Well I went back and checked and the WDW site does have the deluxe rooms back to $15 less than waterview. Mousesavers still has the deluxe rooms more than waterview rooms, which was the case when we booked.

Good thing I checked. We have a gv cl room booked but if AP rates come out and gv cl is blocked out we would probably switch to a deluxe cl room, since we can't book a waterview - they only sleep 4!

BCV23 - thank you for asking. My Mom is holding her own, it's still day to day.

Room service - we always thought it was really good. We've ordered it several times and have never been disappointed.

Excuse the silly questions, our first YC stay is in two weeks. I know that everyone is supposed to have their room key for SAB entrance but where do you check-in with it? Do you go to the front desk to get a wristband or show it to a lifeguard? Or do you just need it to unlock the gate around the pool?

And the Kiddie Cruise that is offered at YC... has anyone had their child do this? Wondering how many CM there are vs. number of kids on each cruise and where all do they go on their cruise?

TIA!

There was a lifeguard standing at the entrance to the pool area who checked your room key and gave you a wristband. I don't remember there being anything to unlock.

73 Days!!! I can't wait to hit SAB! I am so looking forward to our first stay at the Beach Club!

Every single person age 3 and over must show a room key to either the YC, BC or BCV. When you show your key, you will be allowed into SAB and given a wristban. No locks ... a CM checks it carefully since all room keys look alike. They check the date and code for the resort.

Thank you both and this is exactly what I was needing to know.

You're a busy lady here! I want to know how to request- I would love a full balcony- but one that I can see out of when sitting. I see at BC they have some of the same type of balconies that WL has- sitting down you can't see out.
So how to phrase request so computer will understand it, lol!

Also we are 2, me & 25 yr old daughter. Looking at rooms, is it possible they would put us in a room with 1 bed & pull out or day bed? We'd really like to have 2 beds, neither of us would be thrilled to have to sleep on a day bed.

I will have requests on my reservation, but is sending a fax to room assigner 5 days before arrival still advisable with new system? Or would stopping by help? We're doing a split stay, and will be at POR the first 6 nights of vacay.

TIA

Teena good luck tomorrow with your tests

disneymomx7 keeping your mom in our thoughts

Pixarmom, I think you are keeping the list for March... Can u add me for March 26 - apr 2. BCV

Thanks...

My son has done the cruise twice - the first time there were 2 kids and 2 cast members. The second time there were about 10 kids & 2 cast members.

The pontoon travels all over crescent lake and they get off the boat looking for clues and treasure. They chase a pirate on a sea ray around the lake too & have lunch Near the albatross... My son loves that cruise!!

Hope that helps

That's great. I wish other pools would do it too.

I don't understand what type of balcony you are referring to. We have two: standing and full. If you want to sit on the balcony, then make sure the reservation has the right code on it that the new reservation system reads which says you want a "full balcony". If there are two different types of full balconies (which I'm not aware of or never heard of), it is not specified on the room rack so obviously nobody can tell by the computer system what the balcony is, only that is is "full" or "standing. If there are two different types of full balconies, the only way to know which one it is would be by walking into the room and looking at the balcony. The only thing that the room rack shows is a "full balcony" or "standing balcony". Just like the daybeds... there are two types of them, the new ones (which would comfortably sleep a large adult) and the old one (that will sleep a very very small adult). The only thing the room rack shows us is whether it has a daybed, it doesn't tell us what type of daybed.

As far as faxing the room assignor ... honestly, at our resort, it doesn't change anything. I wouldn't bother.

The most important thing is that the reservation has the right request on it.

There are very very very few rooms with one queen and a daybed. I would not worry about getting one since there are so few of them. When you check in, just say, "do we have two queen beds in the room?" If they should say, "no, there is one queen and a daybed", tell them you really need two queens and be persistent. If the CM doesn't change your room, ask to speak to one of the managers.

I believe I remember the answer to the question I posed yesterday about a door decoration to show support or membership to the DIS. I read a thread where folks went to Home Depot and picked up a "Alien Green" Disney paint swatch made by Behr. They cut out the colored Mickey head put it on their resort room door or on a purse or backpack in the parks.
