Hi all! We loved the BC so much last May that we are returning again this May/June. Just wanted to drop in and say "hello" and thanks for all the tips last year and now I'm scoping out the boards for any thing new for this year. :surfweb:

Here is the hard part for me...last year we had a wonderful CL experience at the BC and now I just can't decide if we should splurge on it again. I just love not having to go anywhere for a drink or a bite at breakfast or a cocktail before dinner. I love the friendly CM's and checking in on the 5th floor but probably won't have need of further reservations (already made most of them). So, the question is to CL or not too CL?! Of course, I would have to find a PIN offer or some sort of discount for the room too. I could surprise my sis with it though for her Birthday!! :cake: Decisions, decisions... :)

Thanks for the info! Maybe I should add to my request, I want to be able to see out of the balcony
At least with a GV you aren't looking out on a parking lot or a roof! Which is really why I booked GV. A lake view for sure would be nice, but more $ :goodvibes

DH LOVES AKL, but he did agree to a split stay this last time. He says he still likes AKL better, but admitted seeing Illuminations from the room was pretty cool.

I leave Thursday and I'm so excited I can hardly stand it!!

I will be staying in a studio at BCV. Where do I go to do laundry? I've been told that is is free for guest staying in the Villas so how does that work?

Thanks for all the wonderful information on this thread.

I loved our stay at AKL too. Great resort. And the activities there. Night vision scopes, evening cultural exchange talks, culinary tour! And Zebra Domes :goodvibes

Haven't stayed in Epcot area yet, so giving it a go. Really excited. Just booked our ADRs today.

After a 2 year break from Disney Property, we are switching back. the last 2 years we stayed at Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort. While this was a nice break, and saved us some money, it is missing that Disney charm. now that our 2nd daughter is almost 4, this trip she has to buy a child ticket, and our other daughter is 9, last trip with a child ticket.

So we are taking advantage of the kids stay and play free promo. Doing 3 days at Port Orleans French Quarter with 7 day park tix, then 4 more days at Beach Club with the 40% off promo. All this the 1st week in June.

Hello and welcome back!! For us, it would come down to how much we would use the lounge and whether I have a PIN or can find a good special offer.

We've stayed at BC three times in the past 12 months - once in a standard room, once in a water view room and once in a CL room. We really enjoyed CL. Between early breakfasts in the lounge, snacks during late afternoon breaks/before Epcot dinner ADRs and generally hungry pre-teens, we used the lounge far more than we had anticipated! We also have a pre-schooler who tends to crash in his stroller during dinner (four out of six nights of our last trip.) So on those nights, I always felt better knowing that he ate a variety of healthy snacks in the lounge before dinner and drank some milk before falling asleep. Of course, the CL CMs were always helpful and made extra efforts to assist us during our trip a number of times.

I'm not sure if any of this applies to your situation, but hopefully it helps you or other posters with any similar circumstances! We just booked one post-cruise night in August at BC and we decided to return to CL because we found a good special offer on the WDW site and we're not doing any parks, so we'll use the lounge a lot!

Happy Planning! :wizard:

I agree totally ....it really just depends on the rate for us. We just booked BC CL for our trip next month because the rate was so good. Basically we are paying the same rate as if we would have booked the poly so the lounge is just a bonus. ;)
Good luck with your planning!!!!!! :)

Yay and welcome! Hope you love it as much as we do! We'll be there with our three boys at the same time (just one night after our Disney cruise) and we'll spend lots of time at SAB. Based on our experience last year, SAB is a great place to be in the summer heat! :wizard:

Hi!

My family is doing a split stay and staying at Pop Century from September 13-16, then we check out of Pop on the 16th and will head over to the Beach Club from Sept 16-20

We're so excited, we always stay value and this is our first time being able to try a deluxe and we chose Beach Club because we know our two daughters will love the pool and DH will love the location!

I have been reading this great thread with interest but I do have a question:

We plan to check out of Pop on the morning of the 16th, take a cab over to the Beach Club, check-in, have breakfast at Cape May and then enjoy the pool while we wait for our room to be ready. Will we be able to use the pool until our room is ready? We will not have our room keys at that point even though we checked in correct? But it is my understanding you need to show your room key to get into the pool? Please help :flower3:

Thanks for all the great information!

If you have checked in (and you can do so as early as 7am), you will have your room keys. They may or may not have your room ready, but you will have your keys and they will tell you your room number when it is ready. I think they still text room numbers to you. You can also, as I understand, use the showers in the health club before your room is ready.

Terrific! Thanks! I was hoping we would be able to enjoy SAB while we wait for our room to be ready :goodvibes

I will be staying in a studio at BCV. Where do I go to do laundry? I've been told that is is free for guest staying in the Villas so how does that work?

Take a look at page one of this thread, at the bottom, there is a great deal of detail on the BCV's. I noted in Natebama's detailed descriptions that a one-bedroom villa has a washer/dryer in it. There is also a link to another site that gives even more information. Hope this helps and that you have a great trip!

Does anyone have any experience with ordering a cake and having it delivered to your room at the Beach Club?

If our trip goes according to plan, we want to be their for hubby's bday and I'd love to have a cake delivered to the room. Is this something the Beach Club can do? I assume I contact Beach Club dining to inquire.

Do you know if there are any requirements or things they can't do?

Thanks for any info! I have been checking out the cake threads, but there is so much info there and I haven't had time to weed through to find if there were any made for delivery at the Beach Club.

We tend to guard the exact location due to those who might take advantage. I'll send you a PM. You will need your BCV room key to enter the room. Use of the machines is free but you must bring your own detergent or buy it there.
See you there.....well, not in the laundry room.:rotfl:
Have fun!:cool1:

kelleigh1, no personal experience with having a cake delivered to a room at BC but I know it can be done. I've see some beautiful cakes on the cake threads which were delivered to Y&BC or BCV.

pixarmom, can you add me to the beginning of March? Thanks. Our trip was a bit up in the air but we're full steam ahead now and leaving soon!:cool1:

Robyn, I hope your mother had a good day yesterday. She's in my prayers.

Thank you BCV23. I've got plenty of time to research this (over a year), so I guess I'll look through all the cake threads. Other than making me really hungry, I think I'll enjoy that research.

I am excited to stay at Beach Club but have been waffling the last few days on doing split stay and trying out the Poly (not because I have loved it so much or anything, but more because everyone else seems to love it so) It is our last year to be able to stay there since after June our baby will be 3 and then we have 6 and we will switch over to villas probably.... What do you think?

Angie

Thanks for the information. I read the PM first and wondered why you answered that way:) Now I know the secret and feel like a true BCV insider :ssst:
