Sorry guys but remove me from your travel list for BC. :rolleyes1 We were down for June 25 ~ July 2. I'm sure it's an amazing place to stay and I do love visiting, but WL just has my heart. We decided we had to switch. I hope all of you have wonderful trips! :goodvibes

Teena - keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
I agree with everyone - the waiting is the worse.
It DOES get better - this year I will be a 16 year survivor!

We didn't know the sex of the first four (wasn't done routinely then) and I kind of think it's more exciting NOT to know. Although it does make the shopping easier when you know!

Teena, wishing you a smooth journey through all the pre-surgery and the surgery itself. Do everything you can to take care of yourself and let your friends and family help! ( I know that was the hardest part for my sister-in-law).
I didn't find out the sex of any if my three children - three of the best moments of my life! Makes all the hard work of pregnancy worthwhile to hear "it's a ______".

Just got home from Jeanne's. Got the washer going. Meeting Pennsylvania friends at Epcot tomorrow afternoon and then dinner at Cape May with them.

It was a fun and productive trip.

I'm working Sunday and Monday and then Tuesday we drive to the Mayo Clinic for testing all day Wednesday starting at 6:45 AM. We'll drive home Wednesday night. If all goes well on Wednesday, surgery will be at the Mayo on 3/10. I'm keeping my fingers crossed all the tests will go great and there will be no further delays. I need to get fixed and ready for the grandchild who is still sexless. She calls it "peanut" and is still refusing to have the sex revealed before birth. I thought after registering at Babies R Us, she'd see all the boy and girl things and decide to find out the sex but nope, she's sticking to her original plan.

It was very nice to get back to nice humid air after that desert dry air!!!!

Welcome Home Teena- You will be in my thoughts on Wednesday, sending you all good wishes with the testing.

I think it is nice that your daughter wants to be surprised about the sex of "peanut"

My daughter and I will be checking in at BCV one week from today!!! Looking forward to being back at our home resort. We'll be there from March 4 - 8 and then moving to BLT for a few nights!

Good luck with your testing and surgery Teena! pixiedust:pixiedust:

Teena - Prayers are with you.

I have to tell you about my DS, all during the pregnancy it was a girl, more than one ultrasound still girl until the day he was born, everything was pink and all girl, then the Dr announced "It's a Boy", DH said "It's a what?".....:scared1:

The MIL rushed back to the house, exchanged most of the clothes and painted the room before DS arrived home...

Your story made me laugh since the same thing happened to me except it was before Ultra Sounds, the Dr predicted a girl because of the heartbeat and when I gave birth it was a BOY

Another "back before ultrasounds", my mother was pregnant with #3. There were us 2 girls at home and Dad said he wanted 3 girls. (At first he told my mother he wanted 3 of each and she said "think again", so he went with 3 girls.) The doctor kept telling her "it's a boy." She told him, "no it's not. It's another girl." From what she says, this was a regular argument with them at every appointment.

My Dad got his 3 girls, although I was just pointing out to my older sister the other day that I had been wishing for a brother...but don't tell the younger one I said that. I don't want to listen to her tirade.

Hello everyone,
Quick question, does anybody know how come there are rooms with 2 sinks?

also I am booked at the beach club in May, but I am now thinking if I should go and switch to the poly. Has anyone ever stayed at both and can give me a comparison?? Thanks!!

Well, I'm torn. I can't decide if I'm thrilled that I upgraded to the CL rooms or if I feel like I was "had". I received my reservation in the mail yesterday for the BC and found that one of our days was missing from the end. I called to add it on and was told that under the pin that I had that a room was not available in that category and then she suggested the BWI. I told her I was disappointed because it was a mistake that I'm not sure how it was made. I'm pretty sure I said "thru" that date and not check-out on that date and at the time I made a reservation there was availability. The CM went to check with her supervisor (or at least that is what she told me) and when returned she told me that the supervisor said "sorry but only a certain number of rooms were available...yada yada". So, since I was already considering a CL room I had her check on those. Lo, and behold that was availability so I booked it but it added a bit to the room total (both adding one more night and CL for all the nights). I haven't told the husband yet and I hope he doesn't mind (he is not even going on this trip :scared1:). Anyways, why do I feel "had"? Well, I went back online and noticed that if I add yet another day to either the beginning or end of my reservation there is the GV BC room available but if I only put in the needed days then yes there is not one available as the CM said. Now why is this? It is sort of frustrating and seems wrong. I mean I could have said I needed an extra day to get the discount and then later cancelled one day.

OK, maybe I need to just move on and be happy that we are now staying CL. I mean we do get drinks, snacks, bfast, and happy CM's to help us if we need it. The CL floor also is a bit smaller so maybe we won't have long walks. OK, folks tell me something to make me happy and not feel like I've been duped. I should just be thankful for all I have right?!

Two sinks so two people can get ready at the same time. Found them to be useful when we were in a hurry.

Been a while since i stayed at Poly but my answer would be, Poly is on the monorail and close to MK. YC/BC is on the bus route and within walking distance of Epcot and DHS. Poly has a nice pool and a great view of MK fireworks at night. YC/BC has SAB (the best resort pool there is) and you can see the upper fireworks from Epcot at night. It just really depends on what is important to you. Poly has been ripped lately for being "old" and "worn" but then my wife says that about me all the time.

Back when I was pregnant with my now 12 year old I was of "Advanced Maternal Age" (Lovely Huh!) and the doctors recommended that amniocentesis be done.

Ultrasound is a picture, but amniocentesis is an examination of the genetic make up of the baby and one of the things that you can find out for sure is the sex of the baby. The test showed XY chromosomes so we were having a boy for sure.

Well I called my Mom and I told her we were having an "Evan" instead of a "Katie". She absolutely insisted that amniocentesis wasn't a sure thing and that she had friends who had had it and they were told 1 thing and then the other gender was born!

I TRIED FOR months to convince her that Amnio was different from Ultrasound but she refused to buy it. After Evan was born I said to her "Now do you believe me?" and she still did not

I still have the picture of his little chromosomes in his baby book! IMHO They are very cute for chromosomes!!!

katesdad- You made me smile today. Thanks! Oh I hate making choices. They both look like such good resorts....Hmmmmm!:confused3
