Our DD19 told us yesterday that she will be able to make it with us to Disney!!!!

Due to College/work last summer she was unable to make it there with us, and that was our first YC/BC trip. I Can't WAIT to share this wonderful resort with her!!!! She's going to fall in love .

And now at night when DH and I are exhausted, she and DD13 can head out to the parks for more nighttime entertainment...............I sense a few frozen drinks sitting by the pool in my future.

Hi Everyone! This time tomorrow we'll be in the air on our way.....:yay:

Just want to say THANK YOU to everyone for this wonderful thread. You all rock!!

I'll be sure to post how wonderful everything was when we get back :goodvibes

Make sure you call and add her to the reservation BEFORE you get there. With the new reservation system, it is very very difficult to add a person after you check-in. Of course, she will need the key to the world card to get into SAB and also for extra magic hours.

Woohoo!!! We just added an additional day to our reservation because the Beach Club sounds like sooo much fun. I didn't think dh would go for it, but he did! We would have added 2 more, but there was no availability. Still - 4 days at the Beach Club, with very little park time, sounds great to me!!!! Thanks to EVERYONE who contributes to this thread. The excitement is contagious! :)

Have a fantastic time!!! Lucky you getting out of Mass during this horrid winter! Good thing your flight is tomorrow and not today. Enjoy the warmth and palm trees for those of us stuck under feet of snow!

Fantastic!! When you check in, you can always see if there is availability to stay an extra day ... there usually is. Reservations change all the time. Also, you can call every day too to double check. What month are you coming?

Checking in Feb. 10, for 4 nights. Valentine's day seemed to be sold out (garden view). I'm not sure if we'd be able to change our flight last minute (in order to add one more night should it open up), but we may try that, thanks!

Lucky you- to bad you couldn't have gone before we had MORE SNOW- I am sooo jealous- We are running out of places to pile the snow. We were there in Dec and can't wait to go back Dec 2011

Are you flying? If so you might want to rent a wheelchair at home and bring it. That's what we did when my mother (80) came with us and when dd broke her leg last year. We never realized until we had someone elderly or injured how much walking there is in the airport alone!

I suggested that but was shot down.

We did arrange for wheelchairs at the airports. And he agreed to that. (He also has a torn Lig in his knee and it is easier at the airport with a chair). He is resistant to having one at the resort or park, as he figures we'll take it slow and he can rest when needed. We got a GAC for him two years ago when we did MK and he did fine with just that and having a break, but two years ago it was just his bad knee, with the drain of treatment this time we just think it'll get to be too much. So he won't agree to taking a walker or chair, but said IF he got there and needed one he might rent one.

Here is a link to the review of our dinner at the Cape May Cafe in July. Plenty of pictures. A lot of the photos are of seafood, though, since we enjoy it.

Here's a couple of pictures of some of the offerings for landlubbers:

Thanks Teena,

Took care of that last night as soon as I got the news!!! I think the reservation center must be tired of hearing my voice by now :lmao:

I hope this year to meet you in person, last year we walked over to BC a few times, but you were always with other guests and I didn't want to interupt.

Can May just get here already :worship:

Thank you so much to whoever originally posted the pics from Cape May at dinner. My husband is a ridiculous eater, there are many more things he won't eat than he will, but after looking at these pics I think even he can piece together a meal. :thumbsup2 Thanks a million!

We are returning in July: 19-28 at YC CL!!!! Can't wait. We decided not to do the GF.

Jennifer:woohoo:

Staying at the Beach Club for the first time at the end of August with a garden-view room. For you BC regualrs, what rooms do you prefer? Near the lobby, near the Epcot walkway, higher floor, lower floor, etc.?

All depends on personal preference. What do you want? If a full balcony is something you are interested in, make sure that is your first request on your reservation!

While a full balcony certainly be nice, I think it would be a higher priority if we had a water view room. I'm thinking more for convenience. How far a walk is it from the outer-most rooms near the quiet pool / Epcot walkway back to the lobby and SAB entrance?

Unfortunately, you booked a garden view so unless you upgrade to a water view room, you definitely will not get a water view room.

For me (I'm old but have long legs), I can make it from the lobby to 1501 (which is the closest room to the Epcot walkway) in about two minutes.

:goodvibes I'm getting giddy! :lovestruc I just had to stop by and say....only 8 more days to go for us until we are air-bound!!! Wow, it's coming up fast!
:lovestruc

Quick drive-by post here. We go to WDW several times a year with our 4yo son and have stayed at just about every moderate and deluxe resort except YC/BC with the Contemporary being our favorite - until now. Went this past weekend for 3 nights and stayed at BC for the first time. Absolutely loved it and decided that it is our new favorite!

Would you mind me asking what exactly you liked about it over the contemporary? I just switched from the contemporary to the BC yesterday mostly because we love the epcot area ( up until this future trip we've always stayed at the dolphin). It seemed like the room we had at the contemporary was much harder to get as there was no availability for it yesterday but plenty of rooms at the BC (i'm guessing it's because of the # of rooms at the price we reserved over there).

Keep in mind the Contemporary is a huge convention resort and lots of time they are totally full because of their convention business (obviously with some regular guests too). That could be the reason for no availability.
