Teena I did some research about the BW CL Lounge. Seems to have a number of Meditteranean style items. I work for Greeks and have had a number of items so I may actually enjoy them. DH possibly not so much.

I will definitely let you know what the selection is so you can have a comparision of them. Do you know if they have the extended hours there or is it just at YC/BC?

Sorry, I have no idea about their hours. Our breakfast items are really great. Guests recently from BW, CR and the Poly have all told me our breakfasts are much better ... probably because of the sliced hard boiled eggs, oatmeal and fixin bar and our different selection of gourmet pastries. I did hear they have mediteranean style items now at the BW which would certainly not please me but my hubby would probably enjoy it. It's such a shame you can't compare by doing a split stay!!!

I think we have decided to do our Feb trip at the BCV. Looking forward to reading up on the resort. Wondered if you guys could answer some questions.

We will be through CRO not points.

I've read that we do get mousekeeping everyday, does that mean they replace towels or are we still expected to wash them?

Do they provide dishwashing/laundry/dishwasher soap? I will bring my own if this if needed, just didn't know what to pick up in the way of supplies besides salt and pepper and groceries :rotfl:

It says that coffee is provided, is it the same stuff at the mods:eek: We have not heard good things about the in room coffee.

Thanks if you can answer these pressing questions;)

If you are paying $ instead of points to stay at the Villas, you will get service like you were staying at the BC or YC (beds made, room cleaned, fresh towels, etc.). Did you book a studio or a one or two bedroom villa?

How hard is it to get from the Beach Club to Coronado Springs? Is it a fairly simple bus ride? Or are we going to be changing planes, trains and automobiles to get to the CS?

Thanks for your advice!

M.

One bedroom. I know so far to ask for wood/epcot view, don't stay on the ground floor, and that there is cookware/coffee/dinner plates but no salt and pepper.

Other than that I am just starting the research.

I would go to either DHS or Epcot and take the bus to CS and do it in reverse for the trip back! If you go to Epcot you will need a park ticket, if you go to DHS you don't have to enter the park just get off the boat and onto the bus.

Thats what I love about the Y&B - it's easy to get just about anywhere you want to go!

The BCV are always booked at 100%. Therefore, it is best to limit your request to one thing (not ground floor OR Woods/Epcot View). Make sure your request is listed on your reservation. It is too late to tell them when you check in! If you have more than one request, it makes it very hard for the room assignor. At the BCV, getting any of your requests met are very hard. Be prepared that you may not get any request met. As you know, I'm sure, requests are just requests and nothing is guaranteed except that you will get the type room you booked. When you check-in, if your request is not met, ask them to move you. If nothing is available on the day you check in, you can ask for a room change the first day a room is available that meets your request. The BCV is very small compared to other vacation club properties and because of the pool and the location of the resort, it is the hardest one to get into.

They do provide dishwashing/laundry/dishwasher soap. I believe they only provide one box of the laundry soap. You can purchase most of these items at the Marketplace. Someone that has stayed in a villa for $$ and not points can hopefully confirm all of this. I do know, however, that you definitely get full room clean and towels every day.

Teena, if you book through CRO they do provide as much laundry soap as you need. We stayed there in 2008 and are staying again in July 2011, having the washer/dryer is a HUGE plus. Less to pack!

Hi!
So excited to be joining you all. DH, DD3 and I will be staying at the BC in 2 weeks! Was wondering if anyone knew if we can enter Epcot through the IG for a pre-park opening ADR at Akershus (815 am). If not, how would we get there? Thank you very much!

Greetings all. This question has probably been asked, but I wasn't able to find an answer (just skimmed thru this wonderful thread - it's taken me almost an hour. A well-spent hour!)
We're booked in a Water View room Nov. 28 - Dec 3. What can we expect to see? I'm thinking of requesting a Full Balcony. Any thoughts?
We're a group of 3 adults. If there's no Daybed in the room, will it have more floor space?
Thanks so much for taking the time to answer my questions.

Teena, talked to DH about a split stay this morning as the YC CL WV is available for the first two nights we will be there and it would reduce the cost of the trip by about $100. He said no. Not for a five night stay. We did agree though that if we did six nights or more we would look at a split stay. He said he can't see moving after two nights. I do agree with that.

One thing that has caught my eye for a future trip is booking the platinum package for one or two nights and then transferring to a lower level package. I think we could make good use of a platinum package.

Yes you can enter there as long as you are on the reservations list.

Thank you!! I've made an ADR at a restaurant there and wanted to be sure we could get there fairly simply.

I've never stayed at the BC and am really excited! All of the comments here have really made it sound like I may never want to leave!!

Unless things have changed in that package recently, IT IS FANTASTIC IF you like to eat and do things other than just doing the parks. Before it was called the Platinum Package, it was the Grand Plan. We did it a few times at the GF. You eat, eat, eat. Your room is NOT on the club level but you still get itinerary planning. You don't need the lounge because you can pretty much eat non-stop and at the best places on that plan. We did horseback riding, rented those little boats every morning, went on a fishing excursions, etc. I haven't studied the platinum plan details in the last year or so but I assume they are still the same. I would never ever consider doing the platinum plan plus upgrading it to club level. Totally unnecessary in my opinion. When we did the Grand Plan, we felt like a royal family. It was soooo fun!!!

I agree that with a 5 night plan, splitting would be a pain.

If you booked at the BC and want a full balcony, then definitely request it. If you booked at the YC, you don't need to request a full balcony since all rooms have them or a patio.

You will see water ... either a pool or the lake or both.

No, you won't really have more floor space in the room without a daybed. The rooms at both the YC and BC are strange. They are pretty much all different ... some are laid out different, some are the same but there probably are 20 different sizes and shapes. Some are larger than others but most of the larger rooms have the daybeds and the smaller rooms don't. They are not like the rooms at some of the other resorts. All the rooms are not identical. Some have two beds and a desk, some have two beds, a daybed and a chest of drawers. Some have chairs in them (besides the desk chair), some don't. If you want a daybed, you should make that your request!!!

If you want a larger room, I would consider booking one of the deluxe rooms. They are much larger!!

Hi Teena,

Can you tell me what the difference is between a regular room at the BC and a 1 bedroom suite deluxe? We really wanted a 2 BRV but none are available so we have a 1BR. Daughter has back issues so wanted 2 beds instead of a sofa bed. Trying to decide if we should just switch to BCR in a 1 bedroom suite but don't know the size or difference between that and regular room. :confused3

Thanks so much~

We just switched over to a 2 BRV at Boardwalk - just came available which means our pins will also switch. Disneymouser 12/13-12/17 BWV :cheer2:

You won't. :goodvibes You are in for a treat and I bet you'll be planning your next trip back before your first day is over. Have a blast. :woohoo:

I took you off the list for the Y&B pins. I don't have or know anything about any Boardwalk pins.

Beach Club Villas: The studio is like a normal hotel room but has one queen bed and a queen sofa bed. It has a refrigerator (tiny), microwave and coffee maker.
The one bedroom villa has a living room with a queen sofa bed in it. The bedroom has a king bed in it. It has a full kitchen with dishwasher, normal size refrigerator, full size range/oven, etc. It looks like any full kitchen in any house or apartment. It also has a washer and dryer.
The two bedroom villas can be a one bedroom villa with a studio attached or instead a dedicated two bedroom villa which instead of the studio attached, it has a second bedroom with two queen beds in it. There are very few of the second type at the Beach Club Villas.

At the Beach Club Resort, there are no rooms or suites with full kitchens. All rooms at the Beach Club Resort have small refrigerators and coffee makers in them. Club level rooms also have dvd players in them.
A regular room, whether it be on the first, second, third or fourth floors or whether it's a regular club level room on the fifth floor is just a room. It either has a king bed in it, two queens or two queens and a daybed. There are a very few that have one queen and a daybed in it. These are all just regular hotel rooms.
The deluxe room (there are only six of them) are club level rooms that are scattered around the resort on the first four floors. They are extra large rooms and all have two queens and a daybed.
The one bedroom suite has a king bed in the bedroom, a study has a daybed in it and then there is a normal sized bathroom and a walk in closet. They of course are club level rooms. They are scattered on the first four floors.
The two bedroom suites have a living room in between two hotel rooms, each with their own regular bathrooms. One of the rooms has a king bed in it and the other room has two queens and a daybed in it. These suites are scattered on the first four floors also.
We also have a Vice Presidential suite which has a king bed. It's an unbelievable suite!!!! The bathroom is WOW. It's on the fifth floor.
Then there is the Presidential suite which has a master bedroom with a king bed and a bathroom which is bigger than my house. There's a beautiful foyer, a lovely living room, a large dining room and a second bedroom with two double beds in it with it's own regular bathroom. There is also a study near the second bedroom which has a daybed in it. There is also a walk-in closet. It's also on the fifth floor.

All club level rooms (including all the suites and the six deluxe rooms), of course, offer itinerary planning and the lounge where you get a wonderful breakfast, snacks all day, hot appetizers, beer and wine from 5-7 PM and then desserts and cordials from 8-10 PM.
Hope that helps.
