print out of them waiting for you when you check-in. At least this way you will be making contact with them.

Just looked at the e-mail address listed on the Concierge section of the FAQ section, and it looks like I didn't bring it over correctly. I will try again. I would love to test it out, but I don't have a confirmed concierge reservation!

Thanks Teena! I just emailed IPO via the email posted by CR Fan. If the email doesn't go through this time I will call the BC.

ETA: The email went through! I just got an auto reply from IPO. Thanks for the link CR Resort Fan.

A bit after we made our reservation, I got an automatic email with a link to a web form. After I filled that out, IPO contacted me and have been wonderful ever since.

I remember there being an option for "do not contact me via email" when I first registered. Perhaps that was the problem for others?:confused3

As for those who are sick... get well soon! I'm home myself today, stupid cold/flu that's going around. I've been pretty lazy, but found a bunch of old trip pictures and I've been uploading them this afternoon. Wow, did I have a twisted sense of fashion....:rotfl2:

Will you doctor give you a prescription for your younger son just in case? That way if he spikes a fever on Saturday you'll be able to treat immediatly.

My son and I had strep week before last and my hubby had flu, type B last week. He was very, very sick and actually had an ice pack on his head for most of the week bc his head hurt so bad. Good news for you is that it lasted about 5 days and then he was back to business. Sorry your little guy is sick. I hate to see my kids feeling bad. Now my hubby....hmmm...just kidding! :rotfl:

DeeCee---I also want to chime in with a huge welcome! I'm new here too and don't comment all that often, but everyone is very nice and helpful. It seems like most of the regular posters have a lot on their plates right now, so I think you just got lost in the shuffle, but no-one meant any harm.

By the way----I feel the need to mention to everyone here that I am BEYOND excited about our upcoming trip to the BC which we will leave for in 58 days, 22 minutes and 13, 12, 11, seconds!!!!!:thumbsup2:banana:

Cheers to everyone planning their trips or about to leave! Prayers and love to everyone else having a tough go of it right now.

Teena here's a question that maybe you can answer.

Do you think BC will ever get the cabanas like the GF and the Poly?
As you know we are staying the first two nights at the Poly and I rented a cabana for the second day. I would LOVE to be able to do that at SAB!

TigrLvsPooh - hope your ds gets better very quickly!

Good luck! From what I understand hardly any lv cl rooms have daybeds. That is why they won't allow a family of 5 to book a lv cl room.

I will find out for you. However, keep in mind, if you don't have five people in your party, there's a good chance even if you request one, you won't get the daybed since they must go to the people that have five in the party.

Yikes! Oh oh....well....we are only a family of 4, but we do like to spread out at bedtime. Maybe I'll take a peak to see if GV CL is available and maybe downgrade the view. At the time, only standard view and lagoon view were available, so I thought we'd splurge and book lagoon. But if we're not comfy in bed, then I'd give up the view....I'll be anxious to hear what you find out Teena -- thanks so much for checking!

Once upon a time a single mom and her young son were visiting CBR after their Disney cruise on the Big Red Boat. While riding the bus to Epcot, the mom saw the most wonderful resort and swimming pool she had ever seen and asked what was that? She was told it was the brand new Beach and Yacht club. She thought to herself - someday I'm going to stay there. The years went by and she returned with her extended family and they all stayed @ CBR and took a Disney cruise on the Wonder, then she stayed @ AKL on a special deal, then she put her son through college and celebrated by taking her mom and son and his friend to a moderate - POFQ, then her mom wanted the Poly so she went there, then her son wanted AKL, so she went there. Now, some day has arrived and come December of 2011, she's hoping to try the YC.
Thought I'd introduce myself.
Being thorough, I've read every single post in this thread, I read fast and it only took 3 days:lmao:

I noticed the link to the IPO email address had an extra space in the .com part so maybe that was the problem? Hopefully it works now. :)
