BCV23 - Welcome back!!!
Unfortunately this has happened before. It usually means just a pool or a water view. Did you book a waterview room?
Thanks, I will make sure to request a high floor. We are so excited!!!We've stayed in quite a few one BRs at BCV at this point. We've enjoyed them all for different reasons. I used to post that it didn't matter which floor you were on for Illuminations. In our past experience, we could see some but not all of the higher effects whether on the 2nd or 5th floor as long as we faced that part of the Epcot. Last week we had a great 1BR on the 2nd floor but could only see really small bits of Illuminations through the thick trees. Sort of like watching colored lightning in the distance.I'm sure some of the trees have grown since BCV opened 8 years ago but I think the biggest difference is that the trees are thicker. So to cut all through that, I would just request highest floor possible on Epcot side or view of Illuminations (knowing that it will not be a complete view). We absolutely loved the location of this room.
Have fun!![]()
I did book waterview. The only reason I question it is that I looked at my reservation online a week ago and it said "Room Type: Water or Pool View" and yesterday it said "Room Type: Deluxe: Water or Pool View"
I will be perfectly happy with water or pool view (as it is what I booked), but it is the new addition of Deluxe that has me curious. Either way, I am going to WDW on Sunday and staying at the BC to take full advantage of F&W![]()
Sean & Christine and Linda-
Enjoy yourselves!!! Wishing you great weather and FANTASTIC trips!
Look forward to hearing all about it!

From what I remember it just means deluxe resort - waterview room.
If it were a "deluxe room" it would say Deluxe CL room.
Have a wonderful stay.
After seeing your post I went back and looked at my Reservation . I am at the YC and mine just says water/ pool view - then it has noted guest requests main pool view with full balcony - not guaranteed.
I was happy to see that my request was noted and I hope that since mine doesn't say "Deluxe" that you will get some extra pixie dust! Be sure to let us all know if you are lucky enough to get some extra magic!!
I'm not saying it is or isn't a deluxe room, at this point there really isn't any way to know. General consensus has been it *could* be a Deluxe room or it *could* just be a water view. I'll find out on Sunday.
Thanks for checking! It is always nice to know that your requests have been noted. I'll check back and let you know on Sunday![]()
Good luck - hope you have a great time.
I wasn't trying to be a downer it's just that soooo many guests have reported that their reservation said deluxe when it just meant deluxe resort. When we booked the Deluxe Room at BC the confirmation always said deluxe CL room since it is a club level room.
BCV23 - Welcome back!!!
Final countdown to departure. Thanks for all the well wishes.
Teena- us greyhound folks will see you Sunday!
Just got back for my week long stay (conference). DW and I were able to go to Epcot for the afternoon a week ago (knew about the after 2pm tickets, but they had an after 4pm ticket - It's for conference attendees ONLY) so we spend the eve at Epcot.
Park was a bit crowded for a Thursday in mid October, with 45' wait at Soarin, but no more than 10' at the other rides.
Unfortunately didn't get to meet Teena, nor got any room upgrades, nor they met our request for a king size bed. CM at the front desk tried to get someone on the back for a good 20' trying to meet our request, but no luck. Didn't ask for an upgrade or anything but after 20' waiting there, I sure hoped I would get one. Never happened. Our room (3rd floor) had a full balcony, however it's view was that of the roof of what I think it's the office area (if you are looking at the front of the BC, it's the building to the right of it that's restricted to CMs). I wish they would do something with that rooftop other than gravel. Like put some decorations or something...
Never got to dine in the BC/YC. One night, I had a burger at the ESPN club, and was just overcooked and a bit dry. One night, however we dined at the italian place in the Swan, and food was delicious.
But was treated excellent by all the cast members. We both had a great time...
