Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.

It's a tough road ahead and we are taking it day by day. My mom has an infection in her blood stream, internal bleeding and a blockage in her heart.

They had her on IV antibiotics, but they had to operate to remove her artificial knee replacement because it was badly infected. They need to get the infection cleared up before they can do a colonoscopy to see where the bleeding is coming from. Right now she is receiving a lot of blood transfusions. They can't do the cardiac cath to put in a stent until the internal bleeding stops.

My mom is a terrific person and is so devoted to her family. We are trying to get through this as best we can and praying for the best.

Thoughts and prayers with you both and your families. Take care of yourselves...that is so imortant to do and probably hardest for women to remember.

Teena, it sounds like you made the best choice for the best possible care. I think having confidence in a doctor is have the battle!

Although I'm in the classroom at Jeanne's school, I still get calls from our beloved Y&B.

Wow! They call when you're on vacation?? Have you considered the "Witness Relocation" program? They send most of those mobsters out to Vegas anyway so you'd fit right in!

Just when you thought you were out, they pulled you back in!

WOW ... what an exhausting day! Jeanne and I went to Babies R Us and got her registered. Things sure are different from when I had Jeanne (30 years ago). So much stuff and of course she needs everything! I'm wiped out. She was so thankful I was here to help her. I wish we lived closer together but all I can say is thank goodness for Southwest Airlines who makes it affordable to visit as much as I can and allows me to fill up two big suitcases full of stuff for her and the kids in her classroom and "Peanut". I thought maybe seeing all that stuff in pink and blue at Babies R Us would maybe persuade her to change her mind about knowing the sex of "Peanut", but oh no, she found lots of stuff unisex that she loved. DARN!!!!

I love it - how fun! Even from our oldest to our youngest, it seemed the amount of baby stuff available tripled! Welcome Back and hope you get some rest!

Teena - I wish you all the best with your grandaughter and it is great to see you shopping and having fun with your daughter. I'm sure it is a BLAST.

Please make a fast recovery from your Breast CA. We all NEED you!!! Seriously, you're in my prayers.

DisneyMom7 - I'm so sorry to hear of your Mom. She is in a very rough place. I've taken care of many GI Bleeds and it can be scary. I pray that they can get this infection under control and get that bleed stopped. I sent you a pm.

It is so tough how life throws us such difficult times, but great that we all have a common passion that brings us closer together.

Glad to hear you had a great visit, even though the stuff found was unisex They sure do have more stuff out now. I remember when my 25 yr old was an infant, the only infant car seats out were these great old buckets!
And the strollers now are amazing!
